I am very surprised by the high reviews for this place. The only appeal is the view. Food was cold and lacking. Service wasn’t the best, they were nice but not attentive, no napkins or silverware on the tables. It feels like they just threw this restaurant together. If you want good food don’t come here. I would only be back for a drink and the view on a sunny day.

Located at the top of Hotel Lincoln, this rooftop bar has a fabulous ambiance! The vibe is cozy, industrial and modern and the views (particularly at sunset and beyond) of the city and lake are remarkable. We only had drinks, but the food looks good. The specialty beverage menu is very.... unique. There's a heavy hipster/millennial style which almost feels like forced creativity. Overall, the ambiance and position for taking in the Chicago skyline make the highly priced drinks feel more acceptable.

I really liked this place. We showed up right when they are opening so we had the rooftop all to ourselves. Just grabbed a few drinks and a little bite to eat before an art show we had tickets to. The bloody marry was pretty good. Our server was very friendly!

I was interested in this place because of the reviews but I can't understand where the praise is coming from because we had the worst imaginable service. For starters, we had to wait over an hour before we got a server and another 20 minutes before we got our food. The waiter we finally got didn't even apologize for making us wait so long. I specifically ordered the Italian Chicken Sandwich and knew before I touched it that it would be horrible based on the look alone. The chicken itself was boiled (description was that it was roasted) and was unseasoned, with soggy bread at the bottom. The drinks we ordered were likewise poorly made and I had to repeatedly contact both the host and the manager about basic things (like never receiving water, utensils, or a napkin). If not for the fact that the view was excellent, I'd have given this place 1 star. Nothing on the menu is worth the price and you're better off going somewhere else with a view.

Rooftop view is exceptional. Food is not good. I ordered a drink and two apps. One of them came with gray (literally) mushy coleslaw that was clearly made yesterday or perhaps even the day before. However long you need to refrigerate red and green cabbage slaw for it to turn gray, that's how old it was. The pork belly that came with had no flavor. Not smokey or salty as you might expect, just plain. Raspberry coulis accompaniment was too sweet and unpleasant especially when served with gray slaw. I sent it back, and I just don't do that. FWIW, the table next to me sent their Ceasar salad back as well. My other appetizer was grilled brussel sprouts, but I only ate the top layer. The rest were drenched in too sweet balsamic glaze and mushy red grapes. I love balsamic, but this was overpowering slop. The drinks menu was out of date, so I ordered my standard Tom Collins. It was okay. I wouldn't order another. Perhaps go for the view and tequila shots or something that J Parker can't mess up. The one star here is just for the view.

I had my wedding at J Parker last month and I still can not get over how perfect the entire evening was. The staff was SO attentive and really cared about making sure that our guests (and myself + groom) were always taken care of. I had guests tell me that the servers / bartenders had their drink orders memorized and would just bring them out to them when they saw an empty glass. I didn’t actually even order a drink from the bar the entire night because my glass was always full lol! On top of the tremendous service, the food was displayed beautifully and tasted amazing. No one left hungry that is for sure. I’m so glad we chose the J Parker to celebrate such a monumental day and they lived up to every expectation and BEYOND. Thank you J Parker crew!! We will be back!

Great place to chill for drinks, apps and great views. This place had a good vibe, staff were friendly and took time to explain the menu. I’d definitely come back here again.

10/10 definitely recommend this place, the vibes are just right especially in summer time. The views here are extremely beautiful and the staff is really friendly. My bartender Rollie was the best! Walked me through the menu and even made me a cocktail costume to my liking. The food here is great! Very fresh. I had baked potato soup it was soooo flavor filled! My salad was super fresh and the dressing was just right. A very nice spot !

My wife and I came here for a Sunday brunch, and oh man. J Parker did not disappoint. We had the bottomless mimosas, burger, and crab cakes. With the view overlooking the lake and the sun shine coming through the glass, it was the most perfect way to spend a Sunday. I highly recommend spending the afternoon with the Jparker staff sipping a mimosa. The staff was overly nice and sincere. I can't say enough great things about this place. Perfect place for a date, a get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, or just to read a book and overlook the lake and city. If you haven't already, go check out J parker!

The J Parker is a classic go to bar in Lincoln Park! One of the best parts of this place is the knock out views of Lake Michigan, Lincoln Park and the Chicago skyline. There are two rooms and outdoor seating available. The north room is so cozy and perfect for gathering on a winter day, while the north room is glass enclosed with openings for the summer. As most bars, they are known for their cocktails more than their food. I always find the food eh in comparison to other places. Hence the 4. Anyways, it’s perfect for a cocktail with visitors. They are always amazed by the view.

We recently had my daughter's wedding reception at the J Parker! The staff was amazing, they helped us decorate and were extremely pleasant and very attentive to our guests. We chose several apps and a carving station. The food was excellent. It was a wonderful night. The view was amazing. Would highly recommend!

This rooftop bar has great views of Lake Michigan! Drinks are good, and the service is spot on!! Great place to check out while visiting Chicago. Hotel Lincoln is super nice as well if you stay there.

The atmosphere of this establishment is amazing but the service did not match that energy. We went to celebrate a birthday and it was close to 9 o’clock, 30 mins before the kitchen closed. Zion B took our orders, failed to communicate some items were not available and when we went to order one more item close to 9:30pm he denied the request. It also didn't help that the kitchen was still open due to the establishment hosting a wedding. The food was not that great and the service was mediocre. I would prefer to enjoy the rooftop elsewhere.

We had such a great time being here! Visiting from LA we wanted to go to a rooftop and it did not disappoint. Beautiful view, great food and great service! Will was the absolute best!!!!! He was constantly checking in on us and making sure we were okay. He made my cousins birthday so fun! Can’t wait to come back!

Came here for drinks and light bites. The food here was majorly disappointing. I got the savory burrata and my boyfriend ordered the burger. While both were appalling, the burrata dish won the gold for worst burrata appetizer I’ve ever laid my eyes and tastebuds on. The menu claimed the bread would be focaccia but the bread that was served was 4 tiny triangles of white toast. Keep in mind this is an $18 dish. Nothing about this dish was fresh. It came out in a bowl of liquid that smelled off-putting and caused the bread to be soggy since the bread was served in the liquid. Honestly it seemed like a pool of butter mixed with oil. Also, no fresh basil in sight unless you count the few crumbs of unidentifiable green specs on top of the burrata which looked identical to the green specs that were sprinkled on my boyfriend’s fries that came with his burger (which makes me think it wasn’t even basil.) The tomatoes were wrinkly and some were bursted. The attached photos show the tomatoes as they were given to me. It was making me think that these must be some sort of weird canned tomatoes that they use in an effort to cut costs. So nasty. I couldn’t even bring myself to eat this after one bite. My boyfriend also said the burger was subpar and overcooked. Would not recommend.
