A lot of great information, it is set up to have a guided tour. They also have another warehouse with a lot of apparatus. Great information about Chicago fires that changed the way thing are done and codes that were changed to save lives.

A place to learn about the history of Chicago Fire Department and Chicago in general

Very cute little museum in an old fire house in Chicago, open the 4th Saturday of every month only. There are 3 different old firetrucks on site and lots of helmets and other gear. A group of older gentlemen, some previous firefighters, give you a tour and a huge history of the CFD and previous Chicago fires.
