I never knew this place existed, me and my partner went into the water tower and saw an ad saying this was on the 7th floor and we gave it a try. It was very nice and informative. I loved the included free games and the views on the top floor. Admission price was excellent $10 general Admission and student price was $8. They had a restaurant too, it smelled good but I ran out of timing due to parking. They also had a all gender bathroom 🚻 🏳️‍🌈

It is located inside the Water Tower (a huge shopping center). Take the elevator all the way up and you will see a nice restaurant at the end of the hall, next to the restsurant is the museum. If you like sports, I think you may enjoy this museum. Be aware that it is super small and entrance is $10 per person.

I didn’t know this was here until I searched around online, looking for things to do in Chicago. I’m not a diehard Chicago sports fan but I thought this museum was fun and interactive. It’s located on level 7 of the Water Tower and admission is $10 for an adult. You don’t need a guided tour or anything. Since it’s kind of hidden and not too many people know about this, it wasn’t even busy when I went. You also have the whole place to yourself. Be sure to look on the website because if there’s a private event going on, then the museum will be closed. I went on a weekday so there wasn’t an issue.

Chicago has so much interesting history and it's really cool to see that this place exists. I hope a lot of people come here for many years and also that many things can donated because it's really important for everyone to know all this interesting history about Chicago and also enjoy reminiscing. so hopefully one day I can stop by and really enjoy the past of Chicago. I definitely look forward to learning some new stuff.

Really cool interactive museum with sports history of Chicago teams! I suggest you dine at the restaurant to get free entree into the museum. The burger I had was tasty and cooked to perfection. Good views of Chicago from the restaurant too. Many TVs inside the restaurant to watch sports.

Fun way to spend a rainy day, located inside a mall setting upstairs and admission was free if you ate dinner at the adjoining restaurant, prices were reasonable. It was better than I thought it would be !

If you’re tired of shopping at the water tower place or just need a break while your partner is browsing through their favorite dresses stop by at the Chicago Sports Museum on the 7th floor. Entry is $10/person and in this (very) small museum you’ll find some collectibles and relics from the glory days of the bulls, the cubs and many more. If you aren’t into basketball and baseball it can get a bit boring since there isn’t much to explore.

Lots of history in the Chicago Sports Museum that was so enjoyable to view while spending a delightful & enthusiastic day in Chicago Water Tower Place where we also dined at Haray Caray's Restaurant & Sports Bar.😋

I took my 9-year old here and we were excited to see it for the first time. Unfortunately, many of the exhibits were out of order. They really should not charge people until they get all the exhibits working.

Went on an off day (Friday afternoon) with my brother and we were the only ones there for a good while. If you have a bit of extra time, walk into the restaurant and grab a few drinks to get free admission! The museum itself is small… 30-40 minutes to get through it. It’s well kept and has some key memorabilia for adults to check out and XBox Kinect sports games for the kids (and adults too!). It’s a good spot to visit if you want a break from shopping, all while grabbing a drink or bite with a friend and having some stuff to talk about. Check it out!

Loved stopping in and checking this museum out! We are at Harry Caray’s and got free admission. We were the only ones in there and my kids loved it. My son and I relished in sports memories while my daughters enjoyed the interactive exhibits.

It's small, but worth the trip if you're in the city. Lots of cool memorabilia and interactive things to do.

Excellent! Only $10. So many interactive games to play. My son is 18 & absolutely loved it. We learned so many facts! He is a huge football fan so his favorite was the interactive football throw game. We definitely will be back. Extremely clean & organized. It was wonderful. You get to take cool photos with the atmosphere.

Went for a private event. The food was very good and the staff were very professional and attentive. There are great attractions to experience.

More like a private collection than a museum, some interactive activities. Wouldn’t recommend making this a spot to pencil in, if you’re going to Harry Caray’s then worth popping in, just show your receipt to the receptionist to get free entry, so to speak.

For a museum, it was a little small but had some good stuff in there. Worth the trip.

    Really fun place to visit.

  • 3/5 Joona S. 1 year ago on Google
Name is deceiving, it is more of a collection of (Chicago) sports related stuff rather than a museum worth the name it has. If you get a drink/food at the bar, entrance is for free. Absolutely no point in paying the fee otherwise. In addition to some memories, it has some interactive games as well

Really awesome spot! We went for brunch after my wedding and it was a fun place to gather and show off the Chicago views and sports teams! All our guests loved it, the food and service was fantastic!

Lots of cool sports memorabilia, stories and Interactive displays. The interactive displays have been heavily touched and I didn't see cleaning opportunities available. It was a good time. Just eat at the restaurant to get free admission.

So much fun and interactive museum (especially if you are a Chicago sports fan) they have so much to look at! We went for free after eating at Harry Carrys (which was delicious)

Fun museum to learn about prime Chicago sports history. Very interactive.

It reminded me of those museums that pepper the interstates (free when you eat the the restaurant!), that are one big room they call a museum. I really have to give this museum credit, though, for their very high level of interactivity. I went because I'm writing a book about baseball and I wanted to get in the mindset a little. They did have some old baseball memorabilia but the integrative exhibits were by far the most fun for someone who knows next to nothing about sports. For sports people, I assume the exhibits meant something to them, too, aside from getting to do things. I got to test my reflexes, "hit" home runs in a virtual simulation, and learn just how tiny my hands are compared to Michael Jordan's. Chicago has a rich sports history, so whether you prefer sports or history, I think the museum is worth the affordable admission price.

This is great fun; and free if you eat at Harry Caray's ($10 otherwise). It's about an hour, great for any sports fan, not just Chicago fans.

Great little sports museum in the water tower shopping mall next to Harry Carey's. Priced right at only $6 and totally worth it. If you ear at Harry Carey's then you get a credit for each ticket you bought. For the money, this is such an awesome interactive museum great for all ages. Even have nice views of the city and lake.

Had a few hours spare and stumbled upon this museum. Very interesting if you’re into sports. Had a drink and a burger in the bar after which was good.(Visited October 2018)

I have visited the museum with very low hopes. I wasn't expecting much. But I was disappointed. The race car shift paddles and gas pedal weren't working. No accessories in photo boot. After a 10$ entry fee, the baby foot table was pay to play. Could not find anything to play at the ping pong table either. The goaler game was not working at all. Camera did not see mee. Xbox game was stuck on sign in screen. At least the ticket value can bee used in the resto. Got myself a beer. At least that worked...

This was my first time In this establishment and my experience was very poor. It was five of us. We received poor service. The waitress forgot one of the orders for one of the people that was in our party. I got the nachos and the salsa that came with it was spoiled. When I stuck my tortilla chip in it, it started bubbling and the taste was hot and ranted. The manager change it out with a fresh one. But, to only realize that the nachos were horrible. My cousin got a pretzel and the dipping sauce had the some problem the sauce was bubbly and spoiled and the cheese sauce was horrible. Her cocktails drink taste like medicine. My mom had the Chicken Vesuvio and the chicken wasn’t cook all the way through and the taste was not good. Overall I will not be back and did not have a good experience and totally not satisfied!! Discussed!!

A couple of cool items but a lot of the machines and games weren't working, I'd say it's not worth the 10 bucks it costs to get in without dining in.

Drove all the way from Michigan and planned on greeking out with my son while the girls shopped….Closed for a private event! That would of been nice to be posted online or even a sign on the door. My trip to Chicago was ruined! The only thing the boys wanted to do and no heads up. I guess you guys don’t care about the general public.
