The Vietnam Veterans Fountain is the work of American writer, artist and Vietnam Vet Gary Tillery (2005) and is dedicated to those who served in all branches of the armed forces during the war. You will find a rectangular shaped pool, stone wall with the engraving Chicago Remembers above a list of names of those from the State of Illinois who died in the conflict.

Great place to remember the veterans of the Vietnam war! The timeline in the cement has been worn down, so it's hard to read, but overall really great!

Visited the day before remembering 9/11... It was very sobering to see the escalation in casualties by year and physically see the sacrifice many and their families have paid. I wish the grounds could be maintained a bit more in order to honor said sacrifices i.e. cobweb and spider removal specifically before major remembrance holidays when foot traffic may be increased.

Well placed for being in such a dense part of the city. Its lower, near the river and relatively serene

Beautiful, peaceful place with reflection pool. Visited on Memorial Day. Many had left flowers and photos of their fallen loved ones. Brought spontaneous tears to my eyes. The rain added to the mood of sadness and reflection.

Chicago down town is beatiful with river illinois dividing north and south chicago. The architecture boat rise will give all the historical background of the big buildings located here. One can find all big brands for shopping here . Besides main michigan avenue i thing state avenue is also good for shopping with many knows shops and brands like target ,vans ,macy, etc . One can go for lunch or dinner iin the big honcock building just at the entry of Michigan avenue on 95 floor. It gives best view of the lake and downtown. The trump tower is on the river next to the bridge . Most of the top brand hotels westin mariott hilton imperial drake can be seen here

This is a nice Memorial for the lives lost in the Vietnam war. On the occasions I've walked through it has been clean and well-maintained. Visiting a non-working fountain is a tad unsightly.

Beautiful weather made this a perfect location for a picnic overlooking the river. They do not want dogs in this area.

A small memorial along the Chicago Riverwalk. It’s very sobering to see the amount of deaths from the war.

Wish it was better marked as a War Memorial. Lots of disrespectfull activities and people there.

I am a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. I didn't know this existed until recently. March 29, 2023 was the first time I visited this site.
