Love Washington Park!! It’s a huge park with tons of trails and lagoons and spots to play. I go for runs here often and can enjoy a bunch of scenery as well as urban wildlife! Almost stepped on a turtle! The bird watching is greasy! There are also tons of events like the Universoul Circus!

It was very safe and beautiful. People always place Chicago in a bad light. But Chicago parks are amazing and beautiful. When everyone sticks together. I love the atmosphere here its simply beautiful and awe inspiring.

I came to Washington Park to see the Fountain of Time. While there's no water in the pool during the winter/spring, it gave me the advantage of stepping into the empty pool and walk right up to see the sculpture for closer photographs. Walk around the backside of the sculpture as you get to see more figures and expressive images on the back that you can't see from the front of the fountain. * Remember to keep Chicago beautiful and place your trash in the garbage can and scoop after your pets. Thanks for reading my review!

Great park. Attend Ghanafest every July here. Lots of food, art, vendors and many more. Always great to see people from all over come to take part in Ghanafest.

Thoroughly enjoyed Father’s Day down here. It was beautiful to see so many people out enjoying their day with no issue. Only complaint would be the stock (or lack thereof) of tissue soap and paper towel in the bathroom. Shout out to the sisters with baby wipes and shared.

Gorgeous park that's great for dog walks with lots of weeping willows. I wouldn't go alone or at night though, the area doesn't feel the safest.

If you ever want to escape the stress of the city but cannot travel away to get some nature in you this is the park/location. Washington Park helped us relief some of the tension and stress we had all week. Can't wait for the Spring to get here.

We were there for the Chi Wellness Circle 2k walk, run and roll. The park itself is nice. Lots of family and community activities happening that day. Parking was great. The only concern I had was locating restrooms near the area of the park we were (directly across from the DuSable Museum). We had a very good experience at Washington Park. Would definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful park. It still is as beautiful as it waswhen my dad took my mom and me walking there after dinner every Sunday evening when I was 9 years old. I am now 85 yrs old. The location is nice and it ends near the University of Chicago Hospitals and the Midway.

A place that can change your mind about a cookout. You want to set up your grill right away, because of the beautiful trees an green grass. You can smell the out doors when you get started grilling.

Washington park is really big so there is plenty of space...my son had a cross country meet there. Other than that I'm not too familiar. It's not the best neighborhood but the university is near by!

Washington Park is staple of my family. Our lives have always involved enjoy the beauty and grandness of this park. Washington Park is one of the most stunning parks in Chicago and we were most recently there for the African festival of the arts which is my most favorite event in the entire world!

Unless you have to go to this park. Try not to very dirty and it's a trap. Very confusing and once again speed traps all over the place. It's a hustle. Nothing magnificent about the park and looks like a place where I wouldn't want to be at night. I seen joggers early morning all around. This park is speed traps. I go over there to park because I go to the hospital across the street if you can stay away from this park

Beautiful park, it's large and a great place to bbq or exercise in peace. There's a path for runners, a tennis court, playground, baseball field, and a large free parking lot. I go here daily to walk my dog and it's always kept clean and mowed for the most part.

On Sunday, there was a stepper's set that turned out beautifully. A variety of DJ's, people and food! Families from all over Chicago and the surrounding areas were represented. People brought tents, blankets and barbecue grills. The weather was perfect Everyone was enjoying themselves dancing, laughing, conversing and the children were playing. It was a lovely experience and there was no drama. A real grown affair. I will return next year. The only downfall was not sufficient lavatories.

After my first visit on Saturday (82 in CA incredibly crowded), I'm sold. Baker is a hard-to-get-to beach with an unparalleled view of the bridge and ocean. This beach is clean, with soft sand, and a great mix of families and groups of friends.

I don't dislike Washington Park. The park is beautiful; however, the park is in an area that needs security specialists, and I rarely see any around. The Chicago police drives through occasionally on their way to some other place. Sadly as it may seem, there are areas of Chicago where security is required. The crime rate in Chicago is high because security specialists are so few. Security doesn't have to consist of only of police. Patrols can be implemented consisting of ex military personnel retrained to protect property and provide safety. So sad this great space is so sparsely used

The Jerk and Vegan festival was ok. The food wasn't the best. I wish they had more varieties. Each food truck almost had the exact same thing. Music was fine; wish they had more island music.

Washington Park is amazing. It’s the third largest park in Chicago. Very clean and lots of things for visitors to do. I’m a frequent visitor during the summer. Met the Park Manager who was very nice and informative. Check the Chicago Park District Website for Programs.

Dusable Museum of African American History...! When was your last visit there...? You might be overdue... Attended the Women's Gala held in December 2021. Silent Auction, Excellent Jazz Trio, The Band in the Auditorium absolutely performed righteously, Maurice 'Ice' Culpepper is a 'jam master!' He has transcended the term 'DJ'... The cuisine that day, along with the desserts were on point! The exhibits will remind you of where we have been....and show you, along with today's news events, just how far we still have to go...Get there!

The Bud Billiken Parade held It Takes A Village Family Fair in Washington Park and it was awesome. The variety of vendors and participants there was a great experience for families experiencing both the Parade and the celebration in the park. It was located near Dyett High School on the Northwest side near the softball fields. We look forward to next year's festival.

Walked through the park to get to the DuSable Museum of African American History. Nice park and a beautiful walk. On the other hand, driving through the park from the eastern entrance at Cottage Grove and Drexel Blvd. at 51st Street (a.k.a. Hyde Park Blvd. is like going through an obstacle course trying to avoid the craters and potholes on the road. It is in much need of a serious resurfacing job using quality material and not just patching the spots.

Ghana-festival. All Ghanaian communities in Chicago, dignitaries from Ghana and all over the world were present including the tribal chiefs and elders. It was excellent and colorful. Musicians from Ghana displayed their talents. Numerous vendors were also present. Very joyful.
