This is a really nice park! You can have a baseball game, a tennis match, a soccer game, a picnic under the tree, a seat on a bench, a walk through the trails, a look from the gazebo, fun at the kiddy playground... or just a walk in the park!

Wow, I had no idea this was in my neighborhood! Indoor pool and a workout room. Pool is free and for $15 a month you can use the workout equipment. Chicago is hard in the winter but knowing I can swim in a heated indoor pool every day if I want really honestly makes me happier than I can express.

This is a park where you can easily lose track of time. This is one of the best green spaces in our city.

Great place to make dog friends. The grass is very lacking and there's no dedicated area for dogs which is unfortunate but the neighborhood and the Park's size are great. Grass based sports and tennis only though, no basketball courts to my recollection

Such a cool park! Our 5 year old enjoyed the large playground. Our dogs loved walking around on the paved walking path that surrounds the park. Beautiful scenery! Recommend!

This is such a fun park! They have a good playground and also a nature area for climbing on tree stumps and things. There is also a lot of green space for playing soccer, flying a kite, etc. Love it here!

A lot of history with regard to Welles park. Also a lot of great memories having grown up near by. Was always a bastion of democratic patronage, but by today's standards...sounds like the radicals are in charge. I will not even allow them the term democrat, more like open border socialist. Where's Ed Kelly when you need him?

... also serves so very well as an 'early-voting site' for the great 47th Ward when needed. Great overall atmosphere having its knowledgeable and friendly folks for support too. 🗳 🇺🇸

Great playground and trail around the park. Love the nature area, the gazebo, and the indoor facilities have a good variety when open. Water feature at the park in the summer which is nice too. Only drawback is all the open space means very little shade, so pack your sunscreen! If you have the opportunity to see Shakespeare in the park here, do it! Great place for families and kids.

Be careful of the Croatian bocce players they were saying lascivious comments to anyone who got in the way of their bocce game. I sat near them to garner their wisdom and turns out they are reverse knowledgeable. They have an implied ownership of the southwest corner of the park, so just avoid it. Otherwise *****

A great park in Lincoln Square with a gazebo, ‘natural’ area, multiple baseball fields, tennis courts, and a horseshoe court. The park also has a city building that houses a gymnasium, pool, and gym (access varies, but they do have inexpensive membership programs). In the warmer months you’ll see ballgames and picnics all over the park- with live music and theater productions also popping up.

Been coming here since I was a child. They have a pool and a phenomenal day camp. The provincial library is directly across the road just as Queen of Angels church and school and a couple of bars. You could basically live here.

There is some really cool and unique stuff at this park. Spent many fun hours with my kids here. 5 stars. The tennis courts are 1 star. They've been nicely resurfaced. But the nets are low, the backcourt is 5 feet short (my friend hurt himself pretty bad running back for a ball and not expecting the fence there), and it slopes downward! You're actually servicing downhill as there's a visible slope - I've never seen a court that wasn't flat before.

Great Northside park with a nature play area, playground, gazebo (used for summer concerts), summertime water feature, several baseball fields, open areas for picnics, small hills for sledding, field house with basketball court, and indoor pool. The Sulzer Library regional branch is across the street.

Been coming here since I was a kid. They have a pool and a fantastic summer camp. The regional library is right across the street as well as Queen of Angels church and school and a few taverns. You could pretty much live here.

Welles Park is such a gem in the city! There's an indoor pool, a playground with a water spray thing, baseball, tennis, football, a grand stand type of gazebo thing and more. I've even seen Shakespeare in the Park performances there! It's very well maintained - a great park for families!
