I've been Fishing it all my life, well since 4 with My Grandfather. Now I bring my kids here. Its been reconstructed in 2018 to invite all to the water. Not just the angler motivated. I wish there were more trees, But in due time. Open, Peaceful and Beautiful right in the city. I don't even have to launch my kayak under bridges now. They have launches, Docks, Check it out. I’m and my local videos Youtube/ GeoFishing

This park is huge, even for a Chicago park. A long running trail follows the river, with lots of little trails that dip down closer to the water, and a rock stairway to a little fishing hole. No word on any catches. Huge public pool that right now opens to 75 people max per hour. If you don't want to wait in line, show up at :15 past the hour. Huge playground, many swings, multiple volleyball nets, a 5 court tennis court, a gymnasium in the park house, giant shady trees all over the park. Wildflowers grow up and down the river. There's even a shotput and discus training ring by the trail, but I haven't seen it opened up for use. The park is so big there's probably a lot I don't know about.

Along the Chicago River and the fork of the North Branch of the Chicago River. The restoration along the East bank by the Army Corps of Engineers laid down new river trails and resting spots to view wildlife habitats of the Great Blue Herons in the river, Black-Crowned Heron in the trees, Double-Crested Cormorants and more. The new walking and biking trails connect to Ronan Park and Legion Park. There are hundreds of trees too in almost 29 acres, like the very interesting Scots Pine. They have all the amenities you’d expect, like 7 tennis courts, 2 baseball fields, playgrounds, a field house but also includes a canoe launch, swimming pool, an interactive water playground, artificial turf soccer field, running track, a soft-surface playground, and a community garden. This is a park that has it all!

Love this park. Great for a picnic even with all the pandemic. Plenty of space the distance from everyone else, and still find shade under a tree. Play Grounds was pretty empty last time we went, in the same box as well. Pool and splash pad remain closed still.

Huge park, great variety. Lots for all age groups: small stuff for young babies, medium for toddlers, and lots of intense climbing stuff for older kids. So many swings. Great padded ground. Huge volleyball court if your kids like to play in sand. Only con: can be difficult to find parking.

This park is great for all kids. There is so much space for kids to walk around, explore and bike. I have a 1 and 2 yr old and they love the balance beam. The little slide is perfect for my little one. There are benches and steps nearby for parents to sit back. The only downside is, there is no shade near the swings.

The park is nice and has baseball fields, tennis courts, and playgrounds. The park is also perfect for biking with some trails near the water.

This park is so luscious...green and vibrant! The trail enhances the topography of the land it sits on. It's nice to take in the rushing water off the North Shore Channel. It's very well laid out. Just gorgeous.

A beautiful and quickly evolving park. A lot of work has gone into this place in recent years to make it even more enjoyable for visitors of all sorts. Whether you're biking, kayaking, birding (that's me!), fishing, or just enjoying the outdoors, you can expect great views of the river, beautiful sunsets, diverse species, and lovely open spaces for games, picnics, and more. This place is a staple for the community.

This was the first time me and my gf visited this park. We were amazed by how nice it was and the walks down to the little river was perfect. All this time we never knew what we were missing. Now this will be one of our favorite go to spots for a nice calming walk. I highly recommend it to everyone

River Park is a big recreational area with playground, park building, paths by the river, outdoor pool, and water play area. Looks like there's a dog run in one area too l. Most weekends there are lots of picnics and birthday parties going on. Sometimes it's hard to find parking but you can usually find a spot within a block, just check for permit signs. Some of the facilities are a bit old, like the rusty lockers in the pool house. Staff are helpful and keep an eye on everything.

This was the first occasion when me and my gf visited this park. We were astounded by how pleasant it was and the strolls down to the little stream was great. This time we never knew what we were absent. Presently this will be one of our most loved go to spots for a decent quieting walk. I energetically prescribe it to everybody

Very clean park. Good for joggers, walking, and other outside activities. Fishing could be better but they just redeveloped the riverside.

Very scenic with the North Channel of the Chicago River. With many options for dog park, playground, pool, baseball, volleyball, and more. Great for running and biking.

This park feels like there's alot of under utilized space. They do have great tennis courts and an awesome baseball field. Parking seems to be fantastic and it has accessible bike racks and a divvy station. I don't think there is anyone taking care of the park though. It looks un-maintained. There's leaves all over the place and downed branches. But it looks like they're looking for the budget to really build things. I hope they do it soon!

Really nice park with tennis court, sand volleyball and a pool. There is a playground for kids that neat and tidy. Highly recommended.

I may be biased, but I love this park. The layout, amenities, and paths line the river. With just the perfect amount of tree coverage, this is a great spot for laying out a blanket, playing tennis or volleyball, riding, walking, running, or anything. There is enough space for everyone to do their own thing. Across the river, a track and turf field welcome any and all in need of a running surface or soccer pitch. It covers all bases, and I gotta say, it rules.

This is a beautiful park where the river splits. A lot of nature and people being respectful of social distancing.
