Donovan Park is a large, active park with a variety of athletic fields/courts (baseball/softball, basketball, and volleyball) as well as a nice playground and water spray feature. The playground is located in the northeast corner of the park and includes a standard set of swings and a long and narrow play structure with slides, climbing elements, and monkey bars. The water spray feature is a standard 'four sprayer' that is located near a small park district building. The open and sunny play area is fenced from the street and the play surface is wood chips. There are a few benches and a drinking fountain and the park building provides access to bathrooms (when open). All in all, this is a nice neighborhood park.

This is a great park with swings and playground equipment that appeals to a variety of ages. It also has a water play area with sprinklers.

Great little neighborhood park in Bridgeport. Small field house that has programs geared toward little ones. Two baseball fields, a basketball court and a playground for outdoor fun.

This is the photo of a legend of Donavan Park. His name was Tommy Roger's, aka Rhino. May God have mercy on your soul and keep us safe down here ! We miss you, bro! Your legend lives on.......

Good park good area city maintains this park i guess because majority of hard working people. They keep the savages from the other side out of there so really no reason to fear but again is chicago. No basketball courts so you would not be seeing you know who.Big baseball softball field.

Great playground with plenty of parking. Just be careful of white Sox game parking restrictions!

Great park, it would just be nice if the basketball court stayed open while little league games were in play.

I cannot express enough how amazing this place. Lets start with the people Ms. Liz is the director of the park and i'ma just say one thing TODDLER WHISPERER!! If you want to start your 3-4 year old (i think she goes younger but i'm not for sure look at the Chicago park district website) to playschool or kiddie college but slowly Ms. Liz and Ms Cassidy are the best. I have had experience with Ms. Liz through the McKinley Park district when my older kids were toddler age and still time and time she seems to have gotten more wholesome and amazing with the kids. My 3yo follows her around and if she became a teacher it will probably be because her second impression of a teacher is so wonderful. The first being me. She makes me extremely comfortable leaving my child that can be hard for some moms. The space is nice and clean and she is always prepared for a full day of fun educational activities. Sometimes it's hard to even get the kids to leave. The playground seems a little big for the toddler age child but they seem to navigate fine.

Donavon park was a very well kept park. The baseball fields were very dry even when it had rained so much before. The playground is basic but very fun still. There is also a basketball court and it is fun. I totally recommend going to this park for baseball, fun in the playground, or basketball.
