Had very memorable memories there, I highly recommend the place, never seen crime happening, besides the steal deal of the Paleteros.

Rough neighborhood to be in unless you live there. This park does great things for its community though. It really has nice things to offer. Building itself is usually pretty clean, it's patrons could use a lesson in housekeeping. There's always trash outside, no fault to the park itself though. They do have great softball games there too.

Nice park, it has children area games, and some other attractions. But still you find gangs fighting arround in that area... it's not every day but you never know when is going to be unpleasant and dangerous. I believe there are better places to visit in Chicago.

Davis Square Park, a historic park that opened in 1905 to provide social services to the neighborhood, is still open and is still providing services and amenities to the neighborhood. The playground area features a play structure and an assortment of playground equipment for climbing and traversing. Rounding out the equipment, there is a small set of swings as well as a large "four sprayer" water spray feature. There are some of the classic playground features - benches for seating, a drinking fountain, a play surface of wood chips - without any additional frills or comforts. The playground is situated near the southeast corner of the park and just south of the fieldhouse that provide bathroom access (when open). All in all, this is a normal neighborhood playground in a large and historic park.

Steeped in history since its opening in 1905, Davis Square Park stands as a testament to providing essential social services to the neighborhood and community. The park boasts a well-equipped playground area featuring a diverse range of structures, including playsets, juggle gyms for climbing and sliding, swings, and water sprayers when Summer comes. Benches, a drinking fountain, and a wood chip play surface. Access to bathrooms when open. Beyond the physical play area, Davis Square Park offers a range of engaging programs. I highly recommend exploring offerings such as after-school activities and music classes. Personally attending music classes during high school, led by Professor "Butter Butter," even resulted in participating in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade downtown—a testament to the diverse and enriching experiences the park provides. The park's Boxing program stands out as one of the city's best, offering a transformative journey from beginner to class amateur. This program, which my brother introduced me to, played a significant role in boosting my self-confidence and aiding in weight loss. The coach's unwavering dedication is evident in the personalized attention given to each gym-goer. From teaching the basics of boxing to ensuring proper hand wraps and safety during workouts, the program covers all aspects. With an array of boxing equipment, including heavy bags, double handbags, speed bags, jump ropes, and even a boxing ring, the facility caters to diverse training needs. Beyond physical fitness, the coach fosters an environment that encourages participants to pursue amateur boxing records, guiding them to competitions like the Gold Gloves Tournament for those ready and motivated. Davis Square Park has not only left an indelible mark on my personal development but has also become a cherished space for creating memories with family and friends. In summary, Davis Square Park emerges as one of the city's best public parks, offering not only well-maintained facilities and diverse programs but also a welcoming atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone in the community to come out, get involved, and experience the unique blend of history, community, and personal growth that Davis Square Park has to offer.

It would be excellent if they stopped smoking cannabis in the children's area and it would be better if there were more police officers

Staff are super nice! They conveniently have parking right in front of the field house. Their bathrooms are well kept and it’s a calm park.

From the Director Don, to the janitor, you can't find a more loving, understanding and compassionate staff. Your children will be safe and well taken care of. Davis Square is a hidden gem. I would recommend Davis to everyone.
