One of my favorite parks in Chicago. The park has a big field, a dog park, basketball court, childrens playground area with swings, a path that runs the length of the park along the Damon side and field house where you can register to take different classes via Chicago Park District. Wicker (Charles, Joel) Park also has a gorgeous little fountain that was just recently fully restored. This spot is reminiscent of the Washington Square park in NYC but smaller. In the summertime there are outdoor performances. It is also the summer location of the Wicker Park Farmer’s Market.

Wicker Park is definitely one of my absolute favorite neighborhoods in Chicago. Centered on the 3-way intersection of N Milwaukee, N Damen, and W North Avenues, Wicker Park is an eclectic hub of food, shops, bars and people. The atmosphere is vibrant whatever the weather. Beautiful stately homes, condos, and apartments on Schiller Avenue just south of the main pedestrian area line the street across from the triangular actual Wicker Park green space. Needless to say the rents are stately too. But the architecture adds to the unique aesthetics of the neighborhood that is Wicker Park.

Great park to visit whether you want to zen out alone, spend time with family and friends, or meet new people. It's busy, yet relaxing and comfortable. A group of us came Sunday afternoon for an acroyoga jam. Some novice, some advanced, some never tried before. The park has a lot of well maintained grass. There's a very popular dog park that seems nice. And also basketball courts.

I was born and raised in Chicago wicker Park was the part that we always play baseball everything that any sport that we can play throughout the week that's what we did and we can park was a quiet decent neighborhood cuz we try to make it that way but it didn't but today's date is the most beautiful Park in the middle of the getto people today is the most beautiful neighborhood I could not believe the change which is a good change I'm for a great change but if you want to go to Chicago on time go to work humble Park is still the same which is only like maybe six blocks from me and that's why I grew up everything on the corner I'm division. Wicker Park the way looks now Humboldt Park was better yes you can fish there you can swim there they had a lake in the park that has too many beautiful flowers run by the police till one day it was a riot and they found bodies in that Park so they knocked down so many trees that you can see the park all the way through the other side it's like that Park in New York City except Central Park. Was also a beautiful Park I don't know what it looks like now but I'm sure it's changed cuz everything that has to be a change just like the Easter Pennsylvania my phone don't forget go to Chicago enjoy the park

Nice place to visit. Kids had alot of fun running around. There is also a playground located here where its not too bad for a toddler to play on since its not so tall.

This review is focused on the playground - which is great. There are two large areas - one for older children and one for younger - as well as a small water spray feature. The area for older children features a large and sprawling play structure with a variety of climbing elements and slides. The area for younger children is quite small and features a small structure with two slides. The water spray feature are two misting bears that provide a gentle mist of water and are very cute. There are also two sets of swings with the standard Park District options. The other amenities of the park are also very solid. The playground is fully enclosed and the play surface is soft rubber. There are benches, picnic tables, and a drinking fountain in the play area and the nearby fieldhouse provides access to bathrooms (when open). There are even some trees that provide some shade throughout the day. All in all a great playground; highly recommend.

Dedicated on September 21, 2006, the life-size bronze sculpture of Charles Gustavus Wicker (1820-89) in his namesake Chicago park depicts the businessman, politician, and developer as an almost forbidding figure. As imagined by sole living descendant, great-granddaughter and sculptor Nancy Deborah Wicker of Harvard, IL, the man who gave the neighborhood its name is shown wearing a grim visage, a Lincoln-like stovepipe hat, and a bulky overcoat that makes him look like a Wild West lawman. All that’s missing is a horse (as if the Park District needs another equestrian statue, anyway).

I love this area. I walk my dog here and stop in the dog park sometimes. There’s farmers markets on Sunday’s during the nicer months. The only con is that you won’t find parking.

Great Sunday farmers market with fresh and delicious options such of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, donuts, bread, and so much more. Vert dog friendly, and the vendors are wonderful.

The dog park is pretty great. Love the farmer's market. Stop and take in the fountain for a bit of peace in the big city.

This is one of my favorite parks in the city. The community is very involved in hosting events and activities through out the year.

Amazing neighborhood! The local coffee shops, independent shops, and farmer’s market all contribute to this incredible atmosphere. A must see in Chicago!

Such fun at this park. High quality grass. Many birds. No dolphins, but I ate a hot dog.

This is a nice little park. The fountain wasn't working yet but still it was very nice.

Nice place, lots of beautiful flowers, a place perfect for some photo shoot. There are also playgrounds so children will also find something for themselves. A plus is that you can take your pet for a walk;)
