Probably my favorite place in Chicago, this park is awesome, there is lots to do, great place for a walk, taking photos or even visit some barnyard animals. Great place for visitors of all ages.

An amazing park with a huge amount of green space, plenty benches and trails, and great city views. It also includes many statues, playing fields, playgrounds, a pond with a nature boardwalk, the free Lincoln Park Zoo, the free Lincoln Park Conservatory, Chicago History Museum, Nature Museum and two beaches. The park is well maintained and clean. A great experience overall and one can go back multiple times each time enjoying something different.

Lincoln Park in Chicago is a gem, offering serene views and lush greenery. The conservatory is a standout, a tranquil oasis with exotic plants and lovely displays. A must-visit for nature lovers!

Lincoln Park is the biggest park of Chicago in affluent neighborhood. The Chicago River is on the West border of the park and the Michigan Lake is on the East border. It feels relaxing and refreshing walking through the grounds of Lincoln Park with a view of Chicago skyline. We visited in the pleasant morning during early May. Lincoln Park has many attractions like Lincoln Park Zoo, Lincoln Park Conservatory, Chicago History Museum, North Pond Nature Sanctuary and North Avenue Beach etc. Lincoln Park Zoo is free but unfortunately, we couldn’t visit due to time constraint. This area is also one of the leading entertainment and food hub with best restaurants in Chicago. Lincoln Park Conservatory showcases the exotic plants from all over the world. It is nice to gaze at sparkling blue waters of Lake Michigan from the sandy shores of North Avenue Beach. There are statues and public arts worth watching. Unfortunately, there were many mosquitoes or some kind of flying insects near the water in the early May when we visited this place.

Easy to find parking as there is plenty. The zoo is not the most equipment but they do keep it pretty clean for being free entry. There are all different kinds of animals and insects. Need about 2 hours to go though the whole thing. Plenty of places to sit down and rest and many restrooms on site. Do also do have a lot of snack options available.

Beautiful neighborhood and a great example of urban traditional community planning. While there's a great transit system in the city, you really don't need it in this neighborhood to get to attractions, features, and recreation. It doesn't hurt to have options, but if all you brought was a bike or your own two feet, you're within reach of all of these conveniences and luxuries.

Very good place to spend some time walking looking at the animals in the zoos, free entrance, you just have to pay the parking lot or if you are lucky you can find a free parking

I love it, I got to enjoy a morning there with my kids and was really pretty out there, you can enjoy for a good walk or ice skating on the rink. There is so much green area but the playgrounds are still closed for covid. There are public clean bathrooms and there is a lot of places to park (you have to paid for it or make an early reservations makes it more convenient)

Wear the right shoes and walk on the nature board walk. It is delightful. Or sit on a bench and get lost in thoughts.

An incredible zoo, free to the public. Right next to the (also free) conservatory. Every time I have a great time, so much joy from the atmosphere and the animals. Good for all ages, but I am speaking as an adult who loves seeing animals. It is a must see in Chicago. I can't believe this oasis exists in my city.

Had a nice long afternoon walk through Lincoln Park. The Conservatory was a nice free area to walk through and also made for a good moment of being out from under the sun. They have a Zoo which is also free to walk through. I don’t think I got to see the whole park on my visit so I’ll definitely have to visit again.

Beautiful Park! We loved the Lincoln Park Conservatory and the zoo. Both were free. Booking an appointment time is recommended for the conservatory. We had the first appointment of the day and almost had the place to ourselves. Following that, we walked to the nearby Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool. It's worth the short walk. It was a short walk back to the zoo from there.

Lincoln Park zoo is a nice gem hidden in Chicago's northern parts. The park itself was well maintained, and there was plenty to see. The area surrounding the park is serene, and you'll soon find that you're exploring more than just the zoo. I appreciate the interactive and educational bits, too. Admission is free and parking is abundant but a little steep.

First time my family and I go to zoo light in Lincoln Park the day we went it wasn't really cold my son had alot of fun running around looking for different kinds of light to see especially with his favorite Christmas songs lines weren't that long for entry or snacks all in all very pleasant and peaceful.💜

I had an incredible time riding my bicycle through Lincoln Park. It's been such a long time since I've had an opportunity to do something such as this. Lincoln Park has evolved into a beautiful setting and I truly appreciate what the city has done with preservation of the land as well as refurbishment of trees that were once meant to be chopped down. Chicago is a beautiful city! Lincoln Park epitomizes its beauty.

It was nice to see everyone enjoying being outside again. The park was full of life from a man riding around in a Mario Cart themed cart with the song booming from his speakers to the boys waiting to get their hand on the ball. My 9yr old had little kids crying when it was time to leave. It made me wish we lived in the neighborhood because they all feel in love with her fun spirit immediately. We had a fun evening!

All the parks in Chicago are one of the great assets of this, or any city. We are so fortunate to have access to such jewels as Lincoln Park, and all the little nooks, vistas, and spots, that lie waiting for people to explore and enjoy. Pastoral urban living, at its finest.

  • 5/5 Sal A. 3 years ago on Google
I live by the park so it's my weekday running route. Nothing much to say except that I'm very lucky to have access to this spectacular getaway from the city in the city. Depending on the time of day, the popular spots can be busy and crowded. Early morning is a great time to be out here or just before/after some rain. There are so many trails to explore and the Lakefront Trail goes on for about 13+ miles.

This zoo was a fun experience! Great array of animals to see and lots of indoor exhibits. We went on a Tuesday in August so there were a lot of summer camp groups, but it was not "crazy busy". Also best part of zoo is that you only pay for parking $25 for 2-3 hours which was plenty of time for us to go through the exhibits and see them.

A nice spot to chill in the grass or picnic. There is a fair amount of trails throughout the park that you can run or walk on. The sidewalks are a 6/10 on upkeep, but it is the city so what can you do? There is a small swimming area, but you won't catch me hopping in. There are feild to play sports in, but the good ones are often reserved. There's good mexican food in the surrounding area and there is often a vender selling street corn, hot chips, and fruit.

This is a great park located in Chicago. The park is very well kept and there are many places to picnic and just have lunch. The zoo is great also and if you ask they will tell you when they are feeding the different animals. Be sure to visit the conservatory and the boardwalk while you are here.

There is parking on the other side of lake shore drive and you would need to cross the bridge to get to the beach. There is also a zoo on the other side near the parking lot. There are two restaurants that I could see on the beach, a convenience store, a few other stores, and restrooms. There are life guards that are on the water in boats.

  • 5/5 Kimberly R. 1 year ago on Google

I really love this park. It is so beautiful anytime of day. I was really mesmerized by this fountain. According to some local historians it's been moved twice but it fits perfectly in with the landscape. There are also amazing bike paths all around this park so if you have time, rent a bike and just set out and see the city. One of the most underrated things to do in this city is ride a bike and you'll be perfectly safe if you do it near the park.

  • 5/5 Francisco F. 1 year ago on Google
It's a really nice place to enjoy with the family. Most of the staff is really friendly and it makes a pretty nice day at the park. We went in winter so there were really few people, although the landscape gets a little dull, but the indoor attractions, like the birds place, or the African journey were awesome, still. Adding to all of these, the fact that it's free, I would totally recommend visiting all year long.

  • 5/5 Ximena M. 1 year ago on Google
Went for the winter light festival, loved it. So much care and effort put to decorate all the trees, walkways and gardens, you really feel surrounded by tiny lights that give this cozy feeling. Made me want to go back during daytime to enjoy the zoo exhibits.

Lincoln Park is a near 1200 acre park situated between Lake Michigan at Ohio Street Beach and the Lincoln Park neighbourhood. It is located on the former grounds of a city cemetery which was converted into a city park between the 1860-80s. What you will find here is a nicely developed urban park with plenty of open grassy space, small gardens, tree lined walking paths, interesting monuments along with a couple of watersheds, conservatory, the Lincoln Park Zoo as well as the Peggy Notebaert and Chicago History Museums. It is a great city park, one that you can spend the better part of a day enjoying during visits to Chicago.
