This is a really nice big park to visit all year round. During summer they have a nice big pool you can swim in. It's a nice place to go for a walk. Jog or even go for a bike ride. It's beautiful during fall season, a really nice place to take pictures. There is some small hills to do some sledding during winter.

Neat little park for the city. My son likes to explore around the pond... Found some cool mammal bones. Also a chill place to sled in the winter.

Some nice gnarly looking trees in this park. Looks like there might be some trails by the river to explore next time. Great place for a little league game too!

Chicago has many parks that are vastly underrated. Gompers Park happens to be one of them. It offer great deal of variety from tennis court, baseball field, fishing pond, swimming pool, to field house with gym. It is surprisingly large and offers many good programs. It is also conveniently located with easy access to two bus lines and close proximity to the highway. Due to its size, the park never feels crowded. One of the hidden gems of a park on the north side.

Giant trees, 2 ponds and a river. Parking. Rolling hills of grass. Baseball diamond for little league play. Swimming pool and sprinkler across Foster. River goes for miles thru Labaugh Woods, under the Sauganash Trail, and past Cicero. Less than 5 mile walk up 1 side of the river at foster and pulaski, go to Cicero to cross and come back other side. Amazing nature. Always see deer, sometimes coyotes.

This is a great park with plenty of open space and is right next to the Northbranch trail. I've lived near this park for years, and never spent too much time here but I recently brought my son here after we got some snow only to realize this park is ideal for sledding. The minute you walk up to the park you have hills that are steep enough for for kids and even adults to enjoy. My son, my nephews and myself decided to grab our sleds on a whim and had a great time while we were here. If you are looking for a good spot to sled, definitely try this place out or shout out some strong recommendations.

They redid this place so well. Before it was so raw. They put in a nature preserve, biking and hiking trails without disturbing the ecosystem. And whoever did it did a damn good job. Almost feels like this place shouldn't be in the city. So gorgeous. Bang up job. Love it and care for it, north side. The city did a damn good job right here.

A gem of a park with wetlands and a charming pond surrounded by rustic looking bridges and stone paths with a trickling stream. The area is undergoing an ecological restoration. However the fish appear to be gone from the pond other than a single carp I saw. I tried two different types of bait and different areas of the pond and did not get a nibble. The habitat is not great for fish with the lack of hiding places. As others noted it seems like the Park District no longer stocks it with fish and it was probably overfished in the past.

Great park with lots of activities. The splash pad is great for hot days! Remember to bring a change of clothes for your kiddos.

I was supposed to ump a baseball game. The field was full of puddles. Nobody showed up. But they never bothered to let me know that the game was cancelled.

What’s with all the tents , I believe it’s 10 tents by the basketball courts , the homeless are taking over the beautiful park, garbage is everywhere by the tents , nonstop drinking. How can you bring your family here to enjoy the park ? You can’t! Where is it legal to put tents up in a park overnight . Doesn’t the park close at 11:00pm
