Very great park with a bad history. I really loved taking the kids here this summer as I have just moved in the area.. I really liked the fact that The police stayed in the area for out protection. I didn't like the guys who just "hung out" around there. Really frustrating to see a public park populated by thugs

It's a cool park. The field house is DESPERATELY in need of renovations, as it's close to 100 years old and it looks it inside. Plus, need better upkeep of the grounds but we know it's not done because "those people" populate the area and park.

Great, beautiful park. It's a reminder of the fact we have some really amazing spaces in the city. Only downside is it's hard to get to. Otherwise it's really nice.

Beautiful park with baseball fields and a handball court as well as an historic field house that's currently being used as an Arts Center! It's a highly activated arts center with much youth involvement! There's also a gorgeous theater with massive vintage light fixtures and a concave wall behind the stage that provides natural reverb and it's all well suited for projection. It's a jewel on the South Side!

I love this park. This is the park I grew up in as a child. We learned tap dancing, ballet, and folk dancing. It was a safe haven. Coming here annually to enjoy the jazz fest is great. The park and the bathrooms are clean and I love the foilage planted around the park.

It was great, until I got in my car and two cop's tried to block my car, and pulled me over, and asked me, what am I doing in the middle of the park. I said what? I was parked at the entrance. His question was wrong. I told him we were walking around the park. These cop's are trying to terrorise and bully us. That's not right at all. I'm 55yrs old. I don't come to the park tobe bullied.
