I love chilling by the river. Maybe enjoying a cold beer. This is also a great place to ride a bike. Lots of people fish here as well. There is a volleyball court near by and people are normally playing. There are ball fields and toys for kids. They even have a huge pool area near by for kids in the summer. I really like this stretch of river. It is near my house. You can sit in a wooded area and just have peace as well.

The west portion of Legion is the best park to take your dog to play. It doesn't get as busy as the other sides with bicyclists and runners. It's very peaceful there.

This is a small but very cool park on Chicago's far north side. Cutting through it is the North Shore Channel, which, further south, merges with the North Branch of the Chicago River.

Nice little park generally very quiet. Good for walking. Only hear traffic as you get to Peterson.

Great park for walking, running, cycling, kids play ground, and basketball. The walking path needs some improvement on the north side of Bryn Mawr. I tripped a couple of times running at night and way too much flies on this side of the park all the way to Lincoln side. The Chicago River needs cleaning. The metallic or sewer smell makes it harder to breath when running.

Great little park on a bike path that goes from Lawrence to Green Bay Rd in Evanston

Sometimes you see a tug in the channel, sometimes a pontoon, sometimes a kayak, sometimes a scull, sometimes just ducks and fog. Wonderful park. The west side is generally quieter and lower traffic, if harder to get to.

Beautiful landscaping. Something for everyone to do! Wild flower-lined trails for walking, running and cycling; kayaking in the river; playgrounds for kids; baseball diamonds; benches to sit and enjoy the sunset; plenty of lawns for picnics and naps in the shade with your pup.

Legion Park is a pretty nice park. Quietly hidden away next to the river, it's well maintained, with both an inner and outer paved track for running, biking or walking. I really didn't notice any of thr soundsnof thr streets nearby. A great place for a restorative walk and fresh air any time of day.

Unaware of the reason for the fountain not being operable since the pandemic but always a good running path.

Great place to get some safe fresh air this spring. Several different kid parks and basketball hoops and other areas so you are sure to be able to find some space for you and your party

This park is part of a long string of parks along the Chicago River Channel including River Park to the south and the trail along McCormick Blvd. Pool, tennis, basketball, softball along with lovely shaded areas with benches, and pleasant river views. Great park for bike riding as the well maintained trail links you from south of Bryn Mawr all the way up to Green Bay Road!
