Nice and clean. Also, plenty of space to walk your dog. There are several wooded trails. Don't be surprised to come across a deer.

There is a good playground, lots of green space, and they have a nature center right next to it with walking trails.

Peterson Park has several playgrounds for the children, for the children to participate in day camp, soccer, and baseball signs are posted on Peterson Ave side of the Park, Central Park and Ardmore which is the entrance to the grounds. For jogging and walking the pathway starts at the entrance of the field house on Ardmore Ave, Central Park Ave and Peterson Park Ave. The pathway is several miles completely around the whole park.

So hidden away ... yet a surprisingly boring park. There's probably only one cool part which is part of the trails that makes you feel like you're going through the woods for like 5 seconds. There's potential for so much more- for eg. picnic benches, splash pad, gazebo, etc.

A good park usually semi empty except late spring and summer. Ok walking path the only park with a good chance to see wild deer. Tennis courts children's playground, field house. Pretty cool overall oh one of the few parks with free parking. Next to the field house entrance is on pulaski bit of a secret.

My toddler loves to play on this playground. There are often a range of ages of kids playing. Lots of open fields for running around in, paths for walking/biking/running, and walking stick woods is a really fun place for kids to explore nature and build with sticks and whatever else is around

Nice hiking trail and playground. Not much foliage for the time of year but I bet in summer it's beautiful and lush. The trees are so thickly intertwined, you almost forget you are still inside the city. Lots of makeshift tree structures that kids have left behind. These can easily be rearranged for a little one's imagination. Well defined trail lined with tree trunks. Easy to get a little lost if you are not careful. No restroom access unfortunately. The parking lot situation is confusing. Couldn't figure out how to access. Google guides you to use the pedestrian entrance.

Playground is nice and shady, with plenty of places to sit! Can get a little buggy though. Equipment seems to be a little different from most of the other park district playgrounds, which is nice as well.

Nice park but am disappointed that the building is hardly ever open and closed after 2pm on Saturdays in the summer. Come on Park District

Jungle gym is overall quite obscure, with a lot of spots to sit! Can get somewhat buggy however. Hardware is by all accounts somewhat not the same as the greater part of the other park area jungle gyms, which is decent too.
