They have free plants and I got a few of them to fill in my bare spots in my flower bed. Tons of indoor plants and pots pots pots. This is my new favorite place to purchase flowers

The variety of what you can find here is really something - both indoor and outdoor. I really like that they have expertise in native and invasive species planting along with plants for pollinators. Feels very professional. Never had any issues with bugs or rot, so I'm never hesitant to purchase here. As a cheapster, I come here often to check on the clearance house plants cause they're fun to nurse back to full force if you have the time. They're usually still healthy besides looking a little thin! Aside from the actual review, a long time ago before they renovated there was a pig here, I only got to meet it once but I think of that pig all the time and hope it's happy wherever it is now. :)

The sales team, both indoors and outdoors, radiates kindness, warmth, and a remarkable depth of knowledge. Each visit feels like a reunion with dear friends; I've become a regular at their garden center for good reason. Questions receive clear, comprehensive answers, always delivered with an abundance of enthusiasm. When struggling with fussy houseplants at home, the indoor staff works together to troubleshoot, never once making me feel inadequate for seeking advice. The gentlemen outdoors have generously assisted me countless times, carrying heavy loads to my car without hesitation, even after surely working in the sun all day— always with a kind word and a smile. Conversations with associates on both sides of the yard, be it annuals or perennials, have been enlightening, filled with shared laughter while helping to re-envision my once-bare porch and patio areas. They've turned what felt daunting into a process filled with ease and enjoyment. Now, my yard is brimming with happy plants and busy pollinators. Not to mention, the selection of native plants stands as a testament to their dedication in educating and enriching our local ecosystem, particularly in the bustling urban landscape of Chicago. I also deeply value the sales section; whereas other stores might discard struggling plants, the team at CW gives them a second chance at life for a discounted price—a true delight for green thumbs who embrace the challenge of a project plant. As a frequent visitor, it's obvious to me that the team genuinely cares for their neighborhood, for each other and their exceptional plant collection.

They are EXTREMELY helpful. I have no idea about plants, gardening, etc. I just know what looks nice. Their employees walked me around and explained perennials, annuals, tools, supplies, etc. They asked me about how much sun shines where my garden will be, what time of the day, how much water, measurements of garden, how do I feel about maintenance, etc. I didn't have all of the information so I took some time, gathered the data and came back. I met with a different employee who was just as helpful as the previous employee. Therefore making this a seamless process. I recommend this place for everyone. I will definitely be back.

My favorite neighborhood plant store. Their pots are as vibrant and unique as their plant selection. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. My plant collection has multiplied since discovering this gem.

This space is beautiful to shop in. Not only is it large and spacious, it is artistically arranged. This is a unique place to come and shop for your plant needs no matter where you are located in the city. Their selection of plants not only ranges from your normal standard choices, but you are able to find plants that would be perfect gifts for someone who collects plants; and wants those unique hard to find items. This place is also peaceful and reminiscent of childhood themes. If you are an 80's baby ,I assure you, that you will find plants in here that your grandparents had and maybe even some pottery that takes you back as well. The cost is normal maybe a smidge higher than some plant spots, with sale items being a steal, some plants more costly than others and some are just amazing and totally worth the cost. It will serve you well to take your time and really look through the whole environment, because some of the plants I found were a great bargin. If you are looking for hard to find large pottery ,this is gonna be your spot. If you are looking for one of a kind plants, this is your spot. The staff was welcoming and answered all my questions. And no....im not being paid for this.....Webber is that awesome that I wanted to leave this message , cuz I know I have been sleeping on this place. Without a doubt, I will be back.

I get full sun on my balcony, and geraniums do the best in the dog days of summer. Usually buy the geraniums at my local Home Depot, but they looked spindly the day I stopped in. Plus, this HD was no longer repotting or delivering plants because of Covid. Time for a full service plant store. A friend knows the owner here and recommended it. This place is huge, so I walked up to the counter and asked for someone to help me. Marina (a gem) volunteered, and within ten minutes I'd dropped $200 on two new pots and two huge, magnificent red geraniums. They repotted them for the price of a bag of soil. For $25 more, the plants were delivered within a few hours and placed on my balcony. Christy Webber is my new favorite plant store!

Beautifully designed store with a wide selection of plants and accessories and friendly, knowledgeable staff - overall a very positive and empowering plant shopping experience! I’m a first-time plant buyer and shopper at Christy Webber, and was a bit wary as I’ve managed to kill all the plants I’ve been gifted over the years except one. I explained this to a staff person at the store when I arrived. Without judgment, they listened to my preferences and walked me through options for plants that require minimal light/watering, and how to pick the appropriate size pot. Then they lent me a tape measure and gave me the time and space I needed to browse. I fell in love with one plant. I also had a particular color and style of pot in mind. Not only did the staff person spend a good deal of time looking for the ideal fit pot with me. When we couldn’t find it, they recommended another store for me to visit, which I did and returned later with the pot. My selected plant was waiting for me by the counter. I received extensive guidance for how to care for my plant from multiple staff members. Although Christy Webber offers complimentary potting, I wanted to pot on my own, and received tips for how to do this correctly, along with a vote of confidence. (The staff at Christy Webber clearly love plants, people, and their jobs.) My partner and I are really happy with our new purchase, and “Gus” - a 2.5' seven-stemmed Dracaena Marginata - is adjusting to his new home. You may pay more at Christy Webber than you would at a Home Depot or CostCo, but it’s worth it for the quality of the products and shopping experience.

It's such a great space and a fun plant shop. You could lose your mind with the huge selection of planters! Pretty much anything you'd need for plants can be found here. Also, they do nice family friendly events. I was part of this weekend's Galentines day and they had a terrarium making table and I was selling my jewelry "MojoOwl". It was really fun and some kids got my crystals and put them into the planters.

I was just looking for a few plants for my apartment and they were very helpful. They asked about what kind of light the plants will get and how often I want to have to water them and they helped me pick out a couple really cute plants. I already killed one of them but the other two are still doing great!

I’ve come here for a Christmas tree every year for at least 5 years. The staff is always incredibly kind and helpful. Today in particular, the person helping us held up multiple trees next to each other to make sure we picked the one we liked best, which I found kind and thoughtful, then also expertly tied the tree to the top of our car. The staff inside was very friendly. Thanks to the CW team for making the experience lovely!

This is the most overpriced plant store I've been to in the history of plant shops. I thought it was going to be average priced, but definitely not. Houseplants were twice the price of what you see in other garden stores, considering small shops, not the big box stores.

If you love to be inspired, if plants fill you with joy, and if gardens are your happy place… like me, you will be completely obsessed with Christy Webber. I have found both exactly what I was looking for and also been surprised and fallen in love (here’s looking at you, Siberian Pea Shrub 😘). Just go, you won’t regret it. Word to the wise: you won’t find great deals. However, the love of money is the root of all evil so don’t worry your pretty little head and love some beautiful plants instead.

Great selection of seasonal outdoor plants! We go a few times a year to design new planters and refresh our landscape. Year round the indoor plants there too with a pretty large selection of pots/planters.

Love this place! I think I'm running in to "just grab a bag of soil" and I always end up with 5 new plants! They have such a huge selection, very unique plants as well. Fun assortment of pots and other household/gift items. Seriously, plan on wandering around for awhile.

Probably one of the best plant shops in Chicago. The store is well organized, clean, and categorized by plant species and pot color. Staff is friendly and super knowledgeable, they can easily make suggestions and answer any questions about plant care and potting. Their prices in my opinion are slightly above average, especially with certain plant species but not too pricey. However, they probably have the best pot selection in the city! They also supply you with care instructions about the species of plant you buy. I come here a few times a year and will continue to make a trek to their location just for the customer service!

Probably the best place to get plants in the city. I’d put their prices at only slightly higher than like a Home Depot, but their selection is unmatched. They have an excellent variety of native plants. We happened in on a day where they were having a crazy Earth Day sale, so we got a bunch of plants and nicer ceramic pots at a great price.
