Please do not go here. I think this doctor is on crack. I went to the ER and the nurses were nice but the doctor was dumb as hell. He didn’t tell me anything they just threw some medicine at me and told me I was ready to go. I could’ve googled my symptoms instead of WASTING 5 HOURS.🙄

Very poor service. Long wait time. My mother had insurance for Northwestern hospital. Doctor Walker would not transfer her. She was hail hostage in order for her to make money. My mother died under her care . The wrong cause of death was put on the death certificate Needs to be some community action. Doctor walker never even fully examined my mother even in the emergency room

Was there last night or shall I say early this morning. Incompetence at it's finest. The intake nurse was great, but after her it was downhill. Took my disabled brother in for vomiting blood. They did a blood work but it took forever and dismissed my complaint. I am his legal guardian and they kept him from me after I went to waiting room. They get one star for the intake person. Never again. I had a horrible experience.

They say Jackson Park is worst. You have no privacy no matter what forms you complete. I knew everyone's business and they knew mine in the ER. They put me on a floor for heart patients and I don't have heart problems. Then got mad because I wanted to know why I had a heart monitor on. Nurse didn't know I was even on the floor until lab tech told her I wouldn't let her draw my blood then she came in the room yelling and talking crazy. My mom ✔ that ass. The nurses come in and check off the times on the chart like they been there and never come back. I called the nurse and she would not come see what I wanted until my 74 year old roommate went in the hall to get them. Ask them a question they leave the room and never come back. Saw the doctor 1 time while I was there. She was off sick but she sent me a bill before I could get home good. Released me with no wound care instructions, pain medication or surgeon's information for follow up, told me to follow up wit my PCP. I can go on for days. Rooms dirty, dusty. I wish I could give negative stars..

I don't want to even give this place a 1 star, just absolutely horrible place to go for any health problems. I cant even stand to look at this place when I walk past them. The wait time is extremely long and rude non caring workers.

HORRIBLE hospital that should be shut down. They are extremely disrespectful and do not care about patients. Saviano and his nurse sergion need to be fired and never privileged with the responsibility of any beings care! If you care about your health go somewhere else!

They don’t deserve a star at all the fact that they had no patients and took forever shows they don’t know what to do. They not use to having patients they use to hanging in a group doing nothing. The triage nurse didn’t answer the emergency button. Whoever answers the phone in the morning for the emergency room have no business answering phones. You can just tell they hire people of the street for this deserted hospital. This aint nothing but a Jackson Park Hospital Jr. but they are worse than them .

South Shore Hospital gets a bum-rap because they are an under-funded hospital. They have great doctors. If they had access to the same money as Northwestern or University of Chicago, their rating would be much higher. Their care is as good as the care that I have received at Northwestern, on one occasion better. Their only real issue...is funding.

This hospital IS THE WORST!!!!!! Some of the staff are helpful and understanding but the one Oluseum Osinowo is VERY RUDE.

Today i went to south shore hospital , WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I sat for 2 hours in room 8 with no nurse , registrar, or doctor! No call light which is illegal , no bed rails up , no mask provided & rude people. This isnt my first experience with this hospital! To say the lightest if you looking to die go here

Could be better but it isn't. When I was younger i loved the care they provided, I guess times a changing. They almost kilt me and I believe they kilt my vein in my left hand, also Dr kicked me out because I wanted a second opinion.

My dad is currently here. He is disabled. I have left my number at the nurses stations 2 times. One time I'm pretty sure they didn't even give him the info. The second time the nurses were amazing and gave him my phone number. 3rd time I called the Indian man was rude. I'm just trying to get a hold of my dad. I even filed a missing person report trying to find him and had to involve police to figure out he was here. Very upsetting. I would like to talk with him and make sure he is okay and what the game plan after he gets out is. Very upsetting. I'm on his ROI. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the amaIng nurses earlier that I know gave him my number since he can't remember this stuff. Thank you to the nurses that actually tried to help.

Will never go there again. In great pain and sat there for five hours and all they gave was a moltrin. Worst service ever.

my mother came here for her COVID vaccine, very easy and fast to book the appointment. However, upon arrival the lady at the desk was very rude, and not helpful. The email she received asked for ID and insurance but while there they asked for social security card which I found odd since it didn’t state that in the email. The nurse that gave her the shot was great. Took about 30 minutes in total.

I was in pain I first went to Trinity on 93rd ER was packed they only had one Dr. I never thought I'd go to South Shore, but I must say I was treated from the beginning with so much dignity and respect, I personally want to thank Dr. Plamoottil, Issac Do Nab this Dr. Went over and beyond his job and I am forever grateful....My first time ever going to this hospital, just goes to show you can't believe everything you hear...I'm grateful

It’s an older hospital but staff was really friendly and nice. They did my X-rays so fast and efficient.

I spoke to angel today a social worker who said I need a V code to speak to my mother i have health care POA ok .... I didn't authorize a code just for any decent human or even a loving family member to be able to check up on the wellbeing of my mother...im pretty sure thats a hostage situation. Black ran facilities cant run a decent facilities without white people the incompetence is serious. Never did hear my mother voice all I wanted was 1 to 2 minutes

My experience in this hospital was horrible the staffing rude triage RN PJ tried to be nice but wasn't enough for my daughter to feel safe with the care. Very unprofessional and irresponsible administrative. Needs to be closed down.

I e been here since after 1 pm didn't get triaged until 140 pm with absolutely no one in either waiting area! It's 330 and I'm waiting on a bed at a hospital!! Make this B's make sense!! Only in black neighbotdo we get treated this way!! This hospital sucks big time!! Wish I could give negative 50 stars

I went there today for pain in my ankle everything went ok except for the long wait which is to be expected. Well at least until it came down to me getting the x ray performed on me by a very rude and uncaring tech. She was very rough and did not seem to care not one bit. Now I would have been in the wrong and had security called on me if I had given her a piece of my mine. Instead I am writing this review. If u are going to be as rude as her then you do not need to be in the field of health care. PERIOD!!!!

Diamond in the neighborhood for sure. Very professional and freindy staff and doctors. Food was hot and healthty with a home touch. Sourh Shore is doing things correctly, i purely felt cared for, thank you South Shore i needed your medical services and im feeling better.

Not even one star is deserved. From the ER till I was admitted, was the worst experience of my life, the aids and some nurses on the 3rd floor were so awful, never leave a loved one there !! Run!

Jewel in the area without a doubt. Exceptionally expert and freindy staff and specialists. Food was hot and healthty with a home touch. Sourh Shore is doing things accurately, I absolutely felt really focused on, thank you South Shore I required your clinical benefits and im feeling good.

Everyone on the 3rd floor Nurses was outstanding and did they job excellent. Especially CNA Salisbury,Nurse King,RN Pam. The admitting was Great too. Dr. Wu and his staff especially Johnnie was Awesome. Thanks for everything!

Its a great neighborhood hospital. They do go out and beyond there way to try to please and help you. They need the community support to stay open. If they close the community will suffer.

This hospital isn't worst than Jackson park but they're close. My mother is in clear pain (literally screaming)and the doctor is sitting there with his feet kicked up on the desk. They didn't even know who she was. They had her registered under some random social security number. They we're more concerned about getting her billed than her actual health. I'll call an Uber or Lyft for my mother to take her to a real hospital before she ever goes back there. Absolutely horrible. I guess this is where they stick the degenerate nurses and doctors.

If I could give this hospital 10 stars, I would. Everyone was so pleasant, from the security who not only told me where registration was he showed me. The staff here went above and beyond. I had a SDS ( Same Day Surgery),,the nurses there is so loving and caring, and everyone was so professional and compassionate. I had never experienced such great care. A nurse called me a week later to see how things were going. Never had that been done before. I appreciate the care I received here. And this hospital is small, but the hearts of their staff are HUGE! Thank each of you for going above and beyond.

WHY PAY A SITTER INSTEAD OF HAVING THE NURSES TO RESPOND AND TOILET THE PATIENTS? WHY KEEP THE PATIENTS ON CONSTANT BEDREST, NOT GETTING THEM UP AT THE BEDSIDE? WHY PUT SUGAR PACKS ON A DIABETIC FOOD TRAY? WHY NOT HAVE A STROKE PT. WITH HIGH B/P ON ROUTINE B/P MEDS ?

Waited 24 hours to see a doctor. Still no plan of treatment. Room hasn't been cleaned (sheets changed, bathroom cleaned) for two days. No communication They just have you sit staring at the wall.

Worse er wait time was not seen sat there for 6 hours as everyone went before me discrimination because of lgbt will never go back

The nurse named Michelle that works on the 3rd floor was very rude today when I attempted to see my mother and refused to give me her full name and a detailed description of the visitors policy. I will be contacting the nursing board to report her. How can you be rude working in healthcare and caring for someone’s family member.

Do not come with jewelry they steal … they stole my elderly gma earrings . The lady took them out and never put them in her purse .. slow broke nurses

the wait was long . i waited for 9 hours . but on the other hand , the nurse keisha was very attentive & professional . the nurses are awesome
