As we entered, we were greted and seated and given the menu. It wasn't even 2 minutes and were ask if we were ready to order. Keep in mind, it was only 645pm and no one else in the restaurant. Food came out real quick which i was really surprised it came out within 10 minutes. As we were eating the waitress kept staring at us and kept asking if we wab to order more which got a little annoying. Foods is better someplace else. We ordered the "super Masala dosa" and there wasn't anything super about it. The aloo was soggy and salty. The dosa crust was ok, beside it tasting sour. As we finished our meal she immediately brought us the bill and hovered as we were taking care of the bill. Another thing was the waitress kept clicking her pen and staring at us while we were dining. We rather go 6 7 miles more and go to schumburg and get better food and service.

Worst food ever ate in my life. DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY HERE. I don’t understand how some people are giving them 5 star and they charge you the money for the food that you didn’t even order.

I have doubt as this was ‘Sankalp’ frenchaaizi. Worst taste of Sambhar, chatni & dosa. Should not break the trust of customer, by serving such bad quality food. We wasted money and time. Recommend to do not visit. Even quantity was not also sufficient.

e2L! Wonderful, authentic Indian cuisine! Dosa was a new dish for me, but an excellent potpourri of flavors!

You guys are an insult to Indian cuisine! Do you even taste the food before serving it? Mutton Biryani was sweet rice and hard rubbery mutton. Noodles were some kinda first time college kid experiment. With so many negative reviews, why do you still keep repeating the same mistakes? Instead of fixing your food quality, you have been taking time to post more and more reviews to push that number up. Shut down this absolute garbage of a place.

Idli and dosa were very freshly made and tasted delicious. Wada was not up to the mark. Tea at the end of the meal was good too.

I was craving good Indian food during our stay in Chicago. We tried couple of upscale and popular joints in Devon Street and Downtown but was only disappointed. That's when we decided to try US Sankalp. This place serves food way better than many Indian restaurants in and around the Downtown/Devon street in Chicago! This place doesn't have an ambiance of an upscale restaurant but has simple and neat ambiance. On the first look , I wasn't really sure how the food would taste. But as it is said - "Don't judge the book by it's cover"; to my happy surprise, the food was amazingly delicious and all the ingredients were super fresh. The service was very quick and the staff is friendly. The food has authentic Indian taste. And the food is reasonably priced and every penny is totally worth it. If you are like me - a food lover who loves to eat any cuisine in its authentic style , this is a perfect place for Indian Authentic Taste.

They accepted some UE orders (restaurant side) to later claim they did not get them. Observed two more UE drivers walk in and leave empty-handed. Workers left a few minutes after. If you guys are not willing to work just don't accept the orders and waste everyones time....

Came here today after my work out at planet fitness. It was to my knowledge that they were closed and only doing catering. I stopped by today to see if they would serve me and the owner told me that are back and OPEN for dining. I ordered Idli to start. My meal was the chicken tiki masala (spicy) with garlic naan. I was impressed with the quality of the food. Chicken curry was perfect and the garlic nann was super fresh a good. I’m happy they are back and open to the public. I will be stopping by weekly after my workout to continue trying items on their updated menu. Very friendly ownership and staff.

Nice ambience. Large sitting arrangement. Delicious food and reasonable rates. They also follow the serving instruction like make it spicy they make it spice. Restaurant staff is courteous. We tried South Indian and it was nice. Sambar was served hot. Vada Pav is also spicy for spicy food lovers just for 2 bucks !!!

I can't judge the food because of the service I never got a chance. It looks like they don't care if you eat there or not. I also saw an Uber eats driver being treated very bad and laughed at.

the flavor was good but the portions are very small for how expensive it is, i paid about $16 for an order of butter chicken and only got 4 pieces of chicken in the whole thing. i ordered with uber eats and after i placed the order they increased the total by $10 for "price adjustment" on uber but i didnt have any special requests! there are better places to go that wont screw you over

This place probably was good at one point. I ordered takeout as there is no indoor dining right now. When I walked in, the smell was not good and it was a complete mess inside. There were things being stored all over the place where dining used to be. It smelled like moth balls rather than that fragrant aroma of Indian food. My vegan dish was $18 and when I got it home I decided based on my experience picking up, that I didn't feel confident eating the food. Made me sad. I hope this place turns around.

0 out of 10, This is not an original SANKALP. Worst food ever eat in my life. I know the original people of SANKALP. I will contact them and this restaurant get closed for using their name without getting authorization. There will be an original SANKALP restaurant IN Chicago real soon. DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY HERE. I don’t understand how some people are giving them 5 star!!!! These people must be eating grass at home or they must be friend or family members.

Best South Indian in the suburbs! The owners are so nice and the service is very fast. We’ve tried a few other places in the area, but will be sticking with Sankalp in the future. Best garlic naan we’ve ever had. Rice is included but is only enough for about one serving, when the entree is at least two meals worth. If you want leftovers definitely order more rice! Can’t wait to go back!
