My BF and I came here for brunch on Sunday. We are drawn to local spots that have extensive vegan options, as he is Vegan and I limit my meat and dairy intake. I wish we would have found Casa Yari sooner. I "vegan french toast" and "shrimp and sweet grits" were AMAZING. Full of flavor and beautiful presentation. We will be coming back in the future to try their dinner menu!

Great experience. It was date night for my wife and we enjoyed trying new restaurants so we decided to try this place out. The food presentation was excellent and the service was outstanding. The lighting could be turned down a little because the whole ceiling is covered with light. My pictures came out too bright but it's a place you must visit for date night.I can't wait to try out the outside patio

One of my top 5 favorite places to eat in Logan Square, maybe even the entire city of Chicago. I've yet to have a dish here I didn't like or thought was just "ok." Everything here is delicious, you can't go wrong with whatever you select and the Byob option makes it an even better dining experience. I would go here every other day if my budget allowed it. The staff is also extremely professional and hospitable and the outdoor patio is a nice touch as well.

Their vegan el Benedicto was delicious. Also love that it’s BYOB! Will definitely come back here to try all of their delicious sounding vegan options. My non vegan friends all enjoyed their meals as well.

Casa Yari definitely lived up to its hype. First of all, I love that this is poc owned. The interior is gorgeous!! And the backyard patio is perfect for outdoor seating. As for the food, it’s flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Everything, and I mean everything, can be made vegan which is amazing for vegetarians, vegans, and of course people who eat halal. I can’t wait to come back here and try other foods I’ve yet to try. I also had the cucumber pineapple lemonade (ok maybe I forgot the exact name) but it was so perfect for a hot day.

Absolutely perfect food. My family shared all of our dishes and every single one was overflowing with exceptional flavors. The Pollo Con Tajadas (Pollo Chuco) blended savory and sweetness with acidity in an flavor experience unlike anything else. Come here and enjoy my friends, I promise you won't be disappointed.

We came here for dinner to celebrate my friend’s 1 year in Chicago. The restaurant wasn’t too crowded but we were seated at the same table with another couple, which we didn’t mind because that’s how it is back home where I’m from. The staff was very friendly and didn’t rush us even though we spent a lot of time chatting before ordering. I love the ambiance of the restaurant, it is casual & romantic. We got Mr. H mocktail - the smoked rosemary smelled really nice with the pear flavour. We all loved how the drink tasted as is but since it’s BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle [of alcohol]), my friend brought her favourite Hendrick’s Gin to add to it. For entrees, we got the Machuga Mofongo, Shrimp Paella, and Fried Red Snapper to share among the 4 of us. Everything tasted so good and we loved the mofongo (fried plaintain). We were all so full in the end but we had to try the flan. I love the presentation of the food at Casa Yari. The flowers and microgreens on the food as well as those in the vases. Not only was my nose & tummy satisfied, my eyes were so pleased by the beautiful visuals. I brought the pansy on the flan home and put it in a frame with my other dried flowers / petals. My friends and I enjoyed our experience here that we think this is one of our favourite restaurants in Chicago and we cannot wait to return.

My friend and I are here while I was visiting Chicago. It’s a BYOB restaurant-which we didn’t know until we arrived. So we walked across the street to a liquor store and bought some wine. It paired well with our food which was soooo good! I had the empanadas and shrimp mofongo. The flavors took me back to my trip to Puerto Rico when I visited Old San Juan. You should definitely give this place a try for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine.

This is some of the best 'Rican food I've had in Chicago. Plus, they have TONS of vegan options--you can veganize most menu items. And the vegan options are not some sad after thought. Everything is flavorful and very well put together. Their chimichurri sauce is everything! And their vegan bacalaitos with banana blossom hit the spot for those vegans out there who miss bacalaitos. My omnivorous partner enjoyed them too. Also, they have the cutest patio which is the perfect place for a late summer dinner. Do yourself a huge favor and grab a bite at this local-owned, fresh take on Puerto Rican classics. You'll be glad you did!

I was so excited to come to Casa Yari.. the pictures and menus look amazing.. okay the atmosphere looks down.. very hot and dryer could be better. the food presentation is awesome but the food is bad isn't a original Puertorican food or even close you're not gonna stop burping for the new 12 hours and bad digestion I wish the business well but have a long way to go. definitely not recommended

We had the Bomb'licious, vegan paella, coconut flan, and a cucumber pineapple lemonade. Literally everything was amazing. Staff is great. Can't recommend it enough.

Excellent. Ordered the mafungo which was a very small portion but very good. And the shrimp and grits was good but you only got 3 shrimp. The Potatoes and green peppers were excellent. I I told our waitress that we're new here and asked if there were any sauces that we could sample with our food and she brought out 2 and charged us a 1.50 for each of them. Grrrr. If I had a restaurant and I had someone new I would certainly let them sample whatever sauces they wanted. Oh well. Still 4 stars.

My first experience here wasn’t a pleasant one, not going to lie. There was a server that was being rude to the point where my friends all noticed, and it left such a bad taste in my mouth. Despite of how good the food was, I’ve been hesitant to come back here because of this particular server. After some time has passed, I decided to come back here today to try some things off their brunch menu, and I’m so glad I did. Our server was super kind and attentive, and the food (as usual) was exceptionally delicious. I also love the extensive mocktail list and immaculate interior decor in here.

I got the vegan dobladas and they were incredible. It’s so hard to find really good high protein vegan food in Chicago. Most of it is beyond burgers (barf) or it has no flavor and it poorly cooked/dry. I did just move here from Portland ,Oregon and it’s a vegan heaven there. But Casa Yari truly met my expectations on how to cook vegan food and make it taste amazing. I’m so excited to have found this spot!

I went to Casa Yari for the first time after hearing great things from friends for their vegan food. I’m not vegan so I ordered a combo of vegan and non vegan. We had: the cauliflower vegan wings, the vegan (eggplant) Machuca , Churrasco dinner, and Pestelon, and parcha flan. We shared everything. This was honestly one of the best meals of my life and I am sad I’ve lived so close for so long without tasting their wonderful food. I have been missing out. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. All of their in house sauces are out if this world. The staff was friendly. It’s clean and cute inside. I am so excited to go back!

Best Vegan Food in Chicago! So many non vegan items too for the ones who are not vegan. I dine here often. Friendly staff and great sexy atmosphere! Delicious!

Soooo so good! We had to try each other's dishes because they're bursting with flavor. The service was a little slow but it was worth the wait. Plus it's BYOB. You have to check it out!

Loved it! Reminded my person of back in the days back home in Brooklyn N.y that Boricua, Dominican food my mom always cooked. Except it was vegan, and still tasted Authentic. So delicious, from the mofongo to the Cuban sandwich, and that arroz con gandules. ❤️🇵🇷 A beautiful elegant place.

The food was delicious and glad they had vegan options plus vegan flan, but disappointed with one of the dishes: Ordered the surf & turf vegan seitan & oyster mushrooms for $36 but instead, received bella mushrooms with the seitan. For that price, I should have gotten my oyster mushrooms in the dish.

I just went here this past Saturday with a friend, it’s only been four days and I’m itching to come back again. I cut meat out of my diet almost a year ago and I’ve been struggling to find restaurants with enough vegetarian options on their menu, so that was enough to get me in the door. I got the dobladas with soy curls and it was AMAZING. My mouth is watering thinking about that meal! The texture of the soy curls was so similar to chicken and seasoned so beautifully I was in heaven. The hot sauce just took the 10/10 meal to 15/10. Absolutely recommend- I’m already making plans to visit again!

Phenomenal meal - every dish was absolutely delicious. My personal favorites were the pastelon and pika pika (so creamy!), although the vegan paella was also quite good. Portions were fairly large - next time, I'll probably just order 1 dish per person. Our server was very attentive, and it was easy to enforce social distancing on the lovely backyard patio space. Somebody get this place on the Bib Gourmand list! 5/5 for all aspects of the meal, I'll definitely return.

Their recommendation was amazing! Had an idea I wanted to taste the vegan pastelon. But went for the tropical guava sundae. The server was very patient and helpful with all my questions. Had the coconut mojito which was good. Plan to return soon! Was told 99% of the food can be prepared vegan.

Easy to say I’m adding Casa Yari to my Favorite Restaurants list! All of the food was amazing, both vegan and non-vegan dishes. Loved their presentation, they had good music going and the service was great! A nice laid back spot with bold and flavorful food. Can’t wait to go back again and try their brunch.

This place is amazing. It’s a family run business and the mom and daughter are literally in the kitchen and serving so give them a bit of grace. The food is flavorful and well seasoned and the portions are huge for the price. The vegan options are amazing, and you can also bring your non-vegan friends and they’ll love it too. It’s definitely one of my favorite spots in the city, I highly recommend it. But they get reallllly busy so try to get there early on weekends.

I'm rating on the takeout this round. The food was incredible. We will be sampling more from the menu soon. Oh, yeah! They have monthly cake items from Pie Pie My Darling. Seriously... get your order submitted for a big case of Happy-Belly! ♥️
