    Absolutely love this gym! The class structure is engaging and challenging, but not intimidating. Very welcoming environment for all, whether you're just jumping into a work out routine, or you're a regular gym-goer. The staff is AWESOME - friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help you succeed. Shout out to Ari for always going above and beyond to help members and answer questions. Highly recommend this gym, and the Halsted location specifically!

    I really enjoy Crosstown fitness, the classes are great, be sure to try out different coaches as you can learn something from each one. They recently had a live DJ during class, that was awesome. Recommended.

    This is the best gym! My husband and I have been going consistently since January and we notice a big change in our physical strength. In addition to having some of the best instructors, clean and new equipment, and a competitive but fun environment, crosstown also manages to build a community. Melissa Johnson’s morning class this morning was a chipper and we left feeling so strong! 10/10 recommend.

    I've been going to this gym for almost a year, and I can't even begin to describe my gratitude and joy. This has been a great journey for me. Every class is unique from the others, which makes the learning experience interesting and challenging. It encourages you to give it your all. You have the chance to improve by each class. They really take the time to teach you proper form, and the coaches are quite amazing. No prior level of fitness to attend their classes. Any fitness level is OK. If you're wanting to join a gym, I wholeheartedly recommend this location.

    I spent a few days in Chicago at the end of December and was looking for a daily pass or something similar, so that I could continue my workouts while aboard. Their 2 weeks unlimited classes proved to be an excellent choice. I did several classes with different instructors and in 3 different locations. All the classes were very good, some of them exceptional. The gyms were in excellent condition (the photo is from the one in Roscoe Village). I would definitely visit them again when traveling to Chicago.

    I LOVE Crosstown! I've been a member since 2019, and it's the best decision I've made. The staff and coaches are amazing - truly! And the programming for each class is great. Every class I've been to in the past three years has been different and that keeps things fun and challenging! The members are great too - I've made lots of friends here! I can't say enough good things! :)

    I liked this gym so much that I signed up for an eight month unlimited membership less than two weeks into a Groupon. Instructors are incredibly friendly and willing to work with you on proper form so that you don't hurt yourself. Workouts are TOUGH, even if you're in good shape. There's two types -- Total Body, which features some cardio, and Total Body Strength, which does not. Both will challenge you and you will never ever leave a class feeling like you didn't get your money's worth. The gym is clean and well lit. The front desk staff makes an effort to get to know members' names which is such a minor thing that goes such a long way because it makes you feel like they value you. I would highly recommend CrossTown to anyone who is looking to get in shape in a welcoming and inclusive environment at a clean gym with instructors who know what they are doing.

    The gym is amazing. The floor is cushioned like no gym floor Ive ever felt which makes all the difference for my knees and back. All the trainers/coaches are SO friendly and make class fun and different every time

    Through my sister, I came across CTF as an invitation. I was hesitant at the beginning but after seeing how my physical and mental health improved with a couple classes, I was sold! I recommend this place 1000%! The classes are fun, challenging, the instructors are super helpful and mindful of you. The other athletes are kind and genuine. It is worth every penny, as an investment to your physical and mental health.

    Been going here for 8 months and I love it. The classes are fun and challenging. The coaches are all great. They're all very personable, and they keep a nice rotation of new workouts that keep me engaged. Would definitely recommend.

    CTF is a great gym with awesome trainers who all bring their individual style and create fun, effective workouts. Beyond classes and personal training with highly experienced coaches CTF offers events like the CTF Games, races, a run club, outdoor workouts at Gallagher Way during the summer and try out new events, like for example a Half Marathon rowing event recently, which was a great success and I hope they'll do another one again soon. I would recommend a specific trainer but they are all unique and great in what they do: Hannah brings that extra positivity to start the week out right, Amy focuses on form and creates workouts that will make you come back for more, Chandler makes strength classes fun, Lindsey offers a lot of variety in her classes, then Caullen comes in with amazing high-intensity workout concepts, Mike who will make sure that you get ALL the reps done of a ladder or pyramid or other shape workout format, and I could go on and on. Good luck fitting a rest day in! Not to forget the great staff with Jordan and Steven to name two who take great care of the members! CTF is definitely a happy place!

    The coaches and programming are amazing, especially Mike and Chandler. I love that each coach designs their own class. I love that the classes are full body focused every day. The facilities and equipment are great. Steven is always so helpful and dedicated. Lots of class times available to fit my schedule. One of the best gyms I've ever been to.

    I have been coming to CTF Northside for almost 8 months now and have loved every class. It is by far the most consistent I have ever been able to be with working out, and that is due to how friendly and helpful the staff and coaches are, and also because there is a wide variety of movements and workouts every day. Never a dull moment, and I highly recommend. I'm 33 and have never felt more in shape and healthy.

    I have been a member of CTF for nearly 3 years. With this gym, you get community, a well-kept facility, and the best trainers! The workouts are always varied and challenging! I highly recommend checking one of their locations out!

    CTF has become my happy place! Moved to Chicago a little over a year ago and tried out every fitness class the city has to offer. When it came time to decide where I was going to get a membership, CTF was a no-brainer. Great class energy, excellent programming, responsive/caring staff, and an incredible community to be a part of. Every workout being different allows me to not overthink it before showing up and they also offer “open gym” classes where you can use the space for your own workout if you choose— so no need to have a gym membership on top of classes! I’ve taken classes while injured and even sometimes hungover… 😅 and you can always take the class at your pace. After all, it’s YOUR 60 mins you’re paying for! THANKS FOR BEING MY ROCK, CTF! Y’all are the best!

    Overall would recommend CrossTown, especially the total body strength classes. A few months ago I made my rounds and tried most all the class gyms in Northalsted/Lakeview, especially ones with some type of strength element. I chose CTF because each class has variety, is well-planned, and challenging. The other customers are friendly and excited to be there, even at 6 am (which is NOT the case at other gyms)! The coaches are so welcoming, enthusiastic, and come right over in case we have questions or form issues. All are great but my favorites are Kristen and Robert. It can get a bit expensive but they have a good spread of offerings. As someone who travels for work I liked the flexibility of the 10-pack and unlimited 2 week passes.

    Walked into this gym without ever belonging to a gym in my life. The mentality here is to get your workouts done. This was the perfect atmosphere to start and continue a work out routine.

    I've been coming to CTF for ~ 9/10 months and loved every minute of it. I have gym-timidation and don't always have the best workouts when trying to craft my own in the gym, and CTF has helped me build so much more confidence! I love the classes. They're challenging but the supportive community and trainers don't make you feel less than if you're not lifting as heavy or if you need to take a break. Plus the fun events they plan like beach workout and SUP, can't beat it!

    My favorite gym in Chicago! All of the trainers are excellent and push you to get the best workout in. Easy to pick-up for a beginner who hasn’t worked out in awhile too. They spend their time making sure you understand the workout and are doing it correctly. A++!!

    I've truly enjoyed the level of professionalism demonstrated here as it relates to fitness and training. A CLEAN, encouraging environment, where you will push yourself in ways you didn't know you could, the best way! I look forward to many more workouts here. Not to mention, the variety and "not knowing" the exact workout, keeps you engaged, on your toes, and helps time pass quickly!

    Caullen is a great instructor and took time to help me out and correct posture. I appreciate that attention at those fast paced classes where things can often be missed. I burned almost 500 calories in under 1 hour, it was great!!

    The trainer Jovana is an absolute delight! I was very nervous to work out at this intensity and intimidated about a new experience at a new fitness facility and she made me feel so comfortable! She saw me attempting modifications to some exercises and came over and showed me a way to challenge myself just a BIT more with better form. I've had similar great experiences with all members of the staff! Everyone involved here is very passionate about what they do, and that energetic enthusiastic atmosphere is palpable!

    I have been a member at CTF for 2yrs! The trainers are amazing and put great programming together for each workout class! I enjoy that they have strength and total body classes! Also, enjoy working out with my friends! The front desk manager at Northside (Steven) is helpful, friendly, and dedicated to his job!

    Caullen will push you to grow and test your physical limits! Not only is he friendly and motivating, but he is also mindful of his students safety and will help you so that you’re using proper form to get the most out of class.
