This place is amazing. From day one I felt very welcomed and part of the community. Sono is the antithesis of what you might expect from a fitness studio: the coaches are approachable, the workouts are accessible and the other members are fun & friendly. I couldn’t speak more positively about my experience with Coach Z and his team.

Amazing gym! I've been to a few different crossfit gyms and sono exceeds my expectations. Excellent coaching and such a great community. The owner really cares about his members and all the coaches really pay close attention to you during classes . Highly recommend if you are looking to get in shape with fun workouts!

CrossFit may not be for everyone, but I've really jumped on board and CrossFit Sono is a great place to do it. I'll sum up my experience up with three things: - Intense Workouts: The programming is great and will push you to awesome results. - Great Coaching: Zoran and the other coaches do a great job of keeping the workouts challenging, but still able to have some fun. - Great Community: There really is a great group of people there and it really is one of my favorite parts of not only this gym, but of CrossFit. I'd 100% recommend CrossFit Sono whether you're just starting out and not sure about it or if you've been doing it for years.

I cannot recommend this gym enough for anyone looking to change their life. The coaching and support here is second to none. I started with no knowledge of cross fit but the great coaching has motivated me to keep learning.

I've been coming to Sono Fitness for 1.5 years, and it is truly the best gym! I started working out consistently 2 years ago and have tried several different fitness studios and gyms - including yoga sculpt classes at Core Power and a few training gyms, one of which also trained many NBA and NFL players. None have compared to Sono Fitness. Unlike other gyms I've tried, the coaches at Sono ensure you learn proper form to prevent injury AND also motivate you to push yourself to do things you've never been able to do! I've had several moments at Sono where I didn't think I could do something, but was motivated by coach Z to try and surprised myself! The great thing about the group workouts is that each movement can be catered to the individual, whether you're a beginner or veteran. There is always a "prescribed" option and an alternative, scaled option for every movement. The workouts are also complemented with an app that allows you track your performance and see how others at the gym performed as well. It's a great way to monitor your progress over time! The community at Sono is also great with a great group of athletes. I'm inspired every day by so many others! Whether you're a beginner looking for a gym that will help you learn the basics and help you grow at your own pace, or a veteran looking for a gym that will help take your fitness to a whole new level, Sono Fitness is the perfect gym!

I dropped into Sono this past weekend and had a great experience. Chris is an awesome instructor and the workout was challenging but fun! Definitely recommend giving it a shot if you are interested in joining a great community of people and want to be pushed to get more out of your time at the gym.

Best workout in Chicago! Such a strong sense of community and a great way to make good friends. No other way to start my day!

This place is fantastic! Although the floor space is not huge, they have a variety of equipment including dozens of barbells, racks, bumper plates, kettlebells, bands, rowers, boxes, etc. all in great condition. There are two bathrooms and a water dispenser. I dropped in for a few days from out of town, and all the members and coaches were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The workouts are brutal, but the coaches emphasize good technique and safety. Overall I had a great experience here and I highly recommend anyone in the area to check it out.

This gym is incredible, plain and simple. The coaches are knowledgeable and truly committed to helping you improve as an athlete. The environment is welcoming and the members are encouraging. If you are looking for fun small group fitness classes that will continue to push your performance levels, this is the place for you. It also doesn't hurt that the head coach, Z, got jokes (sometimes).

This place is the best. The programming is challenging (yet approachable for beginners), the coaches are engaged and knowledgeable, and the community to second to none. Prior to joining SoNo, I was strictly a solo exerciser who stuck to long sessions on the cardio machines. Z and his gym have totally changed that. I’m in the best shape of my life and actually look forward to working out for the first time. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I can’t say enough good things about Sono. When I started here 5 years ago, I had never picked up a weight in my life. I thought I would feel completely out of place during my first class. Instead, I was welcomed and pushed to do things I never thought I could do. The coaches are great- motivating and always making sure you are doing things correctly and with the appropriate weight. Highly recommend- especially for someone new to weight training.

I've been going to SoNo for almost two years, making it the longest I've committed to anything in years (ha!) and the longest I've committed to fitness ever. On the days I go to class, my hour in the gym is literally the only hour of my day that I am not worried, anxious, or preoccupied. The space is small, but has everything you need to get a great workout in. Class size is limited to 14 people, which means you get a lot of one-on-one attention and feedback from coaches to help improve your technique. Coaches are knowledgable and helpful, and the overall community is inclusive, friendly, and down-to-earth. Even if you're the last one to finish, everyone stays to cheer you on. They also offer nutrition and massage services. There are also small things I really appreciate, like extra hair ties in the bathroom and phone charges. Lastly, the value really cannot be beat. The different packages are very competitively priced. I did the foundations classes at a different gym over a year before finding SoNo. New members at that gym had to do private sessions that ran $75/session(!), their monthly packages were twice the price of SoNo's, and their community was a bunch of Navy Seal wannabes.

🫤 I've been a member of Planet Fitness for a while, and while the gym itself is nice and the staff are generally friendly and helpful, the chronic issue of the gym not opening on time has become a major frustration. On a recent Sunday morning, I arrived at 7:45 am, expecting the gym to be open as adv...

🫤 You get what you pay for. There’s no AC, pretty dirty everywhere, machines are constantly broken, treadmills are from 1992. They took away all dumbbells. It’s bizarre that a gym doesn’t have dumbbells available. No hair dryer in the locker room. Most of the members are ignorant, they don’t wipe mach...
