University Club of Chicago is one of those amazing old athletic clubs that offers athletic facilities and places to stay in addition to places to dine. If you are lucky enough to be in Chicago on the two weeks a year of good weather, the terrace dining view and experience is exceptional. Food, service and environment are all exceptional. If you have a chance, it’s worth the visit.

Old world charm, Hogwards look with crests from all Ivy league schools, beautiful library, TV room and overall one feels being time traveled to the past (except the launch with the over dimensional TVs). Incredible background for events. Excellent food and service.

If you can get an invite you will have to go. Be prepared it is setup to be dressed for success. Keep the jeans to a few areas noted and check in, but observe the dress code. Great yesteryear charm and I'll post a few pictures but explore to get the full effect of all the amenities. Room was spacious and the heat worked great. Everyone on staff was great and helpful. Travel the designated back ways for athletic usage and pool. Restaurants had great food and enjoyed it all. Only a few things not to my taste. Provide better tea than the trendy Keurig and maybe revert back to the better quality. Heated floor in bathroom must have been defunct and couldn't get to change temp. Overall I loved it and hope I can get an invite to bring my family at least once to enjoy. Great place for our conference and many convenient things are located nearby. Don't pass it up if you can go.

Great hotel experience. Private club and hotel guest only. There is a strict dress code so make sure you check out the website.

Amazing service, comfortable igloo. Great view similar to Cindy’s. The food and drinks were delicious. Everything we ordered was yummy. The seared tuna salad was to-die-for.

I had been a guest of the UCC numerous times before becoming a member about 8 years ago. The Club in one word is amazing. It takes up 12 floors in a historic building in the heart of Chicago (across the street from the Art Institute and Millenium Park. Although situated in such a great location, there is still plenty to do without ever leaving the Club. There are numerous restaurants and bars located right in the facility as well as a historic library, grand ballroom for larger events and comprehensive athletic center. The Club is also know for being the top squash facility in Chicago and one of the premier swish clubs in the country. And just as impressive are the 50 plus hotel rooms that are very well appointed and comfortable. Although the Club has some older members, the generally casual dress code and cool new facilities like the Living Room and Parliament, attract many members between 25 and 45. Finally, the Club dues are quite reasonable for the benefits you receive.

The newly renovated University Club of Chicago is the best and most diverse social club in Chicago. This is after visiting other clubs of similar capacity. The venues are beautiful, the service personable, and the members are welcoming. So very glad I joined.

Visited this club as a member of the Yale Club in New York City which is a reciprocal club to the University Club of Chicago. The historic building is fascinating and stunning, the interior preserves its historic character but combines it with modern exclusive ambience in an exceptional way. Staff‘s hospitality and competence is outstanding. First class amenities, restaurants and bars, perfect location and stunning views of Chicagos skyline. Impossible to call out one favorite part of the Club as this Club exceeds expectations in literally all aspects.

This is my home away from home. I truly think this club is second to none. Having been a member of other clubs, the programming here and the overall membership are just outstanding. I am so proud of the commitment to education we have for our staff and their families.

We had our wedding here in late October and cannot say enough good things about working with the University Club! Darcey was our coordinator and was a dream to work with: she was prompt with email responses, helpful as we planned from across the country, and made the entire process significantly less stressful than it otherwise could have been! It was an absolutely stunning space to hold a wedding and the food was the best we have ever had at a wedding! Their entire wedding events team, from planning to catering to day of execution, flawlessly coordinated the event. We appreciated the care with which they attended to every detail big or small. It was an incredible experience and we cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone considering this for their wedding venue!

I grabbed dinner here with a friend. They have an indoor/outdoor dining room that overlooks Michigan Ave, beautiful view. The food was great. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the presentation of each dish. Not only that, the food is delicious. I had the lobster pasta (the dish has a fancier name). My wife had the whitefish, which was in a creamy white sauce. Both dishes were good, but I especially enjoyed my few bites of my wife’s dish. For dessert I had the apple strudel.

I have been a member here for almost 2 years. I have met the most wonderful people since joining. The members are very active and all the events are very well attended. There is not a night during the week that you go to the club and it’s quiet. I go to the living room and the Presidents bar by myself, and I always end up meeting someone new or bumping into people I already know. The membership is very diverse, which is one of my favorite things about it. The building is beautiful and the views from the restaurants and other rooms are spectacular. There is valet parking, but also easy garage parking nearby. I enjoy using the business center for work.

One of the classic chicago clubs that offers the luxurious feel of yesteryear. They have several event rooms to accommodate all types of events in their various spaces, have hotel rooms, and I dependent work stations. My firm has had several events here and it is always fun to see the decor. Last time, there was a stuffed lion and bear.

Great meeting place to have your important meetings, for service, for dining, etc. The staff is very helpful (above and beyond), including the parking valet and the dining service. I've had several meetings there.

As a Chicago wedding planning team, we have had the pleasure of working along the UCC team a few times & it’s always perfection! The beautiful event spaces, outstanding cuisine & awesome location, makes for the perfect spot to host a dinner, ceremony & dancing!

Great location. We came as guests and had a wonderful experience. Price was fair and accommodations excellent. Clean rooms that are updated while retaining charm of yester-year. Super friendly staff makes you feel that you are a member.

What an amazing establishment of history .. real good ambiance in each floor .. food was excellent in parliament, their semi formal restaurant .. you need membership or associated with one that reciprocates with this club ..

Very interesting place. Felt like I was in an old bones and skull movie. It's very fraternal in it's design. Gave me the cult vibe. The views of the city are amazing. The library was very interesting and full of books. Would have liked a tour or history of the place. I tried to Google information but there wasn't much.
