We came for a coffee, 1st time trying this shop and here what I found: The place has simple but nice decoration, spacious, quiet, wifi is available, good location. Yet, when we came there was a long line as only one guy is serving in the hole place, he is the cashier and the barista, although he was doing a great job, I mean really a great job as no one complained or waited for too long, he has an excellent multi tasking and time management experience, but still it doesn’t seem right in such a place, maybe it’s not always like that but am just relaying what I experienced. At 1:30 pm there were limited choices of air exposed pastries, black coffee is served from a large thermos, there are liquid jugs which I think it’s flavored syrups, coffee menu on the wall is not really visible for someone standing in cashier queue so it took me a while to understand the colored hand writing on the black board, maybe it’s just me :-) and didn’t see any food menu and didn’t ask. Standard seating nothing fancy, cleanliness could be improved, coffee is 7/10. 12oz cafe latte + 12oz Nutella mocha + tax = 11.71$

Out of a dozen or so coffee shops I have worked out of in the loop this is my favorite. It has all the drinks and the food you would expect, and they’re good, also wifi, but I love this place because it’s a real living, breathing neighborhood coffee shop. The music is great (usually hip hop). The staff is helpful and friendly. The decor feels personal. Even the other patrons add to the personality. It feels like you’re at a friends house.

This coffee shop serves the finest coffee, and the desserts are to die for! I adore those spices, and the food was delicious. It doesn't matter whether you have breakfast, lunch, or dinner; you will enjoy it! The portions are generous, and the establishment is still in its early stages. The place has a cool vibe, with college students working in study groups and tourists dropping in for a bite.

Excellent coffee! We got the lattes and iced coffee; both were scrumptious. Also had a bruschetta bagel for breakfast which had super fresh tomatoes. Would highly recommend!

Excellent coffee and chai lattes. Their pastry selection is limited but the chocolate donut I got was delicious.

Apart from the body and face language of the barista, this place is great. It looked like the barista guy wasn't so pleased making me coffee.

Amazing place with short waiting time and varieties of pastries, tea and coffee. Wide spaced out sitting arrangement with some styled next to windows for city view. Free wifi? Yes! see screenshot below.

Nice place to grab a coffee and have a meeting. The interior is spacious and ope so it's not too loud. The latte was good and I tried their quiche which was decent.

Easily my favorite Coffee joint in the Loop. One of the only shops that actually uses a scale for espresso! The results are delicious

Cold brew seemed rather acidic team to me and even foamy when it came out of the tap. The location is good but the chairs are like old school chairs and not that comfortable for long term sitting. I plan to try another location in the city to see if the experience is any better.

Costs a lot for a messed up order and so-so food. Some staff really worked hard (5-stars) others didn’t care if you got what you ordered or even if the drink order had the same name as what you ordered (1-star). I wouldn’t go again.

What a beautiful coffee shop! I come here frequently to write, and the staff is kind and the coffee is delicious. Furthermore, they alter what they sell according to the seasons, which is a nice touch, as are the WiFi plug connections at each table. This coffee shop also appears to be a pleasant location to work, so I want to visit there soon!

I walked past this business on my walk to work and decided to stop in for a donut. I am not coffee drinker so I can't speak for that. My selected donut has clearly fresh ingredients and nice presentation! If I had been going to sit in, I liked that there were little tables available. Only suggestion is to have a slightly bigger portion for $2.99 price point

Omg!!!! My first time trying this morning, just because I wanted something sweet for later. I am so glad that I decided to stop! I ordered 2 donuts: birthday cake and blueberry cake (I think). The blueberry just melts in your mouth... I'm sure the birthday cake is like a party in your mouth...🥳

I walk here pretty regularly and it’s a delightful coffee shop. The seating and small book selection is so nice and they make great coffee! I love the Mexican and Nutella speciality coffees. They also have a PrintWithMe printer which is super convenient and has saved me on many occasions as a WFH person. When the weather is nice, the patio is shady and perfect for a slow start to the morning.

I was excited to try out this cute lil’ café at first glance. Sadly I left feeling cheated out my money. Walking in I ordered my drinks in the kiosk: a large hot matcha with regular milk, a small iced matcha with cold milk, and a iced tea. Luckily the wait wasn’t too long and the barista was nice. The tables were dirty and the couch had crumbs. When we got our drinks the order was wrong. The barista gave us the iced matcha with oat milk in a large cup and made the hot one iced and in a small cup. I wouldn’t really mind if the barista was in a rush but mind you…THE PLACE WAS EMPTY. Low-key wouldn’t go again.

Best coffee in the south loop, hands down. I've visited the place several times now and have always had a great experience. Try the sea salt mocha with the delicious vegan donut, you won't regret it.

Great coffee and the best cozy atmosphere as always! I love this place and I grab coffee here after gym or after I drop off my daughter at school and it is always good.

To all coffee lovers out there, you might try Dollop Coffee. They have so many kinds of coffee flavors like Espresso, Cappuccino and Americano. They are also offering tea like Jasmine Tea. It can be served hot or cold. You can have a breakfast here too with some Bagels and Cream Cheese. They are very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and organized. They are also offering some deliciously and freshly baked breads and pie like Chocolate Croissant, Chicken Pot Pie. I will definitely recommend this to my friends and relatives, especially those who have kids. Thank you very much for your excellent service.

This place is amazing, they offered the best attitude to all of their costumers and great service. I really like the atmosphere and their fresh roasted coffee is a must for coffee lovers. They offer a variety of vegan desserts and sandwiches. This specific location will be my go to coffee any time I'm in downtown Chicago.

The plain doughnut was ok, the coffee not so much. Seemed like they were having trouble with the orders... disorganized for sure.

An absolutely wonderful cappuchino, and it’s legitimately this good every single time I go. The 14th time I’ve made it to Dollop and this place is the best - now I bring a big group of friends - and they’ve loved every aspect of the place. An hour-and-a-half and you can read, study, work, chat - doesn’t really matter. It’s a perfect place to bring friends, spend some thoughtful time alone, or just want a great cup of coffee and a light sandwich.

Nice folks work there, but the brew ratio makes coffee you can see straight through (tastes like 1:20?) and they are participating in the creepy and discriminatory “cash free” movement. I guess this company just takes customers for granted or distrusts their baristas or both—but either way, yikes!

Tepid best describes this premium coffee house want to be...Coffee Served in a small cup.A few sips and you are ready to leave.$2.00 a cup and another $1.00 for a refill.Mr Wonderful is right find the Arches whose coffee is hotter and as good for $1.00.Free refill. Baristas have a sour puss attitude. Not a good way to start the day. This is a chain started in the burbs. Many better choices here in magnificent Chicago. AWARDED 1YUM ON A SCALE OF 3

A little busy for me. Love the design and location. Items are market average for big downtown city. Nothing sparked my interest in particular. They do offer Japanese style cold brew drip! Winter time, looking for some standard milk alternative special drinks without adding surcharges on. :) otherwise- well done! Nice looking baked goods. Coffee shop premiums added to cost.

After attempting to order a lavender latte (they were out of the syrup), then a cardamom latte (also out of that syrup), I settled on the Salted Caramel latte. It was bland and honestly tasted like something out of a QuickTrip coffee machine. I also ordered a Rosemary Honey pastry, which was delicious! Despite the lackluster coffee, the service was good and the two female baristas that I interacted with were very friendly and welcoming! They do not accept cash, which I've noticed more and more businesses doing and I don't like it one bit. It's discriminatory. What if I'm a person that for one reason or another is unable to obtain a credit or debit card but I have cash and want a hot cup of coffee? You won't accept my business because of my socioeconomic status, despite me actually having money to pay for your product and service? I urge businesses to stop with the "No Cash" thing. WE ARE NOT ROBOTS, stop trying to digitize every single thing. And again, empathize with those that may not have plastic to pay for things, but have the cash. I would not return to this cafe based on my experience.
