Edited: Everything I’ve had so far in their menu is delicious! Highly recommend the vegetarian specials as they are perfect to share as well as the lamb kebab! Great lentil soup! I was pleasantly surprised that it came with some pita bread. Very much a no-frills type place with really quality food. It’s cash only and clearly a staple in the neighborhood.

Absolutely amazing Hole in the Wall! Me and my boyfriend was strolling around on Clark trying to find a new place to tryout. We found Taste of Lebanon 💎, people were literally in line out the door almost. We had no choice to get in line and see what the buzz was about. One of the best decisions we’ve made in a while! We ordered the Falafel and Lentil Soup for our appetizer. The Lentil Soup was hands down THE BEST we’ve had in Chicago. Everything was balanced and it was superb! The Falafel was delicious even though it was bit overcooked, it also comes with fresh salad. For our entree we ordered only one Chicken Shawarma wrap, after taking one bite from the wrap we realized we made a HUGE MISTAKE by not ordering two wraps! The Chicken Shawarma wrap was so yummy and fresh. For dessert we ordered Baklava which was sweet, nutty, crunchy, flaky and most of all HEAVENLY DELICIOUS! Overall everything was delicious but the lentil soup was the ⭐️ of the show! The restaurant is small and it’s not a place for a romantic date! But for a quick bite for affordable/cheap price this is the place! Oh BTW our food only came up to 17$ 🤯

Everything here is halal. People are super friendly. One drawback is that they only accept cash no credit cards. However, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. I got the spicy lamb wrap, grape leaves and tabouli salad. Everything was very tasty and fresh. I also got their bakhalava but not a fan of it.

This is my absolutely favorite place to get lunch!. The food is always super tasty, quick and most importantly good quality! And feels healthy compared to most take out. it’s insanely affordable and everyone who works here are so kind and will always greet you when you walk in the door. Some of my favorite items are - lentil soup (get it with hot sauce!) - falafel and hummus wrap - stuffed grape leaves - both vegetarian combos

I just saw this in the net and wanted to try it due to its good reviews, and taste of Lebanon did not fail me. Very friendly staff, quick serving, affordable and the food is the BOMB. Ordered hummus and beef kabob.

I'm Lebanese and Assyrian, and I know good Middle Eastern food when I try it, and this joint was a pleasant surprise. Overall very tasty food. I got the vegetarian combo special #2. Food Info 5 tender/juicy grape leaves (aka Dolma), 3 crispy but not too oily falafel, and very lemony/acidic and slightly salty but enjoyable tabouleh salad, shredded lettuce and tomato with small pickles and not too spicy pepper. 1 large pita bread was warm and very soft. one small cup side of tahini sauce for falafel, and spicy harissa sauce. $$$Money Info$$$ Cash only joint, but super affordable prices. I spent exactly $8 for the vegetarian combo special #2. Service Info I'm just painting with Alexa cashier clerk at the front was very kind and quick! I received my food in less than 5 minutes after ordering. Ambience Info There are about 5-8 small tables in the restaurant where you can eat at. It is a pretty clean restaurant overall, no restroom in there, but they do have a sink to wash your hands at the front. Ideally this place is great for a quick bite, or for takeout.

Very decent grub for great value. Thanks guys for great lunch! Keep it up. I’m definitely coming back to do this again. Everything tasted delicious and lots of Mediterranean staples that taste great, every time. Trust me I know!!! Little bit of interior improvement and it’s a 5 star spot;)

my favorite falafel in the city. crispy, light, fragrant….. creamiest baba ghanouj you’ll find drizzled with nutty olive oil…. baklava layered with care & always fresh. I am a forever customer. ♥️ notes- -cash only (no atm on site so be prepared) -affordable (you can have a large meal for under $20) -family-owned

This place is incredible and a neighborhood staple. One of my favorite restaurants ever. Food is SO tasty and at a great value. I get the chicken shawarma wrap and hummus multiple times a week. Breath of fresh air compared to so many other fast casual restaurants. Owner seems like a great guy too.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said- I’ve been getting takeout here a couple times a month for 10 years now and it’s the primary reason I’ll never leave this neighborhood. The veggie specials are iconic. Stop by whenever you have a chance: TOL is always the right answer. And tip well!!!

Cash only place with really good food. Ordered a lentil soup, and it helped me a lot while I was feeling a little sick. Food was great, and prices were pretty affordable. Gonna go back to try more of the food!

I love Taste of Lebanon! Incredible food at great prices. The chicken shawarma is one of the best I have ever had, as was the lentil soup. We have been here many times, and the quality is consistently excellent. The staff is warm and friendly, and there is always a steady crown coming and going. You may need to wait a bit for a table, depending on what time you get there. Small, but extremely clean. I hope to eventually try everything they have, but can't bear to not get my favorites. It's a long drive to come here, but so worth it. Two can stuff themselves with great food for $12 total or less!

Everything about this place is great. It is a no-frills Lebanese street food stop for lunch or early supper. I had lamb kabob wrap and a side order of felafel. It was the perfect lunch for a hungry grown male like myself (and I have a large appetite). This big tasty lunch was $9. The guy at the counter was very nice and he comes out to give you your order. There are other similar deals in the city, but there are not better or tastier deals. I would definitely like to try the other items on the menu. Will be back

Love this place!! Just ate here for the first time yesterday and will definitely be back. The falafel wrap is AMAZING!! And the hummus too! Really affordable pricing for such good quality food. And the workers were all super friendly!

I believe it was one of the owners who brought me and my close friends our food when we stopped by on Saturday 10/29 around lunch time. He was incredibly kind to us and made our first time here really nice and welcoming. He didn't know it was our first time, but his generosity, kindness, and the excellence of the food here will make this an ESSENTIAL stop when we are in the area. Do yourself a favor and grab a side of fries, they're honestly great here. Goes nicely with the flavorful chicken Shawarma. If you're into pickles, theirs are great and come in a generously portioned little box of them! Also, don't forget to get a side of garlic sauce, it goes with EVERYTHING and is delicious here. Don't take my word for it, go to this great little place right near the cool oddities shop nearby. Seek out the little tree on their sign and you'll know where killer Lebanese food exists!

Always super friendly. Food tastes good and you absolutely can’t beat those prices! They are cash only location to be prepared! I’m a regular there. Their lentil soup is great. All the wraps taste great and you should definitely try their dolmas! 5 we’ll deserved stars! Assalamu Aleykum!

New favorite go to. Incredible value and quality alike that exceeded every word of praise I had heard going into my first visit. Veggie special combo #1 - $7 and you get hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel, pita and veggies, unreal value. With life seemingly always getting more and more expensive, places like this begin to mean even more. Only caveat, swing by an ATM on the way, cash only.

I would say this establishment has one of the best Tabouli Salads in town. With that in mind, I default to ordering the Veggie Combo #2 each time as it comes with fresh hummus, grape leaves, garden salad, falafels, tabouli, and pita bread to make your own wrap or to slide into the hummus and chew. Each time I'm inside the establishment, I admire how clean and organized the customer dining area is (love the hand washing station accessible to the public inside the dining area) and of course the cleanliness and flow of food inside the kitchen up until it's served to the customer. When I wake up, there's not a lot that's on my mind other than brushing my teeth, coffee, and of course that gorgeous Tabouli Salad.
