Lovely
new
spot
in
Chicago;
consists
of
a
large
upper
floor
with
a
central
bar
and
lots
of
comfy
seating
groups
and
an
evening
DJ.
There
is
also
a
smaller
speakeasy
on
the
main
floor
that
benefits
from
making
reservations
as
it's
a
more
intimate
affair
with
several
couches
and
large
armchairs.
The
Darling
books
some
of
the
best
local
Chicago
talent
with
performers
like
Brooklyn
Britches
and
Eva
la
Feva
and
I
was
generally
impressed
by
the
performance
space
which
surprised
me
from
where
it
came
from.
I
don't
want
to
spoil
it
but
I
recommend
sitting
at
or
near
the
bar
for
the
best
view
for
a
show.
Great
drink
options
that
are
priced
about
normal
for
a
venue
of
its
caliber
($14
for
cocktails)
creative
but
not
overwrought
in
terms
of
flavor.
I
greatly
enjoyed
the
Botanical
Bees
Knees
and
the
Mary
Poppins.
I
hope
to
try
out
the
large
format
drinks
eventually.
Loved
the
complimentary
vegetable
chips
and
prosecco
mini
shot,
both
were
delicious
touches.
And
the
pork
belly
was
impeccable.
Slightly
disappointed
in
the
coconut
Creme
Brule
which
was
a
bit
muddled
in
flavor
but
great
consistency.
The
service
here
was
another
area
of
excellence
with
great
phone
and
in
person
service
from
Dylan
in
particular.
Very
friendly
staff
and
loved
the
outfits.
Only
minor
technical
nitpicks
for
the
venue
itself
would
be
a
more
robust
sound
system
for
singing
performances
but
definitely
not
a
concern
for
the
average
guest.
