This museum is a real gem. Although it is not technically open yet for the general public, we called ahead and they permit visitors by appointment. We are so glad we called and were able to tour this amazing showcase. While still supposedly under construction it is close to being finished with four floors of stunningly beautiful stained glass, art glass, clocks, artwork and more. Allow yourself at least two hours to wander through what seems like endless beautifully displayed objects of art that are curated with great care and attention to detail. The clock collection alone is simply amazing and unlike anything you've ever seen. This unassuming little museum is a gem and well worth the visit if you are anywhere close to Evanston. Thanks to Mr. Halim and his staff for collecting and sharing this wonderful treasure trove.

Had an incredible time performing at Halim's Flamenco Spring event. The space is truly magical and transports you to a colorful world of stained glass and historical time pieces. You must visit!

Free 2-hour parking on the street. Museum offers guided tours (check website for schedule) or you can tour the museum on your own. Staff was welcoming and answered my questions. Worth a visit! I also want to give a shout out to museum staff member Don- he provided me with information about local museums and local landmarks/attractions to visit.

Living in downtown Evanston, we had always walked by the museum and wondered what it looked like inside. We saw photos of events held there, and thought it looked beautiful. It was on our list of wedding venues to tourโ€”we arrived, and immediately fell in love. The staff was extremely professional and worked efficiently throughout the process. They answered every single question, and accommodated us when annotating the contract, helping us schedule and track payments, preparing the timeline for the day of, and helped us figure out a LOT of last minute changes. They offered a time for a walk through and assistance with setup the day before, which made the day of the wedding so much less stressful. They take care of EVERYTHING; set up, tear down, linens, place settings, table numbers, water, wine, changing courses, bridal suite, the bar, you name it! We just had to walk in and enjoy. The food was restaurant-quality โ€“ no banquet halls here! Many people emphatically said that was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The menu tasting was a wonderful experience guided by the Chief of Staff, and included a personal visit from the chef near the end. There are many great food and wine options, it was hard to limit ourselves to just a few! The staff was very helpful in accommodating our guests with dietary restrictions and allergies; if one of the food choices would not work, they created a special alternative dish for them at no extra charge. They were so organized, they even remembered to not drizzle honey on one of our guestโ€™s dessert. I checked with every single one of our guests who needed an accommodation, and every single one was fulfilled. We even had a guest who was arriving late; his food was kept warm and brought out immediately when he arrived. As the bride and groom, we got to sit at the head table with our personal Head Waiter, Justin, who was awesome. He made sure our water and wine glasses were always full, and would personally deliver them to us throughout the night whether we were chatting at a table or in the middle of the dance floor. He said he was there if we needed anything, and he always jumped in to help with a smile. Our guests repeatedly told us how beautiful, elegant, and classy the venue was. The Tiffany Room and first floor galleries were the perfect setup for cocktail hour, and everyone loved the gorgeous glasswork (and open bar). The Wisteria room, bathed in candlelight, with a view of the Chicago Skyline, was perfect for dinner and dancing. The staff was professional and helpful, and the entire event ran smoothly. We specifically wanted a venue that would โ€œdo it allโ€ so we didnโ€™t have to, and Halim Time and Glass Museum absolutely delivered. We treasure the experience we had on our special day and thank Jessica and all of the staff for making it the perfect experience.

We held out wedding reception at the Halim Time & Glass Museum this month (May 8th, 2021). It is a gorgeous venue. More importantly, the staff are a blessing and they slightly adjusted pricing for Covid regulations. Throughout our planning, staff changed a few times and it was difficult. They made the transitions as easy as possible, and once Carolyn came aboard, everything was easy! She communicated with our coordinator for the entire month beforehand, and with us throughout our planning process. On the day of, it was basically like having another coordinator. Overall, our day was pretty seamless with the staff moving guests from one section to another. The elevators had some issues, but they made it work (and I am sure they'll be working on this issue). They made sure everyone was where they should be at any given time, and helped make our day into the beautiful experience it was.

The building is superb, a pyramid to himself, well built, mausoleum like in a part of Evanston that was not particularly attrative. No doubt that he got a good deal on the place he teared up. The clocks are the real deal, they are what they are, old and antique. The glass work is monstrous though, gross to my taste, relgious in nature and Middle Eastern, plain, not Chagall fare and touch. Not artistic. Who is going to use the space for parties? Not Michigan Shores Club members in Wilmette and other social clubs in the vincinity and Winnetka. His beef with the Margarita next door is groundless but fits his narrative. Residents housed at he Margarita., provided, fed, stay inside in large part unless they get kicked out, something the City should look into. The Cty should enforce an agreement pertaining to what is going on inside as nobody knows. If residents are 80% loonies, addicted and bed ridden shipped from hospitals (read paying residents) they should be regulated like Albany Care and nursing homes. A Neighbors agreement pertaining to what is going on outside is largely useless, read next. The homeless population living in the street in Evanston, on Sherman and else is headquartered at Hilda, all coming from Chicago -right. Unless you build a wall you cant prevent them from coming to Evanston. Halim narrative and righteous neighbors about the Margarita is misguided. The part of Evanston Halim picked to build his "museum" was never the best, he got the land for a song and he has only himself to blame to built it there.

Only open for tours of 10 or more people. Reservations required. It was very well laid out with videos of many of the clocks in operation. Stained glass concentrated on American made. Lots of religious stained glass from churches that had to sell them. One room dedicated to Tiffany glass art.

From the minute that we did our initial walkthrough of the Halim Time & Glass museum, my now husband and I were taken aback by the exquisite beauty and meticulous design of the entire venue. We knew that the museum was truly a one-of-a-kind gem of a wedding venue just for it's aesthetics, but we were blown away by how perfect the wedding day experience was, thanks to the Halim staff. The entirety of the staff- from the bar tenders to the valet staff to the chef- were incredibly kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. A review of the Halim Time & Glass Events team would not be complete without mentioning the impeccable work of the events directors, Jessica and Aaron. In the planning process, they answered every question and ensured that our vision would be executed flawlessly. On the day, they were prepared, extremely helpful, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our day was a magical experience for my husband and me. Even more importantly, we were so appreciative of the events team for expertly executing a welcoming and special guest experience. Our guests were taken aback by how interesting and beautiful the museum was, and how welcoming the ballroom was for a wedding. Guests called the venue magical! I cannot say enough how positive our experience was in working with the museum for our wedding, and would HIGHLY recommend booking them for your wedding and any special event. Thank you, to the entire Halim Staff, for exceeding our every expectation and for making our wedding day the most seamless, fun, and happy day that we could have ever imagined.

We chose Halim for an event we held in December of 2022. It is an absolutely beautiful venue. Their staff is kind, considerate, and extremely responsive. They were also exceptionally accommodating in helping us personalize the event to our needs. They handled everything from the floor plan and the event signage to the on-site A/V equipment and the valet parking with quality and professionalism. They are one of the most helpful and responsive vendors we've worked with - you will be in good hands with this venue!

We had our wedding here and it is safe to say that it was a rousing success! The events staff are fantastic to work with, the venue is stunning and the food was wonderful. I highly recommend considering this venue for your wedding or any other event!

The staff at Halim are among the kindest and most accommodating professionals that we've ever worked with. Throughout the process, they put us first as customers. They communicated all of the pertinent information, and were efficient in our interactions. They went above and beyond in helping our guests with special needs. You won't find a better pair to coordinate your event with than Aaron and Jessica. They're just good people, in addition to being good at their jobs. They wanted this to be our special day, and delivered on all aspects, customer-service wise. The food is surprisingly excellent! I say this because our experiences at weddings typically have yielded sub-par meals. Even a 5/10 meal is pretty rare at a wedding. Make SURE you select the spanakopita as an appetizer. They'll move. The roof is very special. It's the perfect spot if you have a 100-130 person wedding. Do NOT miss out when considering venues.

Hello, HTM is a beautiful venue site, however; they are not accepting of all backgrounds/races/religions. I am a future bride, and this was my first pick vendor site. After my initial in-person visit I received a paper copy of what the expected costs might be. Shortly after our visit, I followed up with Jessica (the current events manager) to ask her for a contract. To which she responded the amount previously stated was off by a lot, and they would be operating at a financial deficient. This is something I don't understand because we were meeting the minimum $15,000 requested for the hall itself. I continued to work with them and any new pricing they suggested for over a month, without any clear updates. The only emails I would receive is where they can't issue me new prices/contracts because everyone is tied up/busy on their end (seems odd). I called Jessica directly over the phone to ask why there's so much delay. Her response was dismissive and unprofessional. Her response: "Why are you still waiting this long". "Things should be clear by now". and then proceeded to hang up on me. I understand this is an Jewish Museum, and I am a Muslim-south Asian bride. This was the worst experience I've ever had. Please take a note of this. Respectfully, Khushi A.

The stained glass exhibits, by the Tiffany glass company and other masters, was phenomenal! Very good descriptions of how the windows were made and of the scenes depicted. No photos allowed in the galleries, so I only have one from in the lobby. The clocks are on the second floor, and are from a wide variety of places and times. Overall, a little pricey, but well worth it if you like stained glass windows and horology.

The Halim Time & Glass Museum is a fabulous place to hold a wedding! We just had our wedding there and could not be happier! Jennifer made everything so easy; she is such a warm, friendly, professional who really knows how to plan every detail of a wedding! Ted, the food and beverage manager was wonderful and on top of everything. My husband and I could not imagine having our wedding anywhere else. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and went off flawlessly! Jennifer and Ted helped us make it all happen. The Halim Museum is also the perfect venue if you want to host the ceremony and reception in one place. We love this place and look forward to hosting an anniversary party here in the future!

This is a must go! Staff is so knowledgeable.l and friendly. Mr. Halim has a wonderful collection that he should be very proud of. It is spectacular! Literally kept say โ€œoh Wowโ€ every time I turned the corner. So much to see along with so much history!

The museum is one man's amazing collection of stain glass (much is Tiffany or people he trained) and clocks. My only disappointment was that most were not running, although some had movies of them working.

The ideal place to take the whole family on a hot day. The older folks will enjoy the compact but dense number of thoughtful exhibits, as well as easy-to-access cafe (lots of options) and plenty of restrooms & elevators. The free imax style movies arent too long and make a great place for a light nap. Little Kids love the rainforest butterfly 3-story exhibit, stingray and shark exhibit, and the aquarium.
