It was a great experience to view the art work by Alex Ross and view his creations of the Marvel comic heroes. It's a small venue but really well done. Our grandkids enjoyed paintings and displays as well.

An enjoyable art museum in the suburbs. They had a lot of nice pieces to look at and everyone there was polite and helpful

This was a great exhibit. It was perfect timing for my Art Appreciation Class@ NLU Chicago Campus. The guest services staff was awesome. I always wanted to go because it's close to where I live and work. I'm glad I didn't have to go downtown with the hustle and bustle of traffic and parking. I will make sure to see some more of their exhibits.

This was a surprise. I been living close to Elmhurst for a long time and I knew about this museum but to be honest never thought about visiting. We went during the polarity exhibition and it was awesome. It was an interactive one and we had a lot of fun taking photos. The only downside is that I think is a small museum and also it probably needs more advertising so we can know the programs it have.

It’s a very nice museum space with plenty of light and glass. I visited Picasso exhibit and honestly expected a lot more for a $18 dollar entrance fee. Very few Picasso pictures or objects on loan unfortunately. I think if the price was lower, it would have been more reasonable considering the number of rooms and objects. Interested to see what other exhibits they have in the future, hopefully something a little better curated.

I really enjoyed my visit at the Muesuem. Found some of the exhibits very interesting. The box with the sky had me baffled . Most interesting piece. The part about the lay out of the home was interesting too. Very nice Muesuem. Highly recommend

Visited there for the 50 years of Picasso. Nice and cute art museum, perfect place for a small art event. But the entry ($18) is a bit pricy for the amount of art pieces at the exhibition.

Necessarily small place, but it manages to book some interesting exhibits. Another small gallery of local works. The permanent highlight is a Mies van der Rohe model house, with all glass walls. A rare chance to see a "house of the future" close to how the designer intended. Photos are from "Par Excellence," a tribute to the first "Art Golf" exhibit created at the School of the Art Institute 30 years ago.

Love this museum! My father and I have been members for a few years now! We love coming to see the main art exhibits, the exhibits in the McCormick House, and most of all my personal favorite would be the Artist's Guild which is always changing every month with regionally-known artists with there own unique styles which are more contemporary. The lady who works at the front desk typically is also very nice and friendly when we come in each and every time as well! Definitely worth it! Awesome place!

Current exhibition is Marvelocity by Alex Ross. Not a huge exhibit but well curated, nice mix of work and mediums.

I didn't have any expectations going in as it was through a photo meet. I have mixed feelings about the museum and its purpose. But overall it wasn't a bad place to visit. They had a couple of of items that were interesting to photograph. You can see in my photos - the colorful maze of plates hanging was an interesting abstract piece. Then the room with colors changing with the reflection on the glass was pretty cool. Not sure about a room filled with paper napkin Doodles - it did make us all chuckle and laugh but not something I expected in a museum and not an entire roomfull of them...

A really fun local art museum. Easy parking. Quality displays. And it was a make and take day! So fun!! When we bought our tickets we were fully informed about the current artists and themes! All staff were helpful and knowledgeable! I love that they support local artists and have some of their art for sale! After the art museum we grabbed a bite to eat in downtown Elmhurst. Fun date day trip!!

This small museum has the most incredible and surprising exhibits. From modern icons like Picasso to local legends Hebru Brantley and Sentrock, they are truly thoughtful when curating unique exhibits that showcase Chicago’s art scene. The exhibits are typically a full concept with a unique perspective and story, such as the latest Picasso that showcased the progression of his rarely seen linocut work, or Sentrock which displayed interactive installations, and animated work that tied into the large scale paintings. I always look forward to seeing what original shows they lineup next. Plus, they often have limited edition prints, sculptures, and other merch that is exclusive to the museum. If you’re a fan of current and modern art, it’s definitely worth a trip even if you’re in the city.

Nice museum, very small. We only spent about an hour there. Easy to get to, one level, no stairs, clean. Admission price seems a little steep, given the size of the place. I would go again for special exhibits.

Enjoyed playing the 9 holes of Par Excellence miniature golf. The McCormick House would benefit from being demarcated as to where the original floor plan was.

This is a really great small Chicagoland museum. I have visited several times to see specific exhibitions. Some of them, like the ones featuring the Chicago Imagists and the Hairy Who, have been spectacular, as good as what you'd see at the Art Institute. It is not very large place, you can see everything in an hour, but if you see an exhibit that interests you, I highly recommend you visit.

This is a hidden gem in Elmhurst, IL . They have a very nice exhibit That will be there until 2/12/17. With a new one beginning. 2/26/17. The first Friday of the month admission is free. The regular admission is reasonable. We just returned to the museum 4/7/17 for their New exhibit about Pinball games. If you can get there it is so worth it as you can actually play some of the games.

Nice local museum. They host events regularly, like a mini golf course where each hole is created by an artist! The staff is very friendly and the grounds surrounding the museum make a nice park to hang around. The art is interesting and exhibitions rotate every so often as well. Would recommend for a quick visit if you have the time!

The MOD is a pretty happy place. Wish there were more rooms. Also would love if there was a bench in some of the rooms (but maybe it gets too crowded-?) I went on a weekday late afternoon and there weren't many people there. Our 7 yr old also had a good time. The girl at the front desk was welcoming and upbeat.

What art museum??? This is not an art museum!! There is gallery space trying to sell the stuff that the members did. Then there is a scientific display of how science influences art and industry. Not the correct venue for this display unless you rename the museum. Yes, there was a show of maybe 10 pictures in the house space. Not an art museum by any stretch of the imagination!!!!

Cannot say enough good things about Elmhurst Art Museum. I live in the Chicago and this was my #1 choice for a special event that included family and friends. Jenn is an incredible event coordinator who goes above and beyond to cater to what is needed. The space is beautiful and has a great flow for parties. Kid & adult friendly “back-nine” mini golf was a huge hit. Also highly recommend Maria with Bonheur White Glove Serving Staff. Very professional and accommodating.

👍👍 Interesting and informative museum in an old mansion. Nice bicycle exhibit with the next going to be about Chicago area retail stores (coming soon). Do a side trip to Hamburger Heaven while you're in elmhurst..it's a blast from the past as well!! Upper floor dedicated to the history of Elmhurst itse...
