The 2nd floor children's activities area is a wonderful complement to the overall historic firehouse retrospective. Well done!

Great programs for kids! Horrible scary stairs to get to the upper floor, though. Wish they would do check in on the lower level for those who have difficulty walking.

Explore Skokie's Heritage by visiting the Historic Engine House and the original 1847 Log Cabin. These two sites have much to offer including permanent and temporary exhibits, special interest classes, and educational school programs.

Local history museum detailing history of Skokie fire department. Many artifacts in pristine condition to see. Original firehouse with fireman's pole, horse-drawn fire trucks, Interesting. Also behind this is a log cabin We saw this building from the street and we're intrigued so we investigated . Nice side trip on way back from farmers market
