Free entry on Veteran's Day. Several tanks for kids to climb on, large parade field, and a very cool military museum. They did a great job hosting Veteran's Day there!

This is a beautiful museum, that honor the 1st infantry division. There are various exhibits, sample of personal items, that the soldiers actually wore. Models of battles and of course tanks, which are also around the entire museum. Throughout the museum, there are also awards to Medal of Honor, recipients biographies of there incredible soldiers. This museum is very moving, beautiful. I deeply respect the services of those, who serve now and have served to protect our PEACE of life. Definitely worth a visit.

Currently, they have an ongoing art exhibit on the grounds. The statues are spread out in different spots of the facility. They also added a Koi pond, and a place where you can sit down, and listen to relaxing music. The mansion is under renovation. But the mansion gardens are open to visitors.

This is a fantastic museum that honors the 1st Infantry Division. There are interactive exhibits, displays of personal items actually carried by soldiers, mockups of key battles, and, of course, tanks. Tanks are everywhere, and they are not roped off or anything. There are Congressional Medal of Honor recipients honored throughout the museum, too. Take your time to read the bios of these incredible soldiers and try to imagine the courage it took to perform the way they did. I am a veteran myself (25th ID), and I found this museum to be very moving. I feel like they truly and deeply respect the service of those who serve and who have served. All in all, a fitting tribute that honors the traditions held sacred by soldiers. There would be more pictures, but I would rather urge you to go see for yourself. It is worth a visit.

I was very impressed and moved by the exhibits. Seeing the WWII videos and walking in a represtation of bunkers and town was amazing to experience. I saw equipment and vehicles and medals used and awarded in past generation. If you are a history buff, military fan, this is a place you should visit. After the exhibit we walked the beautiful grounds. The flowers were in bloom. Many sights to see, fountains, gardens, and winding paths. A great way to stretch your legs and be in nature.

I cannot speak highly enough of the value of this museum. It is extremely inexpensive for the amount you receive. We got there at 1:00 and only walked through half by 2:30 and it closed at 3:00. We could have taken much longer but we started to realize that it was getting close. There is so much good information You literally have to stay at each section for 15 minutes or so to just really grasp the greatness of the sacrifice of these people. I can't wait to go see this again. Any pictures that anyone takes is only a minuscule version of what it's actually like to be in that space. It is completely immersive with war sounds in the background and tanks in front of you and pictures and maps and artifacts. I have two public folders on my Facebook account (RoseAnn Melcarek) that are for Cantigny if you want to see more pictures.

Wow! I went to see some tanks and surprise the tanks are on some of the most beautiful sights that one can see. There is a museum and food and the bathrooms were very clean. 👍👍 This place is gem. Go as soon as you can. We can't wait to go again.

Absolutely amazing museum! I was extremely impressed by how each room you walked through was designed to immerse you into the environment and conditions of each conflict. My favorite section was how you watched a video on D-day in a replica personal carrier like you where on your way to storm the beach. When the video ended the screen went up and it looked like you where actually there! All the information and items they had on display was very interesting and informative. The tanks outside where great to see as well too! It only cost $5 dollars for parking, which is a great deal! The whole complex looked like it had a lot to offer. I unfortunately ran out of time to see it all. I would definitely recommend stopping by this site if you are in the area!

Great place for learning about the history of our veterans and their sacrifices in making our country more safer for everyone. Amazing gardens for events (weddings and parties) as well as a golf course.

I'm not a big museum goer but went with my daughter and her kids. I was very pleasantly surprised. The kids loved getting up close to the tanks and the museum was really interesting. I want to go back when I have more time to view the exhibits.

I visit once or twice a year. They recently renovated the museum, it's a nice trip for the whole family. They let you climb on the tanks as well. That's a large walking path and historical builing on site as well. Definitely a whole day adventure.

I was there to see the Alebriji sculptures, which are phenomenal. As my friend and I made our way to each sculpture, we took in the well-tended, beautiful gardens. Walking through the War Exhibit, I could see how Cantigny would be a great field trip for kids. Kids of all ages can learn from a variety media. It is certainly a family-friendly place to visit. The people who work here are kind and helpful. You only pay a reasonable parking fee. Pack a picnic lunch (There is a place on-site to grab a bite. ) and head on over!

This was awesome and I recommend everyone to go. There was clearly a lot of effort put into the creation of the WW I - VIETNAM display. There is a lot of information to take in through all the displays and would take over an hour or more if you want to read every piece of information. I do wish they covered more information about the current wars but can see there is space limitations. The displays are much larger than you'd think from walking in from the outside. We were greeted politely and given information as we walked in. Very nice place.

Had a wonderful time walking the trails, looking at the tanks with my Grandson, and visiting the 1st Inf Div Museum. We all had a great time. Beautiful place to take your family.

Nicely done museum on a great piece of property. Focused on the first division throughout its history. Learned about a lot of things you don't see in the movies. Old tanks are displayed on the grounds. They have guided tours of the grounds. It's a great value at $5 per car. Check it out if can.

Really good looking park with a great museum of our military history. This was well worth the hour and a half drive out of Chicago.

Well worth it 👌 We are visiting this museum every year or two. Exhibits are very realistic, and there's a lot of it . Sound and lighting effects are very carefully selected to get a feeling that you're actually there, back in 20 century, during World War. Parking fee 30$ is reasonable, you can spend the whole day enjoying outdoors too. And don't forget about the real tanks that you can climb on 👍

My son was really excited to see tanks. We decided to go because he was so excited. We didn't know what to expect and only planned to be there 4 hours. We should have planned at least 6 hours. After experiencing what was at Cantigny, I want to bring my extended family from out of town so they can experience the history and sacrifices our war heros have made. I particularly appreciated the diorama of the D-day invasion. I'll be back many times and bring who ever will come with me.

So parking was free as we use our military cac cars for entry. This place is great. It's super nice .the exhibits where cool and they had a few interactive simulators that my child enjoyed the tank park is pretty cool and I like how you can actually climb on them to take photos just be cautious. We even took it as far as checking out two of the gardens it was a little cool the day that we went but I would definitely revisit in the summer. As I would love to go down the bird trail they had. They where setting up the lights for the Christmas exhibit " Christmas at Cantigeny" I'm definitely coming back for that after 1 December which is the opening night.
