The playground at Lake Shore Park is a great playground in Streeterville. There is a small and simple play structure for younger children and a much larger structure for older children with a few slides, climbing elements, and more. There is also the standard set of Chicago Park swings (toddler, adaptive, and belt seat). The play area is fully enclosed and features great views of Lake Michigan (although the views are over the often jammed DuSable Lake Shore Drive...). The play surface is wood chips and there are a few benches for seating. There are some trees that provide some shade and this playground is next to the fieldhouse for bathroom access. All in all, this is a great playground with great views.

This was a great park for my kid to play on while we waited for others to go to an appointment at Lurie's Children's Hospital just down the street. You can see Lake Michigan from the park as well as all of the wonderful city buildings the opposite way. It says it's designed for 5 to 10 or 12 year olds, but there was a slide, swings, and other things 3-4 year olds could probably enjoy, too. If we need to be in the area again with time to spare, we'll definitely return!

Open field running track and nicely done playground. Not to overcrowded on a cloudy Friday afternoon. Fun to have the high rises all around.

A place you must visit if you're in Chicago. The park is beautifully done with lush green grass and a variety of colourful flowers. You can sit here and just have a meal, and enjoy the place basically. If you're a tourist you must take a walk here. You can rent out bikes so that you can ride along the bicycle path. The place has a lot of foot fall, and can get crowded but its still enjoyable.

It is a small park that looks to be used for dogs mostly. There is a track with grass on the inside where the dogs were and a small fenced in playground area There is a community center/gymnasium people were playing basketball.

Nice park to play with th kids, walk the dog, or jog. If you get tired of that, go across the street to relax at Lake Michigan.

I was downtown Chicago and I heard the Blue Angels practicing by the lake. I walked to Lake Shore Park from Michigan Avenue and watched the jets maneuvers in the sky. There were only two people standing there at the beginning. When I left about 45 minutes later there were at least two dozen adults there, some with children in tow.
