I wanted to share a quick story in hopes that perhaps it will help someone else one day.. my oldest son has always struggled with anxiety as he went in to his early teen years he seemed to feel worse with all the pressures at school . Although we always kept him busy with different activities he still seemed a bit lost . At some point it was suggested that he start taking antidepressants ..I as a mom felt he wasn’t there yet and looked at different things he could do to help him.. when we found Sam Colonas Gym we were so excited to give it a try . My son came out super tired his first day lol but so happy ! Feeling super ready for the next class . Today he’s a much more confident kid , and is much better at socializing with kids his age .. he’s even taken the time to practice with his siblings. So I’m very thankful that we found this gym ! A special thanks to the instructors and to Debbie ❤️ Who genuinely care about all our kiddos .

FOR PEOPLE LOOKING FOR CLASS HOURS/DAYS: Classes are great, the coaches help with every small detail. It’s really cheap as well with a military discount 80$/mo. I’m signing up now. Their website is not updated so decided to post this for everyone Update... changing my review to 3 stars. I enjoyed their classes initially but I began to lose interest in the material they taught. The instructors are knowledgeable but due to group classes it's not too involved. It's mainly cardio for 20 minutes and techniques for 20 mins and then stretching for 10 minutes. It's good for beginners but I'm joining a different gym now.

Sam Colonna, I just want to say hands down the best boxing coach ever!! I love the gym because he teaches on so many levels. I recommend Coach Anthony as well he's very hands on and he's very honest with us he uses different boxing techniques that help us grow as a boxer. Everyone who has ever trained at this gym knows that we are a tight family and we don't judge anyone we lift them up and train hard so we can get the results we want. Sam has built my character from being very insecure to being a true champion in and outside of the gym. Thank you, Sam for creating this gym environment for us we truly appreciate all the staff and all the coaches!!

Get someone else at the front desk, A couple months ago I brought a friend and the lady behind the desk absolutely a nightmare. She told me I couldn’t wear a sports bra or a t shirt or shorts… basketball shorts and I had to be covered from head to toe, mind you there are Pro women there wearing sport bras able to wear whatever. Not only that but men can wear basketball shorts no shirt period and he told absolutely nothing. I asked her about it and she said I was too distracting and we don’t that here…ummm ma’am I was wearing a t shirt and basketball shorts. Then I brought a friend and she started yelling at us when it was near closing that we needed to get out and come up there when we’re just wrapping up the workout, mind you there are other people there… men there finishing also but we’re the only ones told we had to leave and come see her. We’re hot sweaty, doing the same workouts as the men and pro women but have to be clothed head to toe…it’s not what you wear it’s just whose wearing it. It make young women not want to go there, and we aren’t even going to touch on how creepy the men are there, constantly trying to make conversation and watch you. It’s fine if you’re male.

I had an incredible experience at Sam Colonna Boxing! The facility is top-notch and offers an amazing atmosphere for both adults and kids. The variety of classes is impressive, and the prices are unbeatable in Chicago. The gym provides a safe and welcoming environment where beginners can learn the basics with exceptional guidance. Working alongside professional boxers is a unique opportunity that sets this gym apart. Coach Sam Colonna is a legend and his coaching is unparalleled. Whether you're a beginner or aspiring to fight professionally, this is the ultimate place to be. Don't miss out on being a part of this fantastic Chicago gym!

I came in to workout from 8-9 because I missed a class at my regular boxing gym. I like how they have a free day pass when it’s your first time. This gym is very spacious & has a the right equipment you need. The moment I walked in Mr. Lee introduced himself & made me feel welcomed right away. He even showed me some tips when jumping rope & pulled me to the side to hit the pads with him. I will definitely be back sometime in the future.

😠 FRONT DESK NEEDS TO BE TRAINED ON BEING POLITE AND RESPECTFUL!!!! After my workout in the evening, I did not look at my phone in the shower, and wasn’t aware of how long I had spent. After someone yelled inside, to tell me they had closed, I apologized, promptly got out and began to change quickly...
