Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The staff are all great and the bartenders make amazing drinks. I always ask for a wine pairing based on my entree and they have yet to disappoint. This is my go to place for when my and my friends are looking to treat ourselves. I cannot recommend Tarantino's enough.

Sure, Armitage Alehouse is the restaurant currently hogging all the hype in this neighborhood, but don’t sleep on Tarantino’s, which has been a mainstay for 25+ years. It’s a charming family-owned Italian spot good for a casual date or dinner with friends, and it boasts some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. We sat at the small bar, and what was supposed to be a 30 minute drop-in for a couple of drinks turned into a 2+ hour romp where we closed down the restaurant along with the incredible bartenders. We only did apps, but going off the meatballs and caprese salad, I’m confident you’ll be in good hands if you enjoy classic Italian food with hearty portions. If it wasn’t clear already, our bartender Becky was basically an angel sent from the heavens. She was hilarious, welcoming, and made a mean espresso martini among a number of other tasty cocktails. She really made our night, and served as a prime example of how a little bit of kindness, humor, and professionalism can make for an unforgettable dining experience. From now on we plan on being regulars at Tarantino’s.

Some of the best Italian in Chicago. An absolute classic. Off menu - order the veal parmigiana. The rigatoni is delicious, as is the black linguine. Restaurant is good for big groups, birthdays, work dinners, etc. Good cocktails and wine list. Patio is nice in summer months. Inside is cozy in the winter.

The interior is absolutely beautiful and what a menu! Unfortunately I didn’t get to try their food as it was after closing but they have a delicious cocktail menu and amazing selection of wines! The perfect spot for date night or just to have a meal/drink with friends/family! The perfect ambience and the candlelit tables are a perfect touch!

Loved my food and wine. Salmon Vesuvio. Montepulciano wine, and coconut balls with berries and homemade chocolate sauce. Yummy!

Tarantino's is such a cozy Italian restaurant. We split the Buratta and requested they not add the prosciutto which tasted EXCELLENT😋The crispy Brussel sprouts were FANTASTIC! Always great with the Prosecco🥂Wonderful all around dining experience! Highly recommended!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was our second time trying Tarantino's. The first time we felt the food was bland for our tastes and the service was not good. Tried again last Friday hoping it was a bad night. Unfortunately the food and service were both below average. We ordered the meatballs but never received them. I let the server know and she was apologetic, and that was fine, again, accidents happen. I ordered the pork chop and my husband ordered the chicken parmesan and we both had to add salt to our dishes. The absolute worst part, and why we won't return, is because we were charged $3.00 for the bread they bring to the table when you sit down. We didn't ask for it and certainly didn't know we would be charged. I can't imagine how it is acceptable to give food to a table, that they didn't ask for and is typically free, and charge them for that. Customers don't want to be tricked into upcharges. So all in, bland food, blah service, 3% surcharge for *circumstances* and charged $3.00 for bread we didn't ask for while not getting food we did ask for. Really disappointing.

This is going to be a long review…..First thing first….This is NOT an Italian restaurant!!! This is a Chinese restaurant that is disguised as a Italian restaurant and their food is not Italian. Also, do not go here if you’re black, they are not friendly and appeases the white demographic by trying to fit in and claim they are a Italian! Upon walking in, my friend and I wasn’t greeted with much excitement to have us there. We were seated and the waiter took about 15 mins to come take our drink and food order. Fast forward about 20 mins later, everything come…The drinks were not good, and the appetizers tasted like Chinese food. They honestly cook their food in the same oil that the Chinese restaurants cook their food in. (Also the waiters are predominantly of Chinese descent and so are the cooks). So, we decided to order our food and in the meantime we checked the reviews of the place and noticed that alot of people was NOT satisfied with food! It was flavorless and dry and would not be back. We made a collective decision to leave and when we tried to get our waiters attention, he deliberately ignored us for 5 mins and we had to wave down another waiter and she helped us. Our original waiter came to the table and we told him we were leaving and that we were not paying for the food (we have not received it by that time) he gave us an attitude and then walked away. He came back with our check and on that check was the food that’s we never received along with what we actually consumed (2 drinks and two appetizers) we told him and he looked surprised that it “wasn’t removed” from our bill. He then proceeded to go and remove the additional items and handed our bill back with tab correct amount. We paid and left and agreed to never go back!! Very bad experience over all!! SMH

Great neighborhood spot, and I am thrilled that the farfalle with smoked chicken and spinach is back on the menu! Probably my favorite pasta in Chicago.

Giving a star because the drink was good. Food tasted bland and not Italian food by any means/tastes. Would give a zero if I could.

Horrible experience, I had to wait 20 minutes even when I had a reservation. And when I got seated we were placed in a cold and loud area, and when our food arrived I found hairs in it. NOT COMING BACK.

Very noisy but a rousing ambiance, family oriented, decent Italian fare, and friendly service. They added the 3 percent credit card service fee to our bill, which I didn't like, but I get it.

Absolutely delicious! The menu size is the right size to not be overwhelming. We split a pasta dish and the crispy brussel sprouts and it was the perfect combo. Kind and timely service with a great atmosphere. Everyone in our group loved their meal!

I ordered here from Grubhub on a whim and got two pastas. I’m very particular about my pasta and Tarantino’s surprised me with how amazing the food was. I got the Spaghetti Carbonara and the Fusilli…… I will be ordering from here again. 11/10!

Delicious food, and lovely ambiance. One of my favorite places in the city! Highly recommend the arugula salad, the mussels and the grapefruitini

The arugula salad was excellent. Very lightly dressed. The pasta is big enough to split and we had the farfalle with chicken it was wonderful. It's very lightly spiced but very flavorful.

Incredible service food and drinks. Stopped on a random night with no reservations. Family owned place - a rarity in the area. Every drink, appetizer and entree was delicious.

We were looking for a patio and walked in with no particular expectations. The staff was very attentive without being overbearing, the food, cocktails, and wine were all good. As entrees, we got the salmon with mustard seeds and the fusilli in a spicy tomato cream sauce. The salmon was good- not spectacular but good. The fusilli is the main reason I’m writing a review. The sauce was amazing. It had enough garlic that you could actually taste it; the sausage added flavor without being overwhelming (and didn’t have the burnt flavor sausage often does). It was fantastic.
