Amazing sushi and cocktails! I got the vegan black dragon sushi and white peach daiquiri (strawberry version, per request). Both were amazing! The wait time for my order was a little long but I’m still giving five stars for the amazing drink, nice atmosphere, and even more amazing sushi. The vegan caviar was AMAZING! Cannot wait to go back again and again!

My wife and I went to blue sushi for a weekday dinner. Service was exceptional and our waiter always made sure we were satisfied. The menu was very detailed and had many options for vegetarians. I would talk about every dish but the pictures below will do justice. Overall, every dish we got was delicious. Blue sushi got 5 starts for a couple reasons: the service and the price. We got 2 appetizers 3 rolls of sushi, lettuce wraps and a soup. The bill was under $100 which was mind-blowing. GREAT food for GREAT price.

Beautiful ambiance, dozens of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. We ordered lettuce wrap with tofu and it was simply delicious. For sushi we ordered a couple of vegan ones and both were good - this review is coming from a person who is not a sushi fan. The place has outdoor sitting available near tue river as well. For drinks I ordered strawberry rose margarita and it was nice. Definitely recommend reserving the table here.

The service was fantastic! We were seated right away, ans Jessica was friendly and accommodating. The decor is really snazzy inside, and the outside seating area has a gorgeous view of the river walk. A great place to eat sushi in downtown Naperville. Pictured: The Cali, The Pacific, Spider Roll, and Lion King rolls. The mango, lychee, and chocolate habanero mochi ice cream.

This was my first time at Blue Sushi Sake Grill! My oldest daughter actually came here before and wanted to celebrate her early birthday lunch. It was great! Our family of four ordered the Rainbow Roll, Hawaiian Roll, Tekka, Alaskan Roll, Tamago Nigiri, Cloud Nine 2.0 and the River Rock Beef Tenderloin. DELICIOUS! Our server, Sarah B, was incredibly sweet! I asked if I could have a raspberry iced tea for a beverage and didn’t know it wasn’t available. Guess what!? Sarah created it for me! It was perfect! SHE.IS.THE.BEST. Thanks for such a wonderful dining experience! Greatly appreciated the kindness and care Sarah gave us today.

Great cocktails, really loved the Saki Flights. I had the cloudy Saki flight and my friend had the regular one. Every roll was good! Everything tasted fresh. The space is very serene and I dig the decor. I imagine patio dining right next to the river would be amazing. Will definitely check out in the summer. Service was great. I believe my servers name was Serenity, she was a gem. It was my friends birthday and they brought out some ice cream topped with a friend pastry and Mexican chocolate that was so delicious.

The food was excellent, everything we had was cooked to perfection delicious, very well made. But the best part of this experience was Colin C, he really took care of us, gave us great recommendation, thank you so much!

We love blue! We come back again and again. This is a unique sushi place that caters very well to vegan and health-conscious people. The variety is great and they still maintain the traditional cuisine without alternating it too much. The staff was attentive and considerate. We were seated promptly and served in a timely manner. The ceviche surprised me - it was excellent! I love the vegan rolls too - Eden, VLT, Hippie and some of the other ones. I also love the lions roar and the spicy rolls. Of course the classic rolls are great and simple. Miso soup and the salads are a nice starter. We’ve always had a good experience here , although, I’ll say it’s a little pricier than other sushi spots -sushi is generally expensive. Sunday is all day happy hour which is great to take advantage of! Another happy experience! We’ll be back for more!

Early dinner on a sunny day, sat on the river side patio, forgot to take pictures of the food, but the specialties as well as classic rolls were sustainably caught, fresh and very good. Service was good, young workers learning but very accommodating. Multiple seating areas in & outside. Accessible rest area and dining space.

TLDR; friendly service, excruciatingly long wait times between dishes, very lack luster food for the price point. The food was 1 star but the great service bumbed my rating up to 3. We came in fairly hungry walking around as it was a beautiful night. We were on a week night date and came in a little earlier than our reservation. They accomodated us which was great! But everything else about the experience kind of went down hill from there. Since we came in a little earlier we were seated at the sushi bar, which we were more than happy to. Some of our greatest experiences were seated at the sushi bar. Our waitress was great, she was friendly and walked us through the menu as it was our first time. Our rating has nothing to do with the service or accomodation - it is 40% the wait time and 60% the food. I order a miso soup, edamame, calamari to share before our main course. The miso soup's shiitake mushroom tasted very undercooked, I've had a fair share of miso soups and feel like its pretty hard to miss the mark, but mine had minimal tofu and raw shiitake. Which was pretty disappointing. The edamame was fine, it was just edamame. The calamari was probably the highlight, but it had barely any big pieces - the plate consisted of mostly crumbs and tiny pieces of calamari and undercooked tempura sweet potatoes. The wait time between each of our dishes were excruiciating. We heard the waiter apologize to the guest at the sushi bar next to us, so we were expecting some delay but not to this extent. We ordered the godzilla bomb, the thriller and some nigiris. It's very hard to paint you a picture but for a lack of better explanation the fish tasted very overworked and did not taste very fresh. The rolls tasted tired, and very one note. Even when our waitress said the godzilla bomb was the most popular one and that it was a good choice, it was probably the biggest let down for me. We tried to finish everything but couldn't bring ourselves to. Our waitress was so nice we didn't have the heart to say we probably liked the cucumber water the most this meal since it was nice and refreshing.

Great variety of nigiri, sashimi, and maki. Skip the "off the menu" drinks as they are very soft pours and come in different sized glasses. The mango crab Rangoon is amazing. The timing of the food was an issue. My son and I waited 10 minutes to start eating waiting for the rest of the family food to arrive. We ended up not eating as a family. Still, great patio and good food and is worth a stop in! Not kid friendly if they don't like sushi. We were told no substitutes on the kids bento box.

I love sitting along the Riverwalk on a nice day. Inside is nice as well. Pros: a wide variety of sushi options, all of which are delicious. A lot of cooked and vegan choices for your friends that don’t do raw fish. Cons: unlike many sushi spots, they don’t have much on the menu for your non-sushi eating friends. Last time I was there there, I encountered a dog on the patio. It was a little too friendly with my feet! This is my favorite sushi spot in the area. I knocked service down a star because last time I was there the brussels sprouts were remarkably undercooked. There were a lot of big hard chunks that were inedible. We mentioned it to the waiter who was unimpressed.

My favorite place ever - the vegan sushi is AMAZING. I never thought it was possible but thr consistency and flavor was top notch 👌 Fave roll is Up in Smoke, but the Cowgirl Roll tatsed legit like White castle. I've been 3 times now and everytime waiter/waitress/bartender are awesome and friendly, giving great suggestions, too. You can tell its a great menu when the staff is excited to share their favorites with you. This past Tuesday we had an outdoor spot over the river and it was amazing. Our waiter Collin was hilarious and personable too!

Dirty Martini was amazing! Ordered the cucumber sunomono, ceviche, and crispy rice cakes to start off and all three were delicious! Ordered a couple of rolls that I cannot remember the name of but they were all so good! Sat at the bar and had great service. Loved the atmosphere and vibes in there. It was a great dining experience and i look forward to returning!

This place serves high quality sushi, been here three times so far with family and friends. A bonus is that you know where they source their fish from on the menu, which just proves that this is a higher quality sushi spot where you can eat the fish with piece of mind!

This place never stops to amaze us. This is our to go place for almost all special occassions. We love eating every type of maki roll here. Recently tried 3 new dishes that is lattice tofu wrap, crispy brussel sprouts and chocolate torte. Everything is just mouth watering. Avoid Unami express. Lol!!!

I enjoyed my lunch here today. Service was a bit slow which was disappointing because it was not that busy. I love their sushi and love their vegetarian options since I’m not a big fan of raw fish. I did not love the strawberry margarita I ordered. It was a bit too sweet for me.

I spent what I consider to be a lot of money here, and frankly, I was surprised the food wasn't better. Maybe sushi just isn't my thing, but only 2 or 3 of the dishes I tried we're "really good", the rest were just "good". But I will give a bonus star off the variety of vegan options, as well as the ease of finding them on the menu.

The service was good and the food was decent. I would definitely recommend the lion king roll it was fabulous. They had some good beers and cocktails. The mango crab ragoons were good besides the fact I felt like the filling could have been more full. All and all it was a great night and they have a ton of options even for vegans so go give them a shot.

My girlfriend and I came for lunch after hearing about their vegan offerings, and we were not disappointed in variety and taste! It was a delight to enjoy such tasty sushi after so long without. We got the hot popper, crunchy cabbage, hot night, and black dragon vegan rolls, every single one was delightful. I personally enjoyed the decor as well, with sake barrels and vintage advertisements - even a plane’s wing hanging from the ceiling. Our server Kaylin was wonderful as well, she was patient and helpful with us as first time customers. Highly recommend to anyone interested, and we will definitely be coming back for dinner some day!

This is a good place to try Sushi even if its for the first time like me. They have many vegetarian options too (check the 1st pic). Tip: Do not order any Sushi with BBQ sauce as the taste of the sauce overpowers every other flavor. Our bad so next time we will order something else. Great service too. Suggestion to the management: Please start accepting phone reservations. A bit too much wait to be honest. We took a walk along the river but had to wait for over 1 Hour 15 Mins.

My sister and I had lunch here. Overall great service and pretty good sushi; although our favorite thing we ate was definitely the Tuna Tower appetizer– 9/10. The sushi is pretty tasty, but nothing extraordinary. I would eat here again, but not on a regular basis because the sushi is a touch too pricey for what you get, in my opinion.
