It’s a good statue, not the best, and not the best known subject, but I like it.

Stopped to see General Logan's Statue and tomb. Pssst, he isn't there as the wife insisted he be buried at Arlington National Cemetery. This tomb has sat empty for always. Nice spot on a hill to look over Michigan Ave.

A questionable figure, "In 1853, John A. Logan helped pass a law which prohibited all African Americans, including freedmen, from settling in the state."

The monument stands as a silent storyteller, a testament to history and endurance. Its grandeur and symbolism evoke a sense of reverence, inviting reflection on the narratives it encapsulates. A stoic presence in the urban landscape, the monument is a visual anchor, inspiring contemplation and serving as a connection to the past.

It is a cool spot but there are always homeless people sleeping in the morning.

Pretty statue of some guy I don’t care about on a horse. I like the stairs.
