Great venue for a concert and reasonable prices behind the bar. Required proof of vax at the door and pretty big on the mask policy, but staff was super friendly and the bar rocks. Definitely recommend

As distinctive and spirited as this place may be, they are, in their bones, deeply familiar: You know what to expect, even if you’ve never been there before. And that’s reassuring. Enjoy the old-school atmosphere and historic bar, relaxing on the front porch or chatting at the bar with the regulars. They don’t do fussy or complicated. What you get is a good drink at a good price, ohh yeah, and live music - so make yourself at home, meet new friends, and see what everyone has been talking about.

A legendary institution in Chicago! A really cool and unique venue to see live performances of music, theater, talk shows, and much more! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Would absolutely recommend checking this place out!

The place has a chill vibe. I saw One Woman Hamlet here, which was jam packed. Over twenty people attended. You need an ID to get in because there is a bar attached to the Hideout Theatre.

What a wonderful, authentic and inclusive space to hang with friends and enjoy a few drinks. I appreciate that they’re supporting the Covid mitigation measures - I feel a lot more comfortable there than some other places.

This was a fun place! We went on a night where they flipped a coin for half price drinks when we settled up. A bit of a college crowd, but great atmosphere with options of sitting inside and outside.

Love this dive. Soon to be priced out by luxery condos and fancy eateries. Go while you can.

Ridiculous place. Guys the virtue signal mask requirements are over everywhere else and you are still requiring vax cards ?? What on earth. Just had a nice dinner around the corner, tried coming in for a couple drinks. I wouldn’t recommend your place to anyone.

Best small venue meets dive bar in Chicago hands down. Cool staff, friendly security, fair prices. Seems like everyone who works there is happy to be there! 🖤

A treasure. Clubhouse for down-home cultural "outlaws" of many different stripes. Fun, funky location for all kinds of special events. And a great front porch atmosphere for just stretching out and yacking over reasonable drinks.

It was a special occasion, so it was not normal. Great bar staff, great room for a dance. Outside tables to cool off and eat (if you plan on bringing in food). Surprising amount of on street parking at this venue too. It was great all around if you plan for it.

Safest place to see a show during covid in Chicago. They take every precaution seriously to make the performers, staff, and guests feel at ease. Great vibes!

Super fun neighborhood dive bar. It’s a short walk to the Salt Shed so it’s the perfect spot to grab drinks before a show. There was a live show the night we went. Great selection of local beers. Fun interior.

Great little music venue with a great little bar. They've got a whole N/A selection which is nice for those that just want to hear music and not feel like they need to order a drink to do so.

My favorite dive venue in the city. Cheap drinks, great performances, and a nice location tucked away from the city hubbub.

Good peeps, lots of ambiance, affordable tucked away " hideout" in the middle of the city. SPpeed dating, music, dancing in this tiny watering hole across from a soccer field in a funky cool area. Where's Alfalfa & the Little Rascals?

I will say the RedBull shot is a lifesaver 😂 intimate venue, great for smaller artists and feeling a real connection. And the Tamale Guy came! I wish there was more to do in the area but that's the only negative I experienced. Will be back soon :)

The Hideout is my favorite small venue in all of Chicago. It has a really wonderful, unique vibe that very much feels like a family-run joint. The most special thing about it though is the community it has established; there are so many regular artists of all types that you see out any give night, supporting each other and the very vibrant scene that Hideout is a huge part of. Love this place, hope it never leaves

I love this place!! One of those Chicago staples for a solid night, a sweet lil gem. As a Chicago native I support our local businesses, especially those taking heavy precautions needed during the pandemic. As a person who worked in the industry in times past, I know a great spot and this is one of them. Thanks for always being awesome, especially in these hard times.
