Bloomingdale Trail Park - Western Great to find out that there is a restroom at this stop. Bloomingdale Trail Park - Ashland This is the start/end of the trail. Family-friendly with picnic areas, dog park, playlot, sprinklers (during summer), exercise bars, drinking fountain.

This trail is converted from an old unused rail line. What a great way to transform an urban space. I love this!

I enjoy running on this trail, which is by my house, but I would drive to it if it was further. The trail is about 3 miles long, so for my short runs, this is an awesome place to run. But sometimes, in the evening hours, it can be crowded, and some of the walkers do not have the courtesy of walking close to one another and do not leave enough room for runners. Some cyclists do let you know they are on your left, but some are going too fast, and it can be dangerous for everyone. Hopefully, as time goes by, we get to enjoy the trail by having everyone in mind when we are enjoying it, leaving some space so we can all enjoy it. During the winter, there are people traveling to work while others are walking and running but it is less crowded.

Drinking fountains, garbages, recycling, ton of exits, benches, exit points, streets are labeled, incredible landscaping with tons of native Illinois vegetation, security cameras periodically, padded sides for joggers. However, I always thought of this as a cycling trail first. Then joggers. If you're walking, yield and move all the way right. Came across plenty of clueless, strolling people hogging space all the way to the yellow line.

A beautiful trail for walking, running, cycling etc. It is about 2.7 miles long. It is clean and well structured. I like how they indicate how many miles you've traversed on the ground. Hiking here is a great way to shed some calories or improve your fitness in general.

Best inner-city path for walking, running and biking! Gives an above ground perspective with lots to see! No cars allowed but there are speeding bikers.

The views were gorgeous, atleast during the time I walked through the trails. It was very peaceful, you can see people passing through riding bikes and having fun. The people I passed by were so kind! The trails had lots of flowers and veins along the railings and it made the view so much more worth it.

I walk on the trail starting here daily. Early in the morning, there are landscapers, which keep up the trail beautifully. There is always something new to look at with all of the blooming flowers and various plants. Pups love it too!

We started at the very beginning and walked 1.6 miles in. It was hot so we didn't want to get too far. This year there is definitely more shade on the trail at 6pm than in years past. It's pretty flat and an easy trail. Great for a basic walk. Bring plenty of water because there are no fountains that we could find.

Great 2.7 mile trail in northwest Chicago. Couldn't believe the amount of flowers along the trail! Many spots to access it from streets below. Water fountains were plentiful. 2 officers were walking in full gear - should have been on bikes or Segways though - no way were they going run to an area along the trail or chase anyone down if something happened. A lot of people were on the 606. Very friendly. Felt safe with my family. My daughter goes there often and now I know why. Great job Chicago! 👍👍👍 Need to fix the one big bump at the bridge at the highway end though (where trail meets the bridge at the new kids park). 1" plus lip. Daughter took a hard spill on rollerblades because she didn't see it on a trail that was perfectly smooth for 2.699 miles 😫

getting busier! at T-30 minutes before sunset go west, walking or jogging to enjoy the sunset! Friday nights, once a month?, the Chicago Astronomy Club members bring out their telescopes to share them with people.

My first time visiting here. A really nice trail. Always something to see and you can stop and grab a bite to eat at many of the restaurants along the way.

Easily one of the best parks in the city. Although it can get pretty packed (especially on weekends) it’s totally worth wading through the crowds. Seating available at most interchanges. So fun! A must see if visiting from out of town!
