1 star for food 3 star for service 2 star for pricing 3 star for ambiance This location once had the best Mexican tacos in all of Little Village. It is so disappointing how horrible the food is here. The steak tacos lacked any seasoning and tasted of cheap meat. The Al Pastor tacos were overly sweetened and had zero taste to pork. The beans tasted straight out of a can and reheated several times. The rice lacked any seasoning and the yellow color seem to have been more dye that flavor. The red hot sauce was overly watered down on the upside the green sauce was not. The price of the food should be slashed in half for the quality of food that is coming out of this restaurant. As for service, it was friendly whenever we actually saw the waiter. The place was empty and still took 5 minutes to even take our drink orders. The only thing going for this place is that looks clean and has a nice view of the Village Arch. I would save your money and go anywhere but here. This once great place sadly has lost its magic and with it my service. I hope this once great place comes back to its glory days since it once was a staple to Little Village.

My wife and I had the torta combo and tacos de barbacoa, everything tasted fresh and delicious. Margarita's need to be stronger so i wouldn't recommend them

Updated review. This place used to be decent, i had a taco dinner two chorizo and one carne asada. the carne asada taco was average but my chorizo tacos was disgusting it was mushy not fully cooked it had weird texture. Left it behind and learned my lesson

This is not the same Los Comales that I remember. Food was not tasty at all. Their horchata use to be one of the best tasting horchatas and now I have to disagree with that. The menu doesn't have as many options as before. It was not a pleasant experience. The only positive thing that I can say was that our waitress was kind to us. But, I will not be going back at all.

This taqueria is the real deal , Fast friendly service made you feel welcomed! The waitress was top notch , We asked about Suardero tacos, Did not know we were sitting right next to the owner of Los Comales, The owner had one of the workers bring a bowl and explained what suardero was , Taking great pride in the quality of Meats and explaining how flavorful this meat was! Felt very special for the owner going out of his way to do that! Tacos were amazing flavorful this is hands down a place to remind you of the taquerias of Mexico! This is a must go place to go to in the little village of Chicago! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I live 3hrs away, was in town to shop.. the food was good, good prices, but SERVICE SUCKED! They get you by adding the tip to your final check total, makes them not have to work for their tips. Our waitress never came to our table.

The tacos were great, I had one of each, the chorizo was my favorite, but what I really enjoyed was the pickled cauliflower, they called it "curtido" . To me that was the best

The only taco place in Chicago worth going to. The tacos Al Pastor are always on point and the horchata is authentic.

This was my first time back in years and the experience was once again not good 😔 we were seated at a booth it was in mid November the restaurant was COLD 🥶 no heat. The tacos we had were very small and over priced I have small hands and a taco fit in the palm of my hand we ate fast couldn't enjoy the meal, we stood at the door for a couple of minutes to heat up it was very nice by the door the only nice thing of that restaurant unfortunately

Been years since ive been to this location and sadly i wont be coming back. Waited close to 20 minutes to get our order taken. Didn't realize they forgot our drinks until I almost chocked on my torta, typically drinks are the first thing they bring. Food was okay but the service was mediocre. They use to have carrots coliflour jalapeños and jicama dipped in vinegar for customer to eat as we liked those are gone. You now pay for the chips, got a combo meal they messed up and brought salsa instead of Pico and the order came with no lie like 10 chips when I'd assume they bring a basket. It's not fine dining y'all don't be stingy. Still even after waiting that long and after all the mistakes I tipped 15% because I empathize with servers.

TRASH! First off, they’re scamming people. On UberEats they have ALL of these options to choose from for toppings and when you get your food, nothing is on it. The rude lying heffa (a woman) said you have to “call” and tell them you want those toppings. Lying, like who tf would know to call?? Why would we have to call when the purpose of UberEats to not have to call the restaurant. Be aware when you order from this unprofessional dump. They was on the phone acting stupid when they need to take their business off UberEats cause they’re conducting it wrong. Spent $100 on a taco tray and this junk isn’t even good. We waited 2hrs and you send the food with NO toppings except cilantro and onions. No cheese, no sour cream….a disgrace to their culture fr. & to the rude woman employee that was actin dumb, you need to find a new job.

I grew up going to comales in 26. Yesterday I went back after 26 yrs or more. Sadly I was disappointed. Bathroom are still the same wobbly and sad color. The food was not great I ate my favorite el desayuno comales. What happened? Other comales taste great even the poor little steaks they gave me. The child’s seat didn’t have a security belt. No chips or chicharrones like the one given at Harlem site. Plus this was worse the service and then was obligated to pay the biggest tip. When I disputed they said they couldn’t change it. Since we were 6 no I said one didn’t eat at all. The waiter said sorry as soon as u come in and sit u are charged what???? It’s not even posted not even at better restaurants do they do that. So disappointed so sad for a place that is well known to do this. Not going back here for sure so sad.

Just cause they been in business for decades doesn’t mean you stop improving. There are other neighborhood restaurants that are great and quality in there service and food. Once they make it a franchise it kind of goes downhill.

I like the food. The service was not the best. I asked several times for water, but I never got it. I asked for other things, but they never came. It wasn't all that busy. When I got my bill, I had automatic gratuity. The service was not worth ehat they asked for gratuity. When I asked the cashier, she responded, "I just started working here. I said ok, paid my bill, and left. They asked if I wanted to add to the tip. I said no you already add gratuity. I don't think I will ever go there again.

The worst torta I have ever had. Large tasteless hockey puck of a milanesa with not flavor or breading at all. Save your money and go somewhere else. The steak burrito had no flavor either, huge disappointment compared to what this place use to be.

I usually order the tacos here and although they’re good, they’re extremely small. 3 tacos will not fill you up. Besides that, the wait is long even if your order is on the small side. Front of house appears way over staffed with the ladies in front just chatting away most of the time. Expensive place and not really worth the wait, service, or price. This place also does not yet accept any type of electronic payment like Apple Pay despite how popular it is which is a shame considering the fruit place across the street does. If you’re looking for delicious and speedy food worth the price check out Taqueria El Milagro.

The Menu was mediocre, we decided to have drinks and eat elsewhere. Our server got upset and made us order something other than drinks claiming "You have to consume something from the menu not just drinks" never saw a sign anywhere saying what we have to consume I thought it was our choice since we're paying for a service and for the 6 drinks we ordered 😀 then she proceeded to go around talking about us and making unprofessional gestures while doing so even though she thought I wouldn't notice. Do better🫶

This Los Comales location has a bar!!! I still love the food and music too! Good on space so if you have a big group it's perfect.

I usually go through the drive thru and usually they get my order right except when I ask for sour cream. They always charge me extra but they never give it to me. It happens EVERY single time, but other than that the food is tasty and the employees are nice.

After arriving at this Mexican restaurant, there was a young male standing along the door entrance when I arrived. I was automatically greeted upon arriving, and they assigned me a table in seconds. He even came along to assign me a table and was very professional. As soon as I took a seat, a server came right away. After getting my drinks and order, everything turned out as expected. The French Fries were by far of good quality food, and the server kept asking if everything is going well. Once I finished part of my food, they'd saw one plate was done so they went ahead and removed it from my table with my permission. Once I started leaving the location after making my purchase, the young male greeted me again for the last time and said “have a nice day”. He was always standing along the door entrance greeting every customers that not only arrives, but leaves as well. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was great and I’d totally be back soon, especially for their French Fries. Thanks again and keep up the great service!

It is a place with delicious food, the place is too big to go with family and friends, there is a lot of space to leave your car parked, the food has a flavor that you will not be able to find anywhere else.

Wd have been here a handful of times. Usually its great. Food is great as well as service. This time the beans tasted burnt and our waitress was vedy rude. Actually yelled at me over my order because she either misunderstood me or she wrote it down wrong. Either way you dont yell at the customer and be as rude as she was.

I had no issues with the service. It was great but the food…. That was another story. When we ordered our jamaica, it was old! It had a bitter taste. That was one issue. The next one was a hair!!! Yes a hair! I ordered a taco and it was in between the meat so it couldn’t have been mine or my partner. The final issue was in my daughter’s burrito. It was embarrassing honestly to call the waiter over yet again but there was a thick hair in her burrito. It sadly did not look like a head hair. It was short and thick. We left immediately after that having to still pay the full bill.

Please do not fool yourself with this restaurant The people inside say the food is so good and you see people waiting in line to get into his restaurant. Please do not get fooled by this restaurant. this restaurant has the worst food in America we were all in a table of seven. None of us could eat a single piece of steak. The steak was gray and rotten and it tasted like blood. Please do not come here please you’re better off at somewhere else spending your money they charge us $213 for an eaten food, please do not come here and save yourself some time we were here as visitors and we were treated horribly, and as well as our waitress knew the food was rotted, because she straight up asked me what what I didn’t like about the meat, and she had a guilty face on her look please do not come here at all do not be fooled by the ambient, the people who are waiting telling the food is amazing. Nothing is good. Not even the guacamole. The meat looked like used sandals i’m not even sure if it was beef it looked like they used horse meat.

I ordered a #1, asked for the three jalapeño peppers, and they only gave me a half of a jalapeño pepper cut in three parts, and a scoop of rice for 20 dollars. Absolutely terrible. The tacos were cold. The employee was rude with no accountability.
