My celiac girlfriend loved ordering from here while we were in town. This place is 100% safe for gluten free people. She ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, poppy lemon seed donut and iced mocha. It’s great to see her enjoy food again!

Pancakes were awesome. Highly recommend. Doesn't really need the butter nor syrup if you get the blueberry ones. Turkey cranberry was decent. I've had better. And you would expect bigger and better for the price. Take out ONLY. Some people seem surprised by this for some reason..

I ordered my food at 2:29pm on February 2, 2022. Evan answered the phone. He informed me that the kitchen closes at 2:50pm. He took the order. I arrived at approximately 2:57pm to pick up the order due to traffic. I paid $37.66 using Apple Pay. I asked for a receipt and if there were utensils in the bag. I was told yes with an eye roll. Then handed the bag with the food being pushed towards me in an aggressive manner. It’s unacceptable behavior and quite frankly I am appalled. I don’t appreciate that as I pick up food frequently from Wheat End’s Cafe. Therefore, I don’t plan to be ordering from this establishment anymore. Your employees need better customer service training. Furthermore, last week I found a piece of hair in my food on Thursday, January 27, 2022. I contacted the establishment and spoke with an employee who apologized. Offered a refund on the avocado toast and applied a 10% offer the next time I ordered.

Wonderful food, excellent service! We are always so grateful to find celiac safe places when traveling, and everything we tried was amazing, including the omelette, pancakes, breakfast scramble, biscuit and gravy, turkey cranberry panini and coffee. Highly recommend. We waited for our food, and it wasn’t a long wait at all, as well as enjoyed conversation with the staff/owner. We will definitely return on our next trip to Chicago.

So so happy to see a bunch of vegan and gluten free options! Super cute place. I will definitely go back. Unfortunately their prices are very high, which I understand because they go out of their way to make the food allergen-free and still tasty.

GLUTEN FREE GOODNESS! Chicken Gyro is AMAZING! The steak one is good however I really want traditional lamb meet, yet you just can’t find it unprocessed without bread crumbs anywhere so here they use steak, and I love steak, yet I go with the chicken! PS: EVERY THING here is GF so we can eat the Fries Baby!!!!

Take all of my money! Grilled cheese is THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD, just a super bonus that it's gluten free. Next up favorites are: chive biscuits with honey butter, turkey havarti sandwich, mini loaves and lentil soup. Dedicated gluten free facility. Prices will reflect this.

The Signature Popover is something everyone that is gluten free and misses crispy, but moist bread should have… or just everyone… anyone and everyone, you can’t even tell it is gluten free. They are delicious. They also have dairy free ones available. How freakin cool is that!? I stop here every time I am able to go get one, or usually two. They sell some very heart bagels that are good in the frozen section along with a lot of other great take home options. If you are gluten free this is a MUST TRY

Wonderful gluten free brunch! Went around 9 am on the weekend and had about a 15 min wait. The restaurant is on the smaller size, but didn't feel cramped at all. Loved the decor and the feel of the place. Our group tried the cinnamon roll, biscuit and sausage gravy, Belgian waffle, and a few other things. I was blow away by how delicious all the food was! As someone with celiac, it was so nice to not worry about getting sick from any of the food we tried! If you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity - definitely check this place out!

Gluten free to the rescue. Love. Love. Love. My mouth is still watering from the open faced egg sandwich with bacon on a GF English muffin I had for breakfast. Also, I haven’t had donuts in a very long time. Today, I savored every bite of the coconut donut I got with my breakfast. Wishing I lived in Chicago.

Can't say enough good things about Wheat's End. My mom visits frequently and has a gluten sensitivity, Wheat's End has made finding a safe, delicious option so easy. She always ends up ordering extra to take home. Grateful to have a place so close by that she can order anything and everything without any concern. Worth noting while I don't have any issues with gluten, I find the food to be really good as well!

I use to love this place unfortunatley they no longer offer sit down and have several times ordered and had missing items like key ingredients to the food. Example breakfast bun with put the blueberries and butter . Or wheats end biscuit with out the honey butter. Their prices online and in person don't match which makes no sense because there is no sit down and description is poor on the web and often wrong ex will say frozen biscuits but you get one frozen biscuit for higher cost then what it is in other places in their menu. I will still come here because there are not many gluten free options out there but disappointed that this place use to be 10/5 stars for me and dropped so drastically.

Sooooo delicious! My husband got the omelet, and I the blueberry Belgian waffles. So happy I was able to enjoy without being fearful of flaring up my celiac’s disease.

i hate leaving bad reviews, but i also hate wasting my time and money when visiting a new city, so here it goes: i don’t know if i’m just spoiled from being from the west coast, but while i am appreciative for any dedicated gluten free restaurant, i just don’t understand the reviews on this place. hopped off my plane and drove here to order the chicken and waffles, a stack of pancakes, and a popover. i will say the popover was pretty decent, but there was a chunk of what looked like poorly mixed flax seed meal in it, so that didn’t inspire a ton of confidence. the pancakes and waffles were so dense and dry. i’ve been gluten free for eleven years and travel a fair amount, and they were probably my least favorite gluten free pancakes or waffles i’ve had from a restaurant. super disappointing. would not recommend.

I really like the food here. They make a great chicken sandwich. Everything is good. I just wish they had different hours lol. If they opened an hour earlier I could get food from there more often but as it stands I can only go there once in a blue moon.

Pretty good! I ordered the pancakes and unfortunately I wasn’t a huge fan of the mix they use. The breakfast spicy potatoes were DELICIOUS, I Could’ve eaten and entire family size portion of them I swear. I think I would’ve liked the place more if I hadn’t gotten the pancakes, so maybe I’ll try it again I’m the future. They are still pick up only, they just re-opened after being closed for two months, I think because of renovations.

This cafe has a special place in my heart. I ate in countless times before the pandemic. My first time getting take out here. The gyros is SO good! The tahini sauce that comes with it is amazing. I also got fries and a side salad with my meal. Thanks for the delicious food!

Delicious gluten free food that was packaged well for delivery. We loved the Chicken & waffles so much that we had a moment where we were concerned it was too good to be gluten free. The popover was also delicious! Cinnamon roll was a tad dry, but still good.

I loved the food at this cafe! The gluten free selection was superb. I loved the open face egg sandwich and I had a amazing chocolate donut. I shared this donut with my brother and he also loved it. The service was great! Five stars!

Ordered the gyro plate for take out and we were super happy with our meal. Definitely recommend eating at Wheat's End Cafe and we will visit again in the future.

Really surprised I never heard of this place until now. The food was absolutely amazing. Some of the best gluten free options I've had in the city for brunch foods. Pancakes are top notch. A+. Plus I loved the open face sandwich on English muffin. Best textured gluten free English muffin I've ever had. Just delicious.

If you are gluten free this should be a weekly stop! Their food is so delicious and they are conscious of dietary restriction and apply appropriate protocol. They have bagels, sandwiches, bowls, specials, coffee. Everything was delicious.
