Absolutely no regard for family members waiting on patients in surgery. Went to check at the register desk and no one knew where my mother was or where she would be recovering at. After phone calls were made the two desk workers proceeded to discuss what was said in conversation with one another, complaining about how I should of known where to wait. After 3 1/2 hours I checked back in with the desk and they had to make several calls to find out where she was. They informed me she was in recovery for over an hour but was in another area of the hospital. I proceed to the area only to be told that the doctor already came out but I wasn’t around so there isn’t any available to talk to me. They took my number twice but no one reached out to discuss the status of my mother. I am beyond disappointed and disgusted with the personal and lack of caring for people.

Parking is atrocious for an emergency room. Only 1 person checking patients in. We were also treated VERY rudely by Toniya K during the vitals they do before taking you back officially. Her rude comments got in the way of doing her job effectively as well. She did not allow me to finish explaining my daughter’s condition AND forgot to take her temperature and had to come out to the waiting room. WE LEFT WITHOUT BEING SEEN and went elsewhere. I will NEVER come back and would not recommend this hospital to anyone.

Highly do not recommend at all. Went in for kidney issues and waited over 4 hours. Various people coming in after and being seen before me and others. Most of the people that had been there before me were still waiting as well. Various people that were waiting before me decided to leave because of the wait as so did I. This is absurd. You are going in with in an emergency and would hope that these “professionals” move with some urgency. Always have heard negative reviews but decided to go anyways but will not be going back! Now I know where NOT to go for an emergency. They don’t care.

The reception staff and nurses were very nice and so kind. But my experience was god awful. Everyone's nice but no one does anything. I waited 8 hours, kept being told it would be 4 hours. Kids were waiting with broken bones for hours, crying in agony. Absolutely disgusting. On top of this, last time i was here after my mom got into a serious car accident they stuck her in a hallway for more than 14 hours while she was in agony. She had a shattered leg. I am not including dates and times to protect those who were working hard and doing their jobs.

Sat in waiting for 2 HOURS with a migraine. Seeing other patients come and go. Then, overheard someone going in for an ultrasound, which is what I was there for. Apparently, you have to call a number to schedule, which i have no problem with as long as I'm informed of this to do so. Doctor didn't tell me. The lab receptionist didn't tell me. Spoke to so many people and no one told me! I've never had an ultrasound here before, and it shouldn't be assumed I have. Please, inform the patients of things that are not walkins. I don't want to waste two hours nor do I have the luxury. I have two kids at home, being babysat. Terrible communication resulted in damaging my day.

Last weekend I picked up a friend who was being discharged from ER. The entire are outside of ER was littered with numerous used masks and trash, even a dead bird right outside the entrance. My friend, who is 94 years old, was sitting in a wheelchair just inside the door, unattended, in an area where she was not visible to any staff. In moving her to my car, I discovered one brake on the wheelchair did not work. I did notify the receptionist about the wheelchair. While I’m sure many might think this is not a serious issue, it is a huge potential for a patient injury and liability for BMH.

Very grateful for the patient care I received today at Bronson hospital. I injured my knee and was unable to put my weight on that leg. From the staff in ER, to the security officer that transported me to radiologist, I received excellent care. Thank you for the outstanding, compassionate, efficient care I received today!

Went in to the ED for what ended up being a mild steroid-induced psychosis from a strong steroid that was new to me. I waited for NINE HOURS in triage in extreme distress before being taken back to be seen. No access to food or water unless you wanted to risk having your name called while gone to a different part of the hospital or different building. While I understand staffing shortages, and that there are “more priority” patients, such as someone with a broken bone or a heart attack, etc., “low priority” patients do NOT deserve to wait that long for help and care. The doctors and nurses were kind enough and did help me once I was given a room, however one hour of care after waiting for NINE hours is absolutely ridiculous and was extremely distressing. Incredibly disappointed isn’t sufficient enough of a phrase to describe this experience.

One of THE worst ERs I have been to and I've been to many. I was with my father and we had a referral and xrays in hand to be seen for my dad to get a cast or a splint. We waited 5+ hours in a full waiting room with patients coming and going some even getting seen an hour after they arrived. Some of the patients waiting with us had pretty bad symptoms (example: a baby with coup, a young lady with severe back pain and was in tears and a older gentlemen who hasn't been able to keep food down for 3 days) None to which were seen till hours later. We will never be coming back, I would not even consider this an emergency room when you could die or have worse problems because you have to wait for hours to be seen.

Currently at bronson hospital 2nd floor for my mother's procedure. Let me start by saying the doctor himself and the nurse in the room were wonderful!! The ladies at the counter are rude uncompassionate and I would give them no stars if that were an option. The doctor comes into the waiting area I'm in and tells me that she has just went to recovery and is very emotional (as she should be because her sister just died from cancer a month ago) the counter Kady ends up coming in there and telling me my mom is in recovery and to leave the little waiting room. I'm standing there like an idiot waiting for directions on how to get the recovery room. I ask her where to go and she tells me I can go in there. I said you just told me to leave that room though so where do you want me to go. They said just sit and wait. So my mother is in the recovery room by herself feeling very emotional and I'm not even aloud to go in their and comfort her. How uncompassionate and pathetic. O stars for them and the fact that it took over a month to get her procedure scheduled, when she has HIGH GRADE CANCER CELLS. Health doesn't matter when their are holidays involved. It's sickening.

We had a devastatingly sad, but amazing visit here. My partner and I spent 10.5 hours in the ICU with his aunt as she slowly declined and ultimately passed away after a stroke. His aunt was trans, but hadn't completed all necessary paperwork for her name change within the hospital. Regardless, every single staff person we interacted with used her chosen name and pronouns. They treated her, and our family, with love, kindness, and respect that I haven't experienced in a hospital before. We will never forget Amy and Jenn, our main nurses.

Public Service Announcement: I want everyone to know the level of service that this hospital and its family practices perceive to be acceptable. This morning my wife went in for an ultrasound for a lump that she noticed, she was the first appointment of the day. Obviously being very concerned she called at lunch to check on results and was told that radiology had read the report and they were sending it over to the office. This evening after STILL hearing nothing all day she called the office and was politely told that "they closed in five minutes". My wife let them know that it was five minutes for them but all weekend for her, letting her mind wander about what might be wrong. They sarcastically said they would check and after two minutes came back on the phone saying they had looked everywhere and couldn't find any results for her...really? All this while being on hold for 20 minutes just to get someone to talk to. First let me say, we are DONE with Bronson as they clearly cannot empathize with someone having some healthcare issues. Secondly, I hope this review finds the unsympathetic caregiver that was in such a big hurry to get to their weekend and ruined ours since we will all be concerned that my wife's life may be turned upside down.

Took wife to Bronson on 10-12-23 for a confirmed case of pneumonia. She was in waiting room for over 2 hrs with labored breathing. I went and asked the receptionist if they any idea how long it might be. The 1sr receptionist had such an attitude and said I needed to talk to the nurse. The nurse proceeded to tell me it could be to 4 hrs. I got my wife and told them to take us off the waiting list and receptionist number 1 said OK and gave us a sarcastic smile. Went to Beacon and in Three Rivers. Got right in and found out she had 3 of 5 lobes in her lungs blocked. Never again will we ever go back to that disgusting hole.

Cousin taken here for shattered pelvis. All staff were more than accommodating, great care and treatment. Everyone was more than helpful and kind. Doctors were very involved and informative. Place was very clean and well maintained. I'd take bad reviews with a grain of salt for this facility, at least the trauma center.

This hospital was so clean and decorated so well that it didn't have that "hospital feeling" that makes me uneasy. I was treated with respect and every employee that I encountered was kind and very helpful. We got turned around a few times but people were very patient and sent us in the right direction. I would recommend this hospital to anyone who needs emergency care or is in need of surgery like I was.

Went to the ER today with my Mother who had fallen and was injured. She received excellent care. We had a wonderful PA in charge who kept us in the loop as to what was going on as well as outstanding nurses. Our experiences aren't always 5 star at this ER but today they shined.

Worst Hospital I have ever been at in my life. I brought my sister to the ER room for a broken finger and it was dead so you'd think they would be on top of things. instead it Took 5 hours before to see a doctor I came in at 1 am and there was 3 other people in the lobby they don't know what they are doing here if you want to waste ur time go to Bronson I wouldn't trust this place with anything it's clear they don't care my last experience was bad too it's like they want to waste your time atleast last time it was busy but It don't matter.

Out of date software causing patients to suffer through more pain to get medicine. Nurses are amazing, but have to go out of their way to go grab new software to access my information. This hospital has fancy fans and beds etc, but lacs reliable technology. Do better,, please.

These so called professionals gonna make me snap! My son been here for the third time about his tonsils and throat swelling and they wanna keep giving him antibiotics that don’t work so he gotta keep coming back. Patient right people take your info for a complaint, but NEVER call back about the complaint. And I’m not about to let these people keep playing with my son! These weird ENT doctors in the area are by far…The rudest, non compassionate and unprofessional as well. Why do patients have to wait until 5 o’clock for you lazy people to come to Bronson?? Why? That means a patient has to wait to be able to eat or drink. Tf! And Just to say the antibiotics work and send him home just for him to come back with the same thing. The devil is a lie. I’ll sue all you people about my son! I’ve been seeing too far much HIPPA being violated at this hospital! Don’t DO ME! These people are a bunch of lazy, lack compassion, and lack quality care to their patients. 11/

Absolutely trash hospital. I fainted earlier fell and hit my head. I have a good size knot on the back of my head. When I got there I was super light headed nauseous and could barely stand. Was in the waiting room for 2 hours and never got called so I left. I'll just go to urgent care I guess hopefully I don't have a concussion

After having worked at Bronson years ago I am appalled at the reduced quality of care and lack of patient advocacy that has happened. My grandmother has been here on several occasions following stroke complications. Seems that each floor she stays on has a different treatment plan with no prior communication from the last care team. Many of the nurses showed a lack of concern or a willingness to answer routine questions. Certainly understand the high patient ratio but this seems to be a reflection of the economy and leadership and should not be taken out on patients and their families. I certainly hope Bronson does better in the future but I will certainly steer clear of this lawsuit waiting to happen.

The last couple times I've been to Bronson (either for myself or visiting a loved one) I've had outstanding customer service. The nursing staff care about what they do and it shows. I've never felt like just another patient but always treated with respect and dignity. Bronson will continue to be my hospital of choice!

This place is a joke. I'll never go back. I watched an ambulance drop a man off who was half dressed didn't offer him a sheet or gown. He was sitting in his own fesies in which he did clean him self up but then had nothing to cover up with. The nurse at the front desk told him to sit facing the wall till a room comes available. He came in about an hour after me and was still sitting in the waiting room when I got discharged. No blanket no gown and it was kinda cold in there. It's sad how our health system treats us. They are only in it for the paycheck.

If you are sick and need assistance please go somewhere else. I needed a wheelchair theirs was either broken or missing I'm an old lady with a broken arm I don't breathe well I didn't know where I was going and I was alone. I will never go back there. It took me 20 minutes to get off of the ramp into the building and there were no wheelchairs in the entrance way it took me another 10 minutes to find an office where I could get assistance with a wheelchair then when I finally got a wheelchair they had then they had no staff to assist me so I had to figure out how to get where I was going with one arm I.... 'm glad I wasn't dying in the road in front of their building it probably would have taken them a week to. Not happy with your medical care and pray to God I never have to go back here

I am writing for our family regarding the recent loss of a very dear family member. To identify the staff I will say that she was in a room that was numbered in the 470’s in the west wing. We spent several difficult days by her side. We were treated with love and kindness throughout our stay. Every staff member we associated with should be recognized for their love, kindness, professionalism, and caring. They are very special people! Our questions and concerns were addressed immediately with detailed explanations. Our family will be forever grateful. ❤️

While waiting on my best friend to get out of surgery we decided to get something to eat. We went to the cafeteria, looking around I saw soup in those big stainless steel pots. The lid was up on one of them so I took a peek to see what kind of soup it was and to close the lid someone left up.. When all of a sudden this thin blonde coming running over from stocking a cooler yelling, "Get Your Hands Off That!!" For one I was going to close the lid, didn't seem right that it was up. She was extremely rude yelling about I'll serve you, you can't touch that!!! I was horrified to hear that loud tone of voice! Why yell? You could obviously tell she must have had a bad day. Wow! So unprofessional!! Put a sign up if customers can't serve themselves soup! We have nothing nice to say about this experience. Even the man who checked us out apologized for her. Just ridiculous and she should not be in the public working! Oh and also since I told her no thank you on the soup because she was so rude she says to me, Cool, good. She was unbelievable!

I had outpatient gallbladder surgery a few months ago and my entire experience was great. The staff made the entire process smooth, efficient and quick. I appreciate the constant communication from everyone and I felt like I was well-informed before and after my surgery. Dr. Minnick was my surgeon and he was very friendly, informative and answered all of my questions and concerns. Thank you for making me feel so much better! My quality of life has definitely improved.

This place is lazy. My dad went in at 3am with his foot swelling and ankle. Veins popping out and they couldn’t even get him in a room to relax if he had to wait till 1st shift to come in to be seen . He went in a room at 7am and was falling asleep during his xray and all that because how long they had him wait there . A 50yr old man shouldn’t have to deal with that when he was the only person in there the whole time .

Came to this hospital from out of town as my father was admitted here. The nurses that took care of him where very patient, kind, and knowledgeable. However, while sitting in the hospital room I could hear a nurse making very inappropriate comments regarding the patients as well as speaking to the patients very rudely and loudly. A patient even called her for assistance and she was very snarky & rude while providing a response to the patient over the phone and then hung the phone up on them very abrupty and aggressively. I pray this nurse doesnt get any kind of contact with my father as i do not trust her based on what I witnessed. I wish I could of gotten her name as her actions and words where very inappropriate and unprofessional. I give two stars because the nurse that is currently taking care of my father is very kind and patient.

Amazing unfortunate stay! We brought my two month in because he wasn’t eating formula and has a heart condition. Bronson’s PICU staff was above and beyond. They always asked if we needed anything before they left the room. They made sure my son was safe before we headed to U of M. They did imagining on him, lab work, always checked his vitals on time, and the cardiologists decided the best fix for his heart. Thank you! And Shout out to nurse Justin for going above and beyond each time we had him as a nurse!

So I’ve been here 7 hours and have only heard 3 names called in 7 hours. I strongly suspect that all ER DOCTORS and nurses called in tonight as some sort of protest and no one wanted to tell management. So they kept the doors open. Dressed a janitor as a doctor, and are only allowing the real easy ones to the back. If you loved getting kicked in the nuts while having a hernia, you should check this place out!

This place is unethical. We waited over 5.5hrs before having to leave because we could not wait any longer. They do not serve by priority with worst health. They had people crying and screaming in pain waiting hours. There was a chair with blood on it they didn’t wipe for hours. In addition, there was a poor older man who urinated himself and they left him sitting it in for like 20 minutes!!! Nurses were walking all past him. So sad.

It all right little slow but sometimes but that's understandable it a emergency room that we were at and they're always a little slow cuz they're always so busy but some people got to be jerks about it and be rude to the nurses which is not right they're there to help you you went there. they didn't come to you until you got there so be nice to the nurses and doctors yeah and doctors take our money and a lot of it but if you got to go there just be nice. they just can't figure out what the hell is wrong with you. before they really figure it out. Because sometimes they don't do blood or the machine that you had to go through to see what was in your belly or what is going on with you.
