This place does not receive the attention it deserves, staff is very friendly even to us local people not only tourists, food is really good, traditional, big menu, easy to please most people highly recommend if you want authentic Mayan food.

Very delicious food and excellent service. We arrived and parked on the street, right infront of the restaurant (plenty of parking). We tried the tortilla soup, platillo de cecina de res. The cecina was very good. Tender and not salty. Plate came with rice, beans, guacamole, fries, and a big piece of meat and tortilla. And spicy salsa too. Huge portions. We could not finish everything. We met the nice family who are the owners. Super friendly and humble. Feels good supporting a family local business. The restaurant also have free Wi-fii 🙂 We will certainly return here when we come to Piste again. Highly recommended!!

Definitely the best food I have had in Mexico. The sopa de Lima is a must and all the food is tasty. It is located quite off the path in piste but definitely will go back again if I pass through.

Great little place with delicious, mostly traditional food. Generous portions and great service. The home-style soup was a highlight! Street parking available in front.

This is a wonderful place to eat. There is very little English spoken, but who cares -- all the food was wonderful and the guacamole is made with those lovely long-necked extra-buttery avocados. Try the local sausage as well.

Amazing local food and the service is super polite and attentive. They are tourist friendly and they don’t try to scam you. Also the food is in good state and you won’t have stomach issues ;)

Hear me out: THIS IS THE REAL-DEAL. This is the place you have been looking for. Authentic Mexican food, like the one you are told in movies/books and other media. This is not your average touristic food restaurant where you get reduced flavors or small dishes. So get here, enjoy and have a great meal.

A few mins from the chichen itza and you’re into the world of the locals. Great food, relaxed atmosphere and great value for money. Jerky Steak is amazing, as was the soup of the house and the fajitas. Don’t miss out and be sure to stop for lunch. Gets busy around 1pm so be warned!

Off the beaten track but this place is so amazing if you give it a chance! We saw the reviews and it was super friendly and absolutely delicious. We got the fajitas and lime soup. Highly recommend!!

This little restaurant is off the beaten path but an excellent place to get food after visiting chichen itza. It’s in a neighborhood so you’ll be far from the throngs of tourists on megabuses. The food was good and plentiful, the server was helpful, and the restroom was maybe the cleanest I’ve seen in a month in Mexico. I highly recommend it!

Hidden gem. Great food and atmosphere. Completely full every seat taken so you know this place is good.

just cash, nice tasty food but prices are kind of high, but amount of food per dish is lile for two persons so noted this, is worth value and more tasty than the commons around, also they have beer (I recommend Indio or Superior). lile if this help you.
