It's incredible how such a simple place could be so good. The chicken is delicious, it's accompanied by a generous portion of rice and cabbage salad. The owners were so cute, they had only Coke and sprite, but since we don't drink soft drinks, they went to the shop and bought some water for us, though we had said it was ok. We paid 25$ for 2,5 chickens and six bottles of water. We were six.

Other reviews say 95 pesos but we were charged 120 pesos (so 240 pesos for two meals). I didn’t have much MXN currency so I gave them 120 pesos and USD10 - much more than they asked from a couple of visible tourists. And I am not even slightly upset about it. If you’ve never had chicken cooked over a coal fire, this is probably the best place to try it. There were only two tables inside, so you may have to take it to go if it’s busy.

Great find! A small detour after a few hours working up an appetite walking round Chichen Itza. Delish grilled chicken (way better than nandos) and the best chilli sauce. Thanks to other reviewers for the recommendation :)

I loved loved LOVED this. Amazing sweet family running the place. Mind blowing hot sauce. Deliscious chicken. For next to nothing!! I have a huge tip and can it recommend this place enough. Don’t waste your money at the pricey food in the Chichen Itza compound. Check this one out!! You’ll see the aReal delicious Mexican cuisine that they have to offer. Well done!!!

Charming and unpretentious grilled chicken joint. Definitely worth a visit after your Chichén-Itzá visit when you’re growing weary of the touristy gimmicks it comes with. Their chicken has been one of the best I’ve had so far. Grilled over open charcoal and served with seasoned rice, cabbages and tortillas gives you the option to eat it as it is or make a taco out of it. (TIP: their chili sauce is HOT. Just the way I liked it but be warned.) Facilities are bare basic. Menu is limited to what they do best. The place caters mainly for take-outs but they’ll gladly take out a table and some chairs if you prefer to eat in - nothing more nothing less. With that said, the owner was friendly enough to offer to get us drinks from the nearby OXXO but we politely declined. In short: Go visit if you’re in for some good grilled chicken and don’t mind getting your hands dirty making the tacos.

Grilled chicken was really awesome and at a great price! Cabbage slaw and rice were really good as well. And the chili sauce makes everything even better.

Swung by after Chichen Itzá and would happily visit again any future trip. The fresh salsa has a slow burn and was clearly just mixed. We asked for water and they ran to a store to pick us up some water, so very happy with the service! We paid 90 pesos per plate

Ok you have to stop here after Chichen Itza! When a restaurant only serves one thing, in this case, grilled chicken halves and quarters, that's confidence. Well deserved - the chicken is delicious, moist, flavorful. The sides are good too. Well recommended!

So-so. Nothing special. Very simple food. Chicken is not really good. Edible though. I know very well how grilled chicken, cooked in such places, can taste. This one didn't have any taste. We paid 210 pesos for a half a chicken, plus coleslaw salad , rise and two bottles of still water.. Unfortunately can't recommend this place..

We were charged 240 peso for a half chicken rice. Totally ripped-off. Not recommended at all.

😠 This was supposed to be both tasty and cheap, yet the food turned out to be just ok. However, it felt like another trap to scam tourists. The choice was limited to only two hot Mexican dishes, plus oily pasta and almost no salads left. The stuff were using towels to get rid of flies, so the food did...

👍 We stopped at this resort restaurant for dinner. Buffet had a decent mix of meat, fish and fruits considering its location far from the big city. Service and servers were excellent.
