Close to the highway, avoid the front rooms, you can hear both the cars and the morning chat at reception. Also, and for a "digital nomad" as me, is that Internet is very bad, almost not existent. They should have a proper person to setup that for them, it seems like they are procastinating on it, but customers were asking over and over about the wifi access. The restaurant next door, associated with the hotel, has Excellent food and service, yummy yummy.

Gorgeous grounds, excellent restaurant, convenient to Chichen Itza. Very clean rooms and pool with a conference space on the grounds.

Excellent spot to stay for pyramid visit...good pricing, excellent food from buffet or menu Friendly, trilingual staff...impressive! Nice pool and grounds...ruins right on property, the latge mounds at back...well landscaped The place to stay for night show too...1km to gates and they'll call a taxi for you Cheaper to book your own guide at ticket booth inside than ANYWHERE else!

I was really fortunate to find this place. The manager who runs this join is absolutely lovely, and such a great representation and ambassador of Mayan culture. Her son also works at the restaurant that is attached to the joint. I can’t imagine a better a better finish to visiting Chichén Itzá other than checking in this hotel and ha sign a swim and then having a fresh lime soup from the restaurant in this hotel. You won’t regret it. It will make for an extraordinarily memorable experience.

The perfect hotel within walking distance of Chichen Itza. Clean and quiet rooms, a great restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and they can even help you change money. Staff was helpful and friendly. I would stay here again without hesitation.

The rooms were very clean, and the staff was extremely helpful and personable. The restaurant was great. I was here 6 days and tried almost everything on the menu. Nothing disappointed. The service makes all the difference, and everyone I encountered was kind and patient with my limited Spanish! Small hotel, but definitely 5-star service!

Stayed here short notice as our booked hotel had no hot water. Very handy for Chichen Itza. Had to negotiate hard for bottled water and beer was expensive.

We arrived late in the evening as we were headed to Chichen-Itza area. We were looking for a hotel to be close to the Mayan pyramids and it was a good choice. The hotel was only at 5 mins driving distance or 20 mins walking distance. The room was perfectly clean with comfortable beds. The hotel staff mentioned that the WiFi only works in the lobby but actually it was working in our room too (1st floor). Restaurant next to the hotel with delicious food

The hotel is situated in a great location for people wanting to visit chichen itza. We had dinner at the hotel and it was very nice and good size portions. Alejandro our waiter was very attentive and gave us lots of great insights into the area and Mayan history. I would happily stay here and recommend you to as well.

We didn't stay there but had the lunch buffet and for 160 pesos it offers a good variety of dishes including soup, main course starters and a pretty good selection of fruits and sweets. Very good and welcoming staff. It was run by Mayan descendents.

The best value for money we had so far in Yucatan! The location is excellent, 20 minutes walk from the entrance to Chichen Itza (or 5 minutes by car). The hotel is newly renovated, clean, nice big rooms with comfortable bathroom and good AC. The restaurant offers great food at a very good price. The gardens are really nice and the pool well maintained.

We had a great time. The staff was really friendly en the room nice, clean and relatively big. The only thing I did not quite like was the sitze of the breakfast. There was not much to chose from at the buffet. Sadly we did not get to spend time at the pool but it looked nice.

The whole hotel is amazing! Very beautiful rooms, everything is clean and the whole hotel complex with the pool is awesome. The location is perfect, you can walk in 15 min to chichen itza and the whole staff is guiding you very lovely. The Restaurant is delicious and super cheap cocktails to have a nice pool day 😎💪 I fully recommend Hotel Puerta Chichen!

We only stayed one night because of the proximity to chichinitza, but we were so happy with our choice. The staff were lovely and helpful. The food was amazing. The rooms were clean and comfortable. And the space outside by the pool was 👌
