First of all i agree with all the other reviews-i do not understand why the hotel has such high ratings…..I agree the hotel itself is nice, the rooms are renovated, you can choose your room on their website if you book earlie enough, the location is nice, the beach wonderful but its an absolutely horrible service and stuff. The reception and restaurant staff hates their job except Luis, the bellboy, who was the only professional friendly person!!! But we only saw him on our arrival. The all inclusive package is really a full board package what you call in the hotel industry.. Already at arrival all at the reception they do not really welcome you, they explain nothing - like they have a very unique all inclusive system where nothing is included-you must pay cash/card for the beach towel and in case you return they will refund… They charge you for the hotels sunbeds on the beach 8.90 per bed. Outrageous! The beach restaurant and the grill restaurant and the other 2 at the golfcourse which are all running under iberostar are not included. You must pay. You can have the 3 main meals in the big buffet restaurant, for snacks you have a small cafe and a very small limited buffet from breakfast. The minibar is empty (i repeat we were on all inclusive package). Drinks/spirits are only in the bar, where the male bartenders are extremly unfriendly. Wine/beer/soft drinks are from a machine at lunch. 1 type of beer and wine in the bar. For dinner there is a wine list where 2-3 wine is included but the rest is for surcharge! Absolutely ridicoulous. I will mention the golf course which also runs under their name but where the staff is equally unfriendly and everything is very unproffessional. Not even a working water station along the 18 holes…. Their 2 restaurants which also runs under Iberostar are also not included. Overall for the amount we paid for 1 week for 2 adults - 2900 eur - i excpect all inclusive to be all inclusive like in the other Iberostar resorts worldwide. I better spend my money in caribbean where we have never been disappointed in 15 years….its a much less developed country than Spain, but the Iberostar resorts are even ahead of EU standards (having water and ice stations), glass soft drinks in the minifridge etc). For sure we will never return to this Iberostar Royal Andalus. And dear quality manager please do not copy paste your reply how sorry you are and blablabla because it will not change mine and many other guests dissapointment your hotel have caused on our very hard earn holiday…

A very beautiful and well-kept hotel complex. several pools and restaurants offer variety. One of the pools is very quiet, since children and families are more likely to stay at two other pool areas. The evening buffet has different themes every day. there is direct access to the beach and a beach bar attached to the hotel . No music or animation program during the day, in the evening there was music from time to time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. the rooms are modern and clean. usual iberostar quality... I would love to come back.

Beautiful, nice clean hotel. Very close to the white sand Very close to the beach beach. Friendly and helpful stuff. All amenities are available. Food was fresh and tasty. I would love to come back. only complaint is that smoke room doors, and windows open in the lobby which is not very pleasant.

Don’t understand why this place have so many 5 star comments. After reading so many 5 stars comments I booked this hotel. But actually I’m really disappointed of this trip. Nothing special and even don’t deserve a 4 star standard. The meals flavors are mediocre and with few choices, didn’t see seafood like other photos show. Drinks also taste worse than other Iberostar hotels. The tableware were dirty, you even can see remains on many of them. I saw 2 flies (or mosquitos) dead bodies on the ceiling in the room; 2 hairs on the bed. The only 2 things I liked were the view and the flamenco show.

Great quality hotel, refurbished and therefore fairly modern. However Restaurant Service and reception Personal is mainly unfriendly and rude. Shouted at my partner as he took a banana for our child. Having had the highest room category they still charge for a save usage and an additional deposit and don't announce it in the room but only at reception once you report the save isn't working- seems that they could avoid annoyed guests very easily. These days saves should be free to use!

We booked the sea front suite for 4 nights, it was perfect! Not surprising, for € 220 per night, worth every euro. However, what totally ruined my experience and appreciation was the fact that they had the guts to ask me for an additional € 3 per night for the use of the safe in the room. This really and truly disappointed me no end, not for the money, obviously, but for the fact that it shows that they have no idea what hospitality means. Just put the price up from 220 to 223, and nobody will object, but this was just unbelievable.

Not worth it. A bit of a hassle does not come close to my experience with other Iberostar stays. Lanzarote selection and Alcudia are different worlds and I’ve stayed at both. The coffee is very poor all over, the towels released with a card upon a deposit of Euros 15 each, restrictions on moving food around or drinks even though we paid all inclusive, the entertainment is bland and repetitive, the AC was not working in our suite even thought it got repaired after two days, the spa had to be booked on for limited hours of 1-4 ( coinciding with lunch ) at a cost of Euros 20 to enjoy the heated pool with my children (even thought the Levante wind meant that no one could use the outside facilities for days on end) , the outside pool is absolutely freezing and not used much even on a sunny windless day, the rooms are spacious but far away and their layout strange ( no wardrobes one main bedroom/ no door on bathroom access!), the list goes on. Lots of room for improvement and tailor for eventualities like April’s weather. The large screens only had golf on and one pool table was broken so we always had to wait for a game of pool. the Hotel has amenities but none were on full functioning mode. You are almost left feeling that your burden the Hotel by staying there in April. On a positive note the highlight of our stay was the Barrosa beach ( the beds are Euros 8.50 so we sat in the sand instead) and the chef Luis who made it all worthwhile and tailored for my son’s allergies. The buffet is excellent and the kitchen staff lovely. The dinning is too busy- note- but lunch is not. People seem to pay for breakfast and dinner so the Hotel caters best for this if you are paying for all inclusive you might feel relegated as lunch is not as exciting with lots of tables not opened, no table service for drinks etc. Do not expect luxury, it’s over over crowded and I will not be returning I think as I did not get to relax or enjoy much. My kids loved it though and were oblivious to all the above. The list of yes and no’s is vast and made it tiring for us adults. The Hotel next door Iberostar Selection seems to be a much better option and little did I know they kids can move to enjoy the entertainment at the Royal Andalus. Perhaps I’ll be trying this next time as I do still believe in Iberostar and a loyal fan of this chain.

This place was amazing !!! Highly recommend in the summertime this is my first time in Spain and I’ve never been at a hotel where they literally aced every single detail. Everything here’s affordable especially their all inclusive option !they were able to get me a huge family suite for 4 adults all inclusive ocean side veiw . Nothings better than hearing the ocean at night when you sleep and the loving and caring people/community/employees during the day. P.s. the food is so good here 😫

A very nice hotel. We have been here many times and like to come back. The personnel is extremely friendly. That goes for the cleaning service, the reception, the bar and the restaurant. This time we were treated especially good in the restaurant by Carmen and Juani but also by many, many orhers.

I'm really glad we found this hotel. We came for 4 nights and stayed 7 night because we enjoyed it so much. It's on the nicest beach in Andalusia. The hotel is renovated, clean and well maintained. My tips: 1) Buy half board. That's what we had and it was well worth it. They have a huge selection of food. Dinners have every night a different theme - Mediterranean, Spanish, Japanese, Sea. The best ones were on the week days. They offered lobsters, sushi... On the last day, there was Cava and chocolate fountain for breakfast (among tons of other food). I hope I convinced you :) The only downside for me were the deserts. They were made with cheap substitutes of cream, butter... and I didn't like most of them. 2) Ask for a room away from the lobby/reception. There are events in the evenings till 10-11pm and it's really loud if you have kids. What could be improved is the wifi stability. It was not reliable. I really have to appreciate the kindness and professionalism of all the staff we met. They were sincerely interested in making our stay as good as possible. Their service was better than in many 5* hotels, seriously.

This was such a perfect stay, we absolutely loved our time here. We will definitely go back as it has everything a family needs - a lovely swimming pool and kids pool, beach, lovely clean rooms, great food (with lots of choice), kids clubs, lovely staff, not too far from the airport.

Hotel Iberostar Royal Andaluz is an excellent choice for a memorable vacation. From the moment you step foot into the hotel, you are greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service from the incredibly friendly staff. The hotel staff at Iberostar went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Whether it's the receptionists at the front desk (Jessica and Vanesa) who managed to give us connecting rooms to be able to assist our 83 year old family member if needed. The waitstaff in the restaurant/bar, or the housekeeping team, everyone is exceptionally pleasant and always willing to assist with any requests or inquiries. Their genuine friendliness creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, and made us feel right at home. One standout feature of this hotel is its outstanding entertainments and activities staff. I must mention the ones I met who were Mario, Luis, Fer, Oliva and Niko. They are dedicated to providing a wide range of exciting and engaging activities for guests of all ages. Luis and Oliva even managed to get our Grandmother of 83 and Aunt to get involved in the craft making activities which if I hadn’t seen I wouldn’t have believed. The entertainments team's enthusiasm and energy are infectious, creating a vibrant and fun-filled atmosphere throughout the hotel, also Arelis, Marta, Belén and Dania with Starky who kept the youngsters amused all day. Shame we missed out on Paula and Christian who would have made the team complete. In addition to the fantastic staff, the hotel itself is top-notch. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, we had a stunning sea view ,offering a perfect retreat after a long day of activities. The facilities are excellent, with two beautiful swimming pools, a fully equipped gym, and a spa that provides rejuvenating treatments. The dining options are also impressive, with a variety of culinary delights to suit every palate. Overall, my experience at Hotel Iberostar was nothing short of phenomenal. The friendliness, professionalism, and dedication of the staff, combined with the exceptional entertainment and activities, made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic, enjoyable, and unforgettable vacation.

Hard to find fault with Iberostar. The only thing that irritated me out of my stay was having to make 2 visits to reception to request the Aircon repaired (never fixed). But other than that a perfect visit

I've given the service a 4 star because some of the staff were a bit 'cocky' for want of a better work. But most were really friendly, food was amazing and bar drinks were ok though the mixers were bad from a machine and glass choice at times not what you would expect from a hotel of this quality, the spa and indoor pool is 20 euros per person and not much to write home about the steam room was cold, limited time for kids and the treatments are expensive. The company send you a rediculas amount of spam emails, one which asked you to check in and doesn't work and I have cancelled the subs 4 times and they keep coming! We got a very good deal 200 a day for all inclusive family of 4 in winter but not to sure of the standard is the same in summer I would pay the elevated simmer prices. It's a resort so great beach but you need a car for anything else

I think this is one of those places that are extremely overrated. 1stly, the majority of the facilities are closed during different times of the year. The issue, though, is that the staff are not forthcoming with this information. When I asked about the pool, I was told "oh it will be open tomorrow when the lifeguard is on duty." Truth is, the pool is permanently closed. 2ndly, they charge you for tap water in the restaurant. They simply serve it in a glass bottle, but it is €2.60 (if you're on the half-board package). I thought this was beyond extortionate. The location is in the middle of nowhere, and there are no active taxi apps to use in that area, so prepare to feel marooned on a deserted island. There are better options out there. My advice is to do thorough research before you book. Update: I've changed my review to 2 stars. Staff sent us on a wild goose chase to find a supposedly "early breakfast " on our way out only to be told after that it doesn't exist. Among other things, the communication is just poor all round.

Royal Andalus was just the perfect holiday needed. We had a good time and we would come back again. The only downside was that the pools were not opened. Ambiance is amazing. Having a Seaview room was just lovely. On a good day with a good weather it is worth sitting at the balcony but it was all windy throughout our stay. Obviously management has no control over the weather. Food was amazing. Lots of varieties to choose from. The all inclusive option was really worth it. Staff are so welcoming. The activities for the kids gave us a little breathing space. Infact i love this hotel!

Absolutely loved staying at the Royal Andalus. The rooms are very good & clean, as is the whole hotel. The location is stunning and the food is amazing. And the staff couldn't be more helpful, very friendly and make the whole experience worthwhile. Can't wait to go back again.

Andalusia is always a good choice for holidays, but the amazing location of this hotel is just.. no words! Literally you walk to the beach in no time. The food is great and the staff is so kind that we can only thank them for making our stay superb!

Beautiful holiday experience! We visited in March (two families with young children) and had a lovely stay. The staff is superb - attentive, friendly, always having a high five and a nice word for the kids. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable and the breakfast and dinner selection exceeded our expectations! Thank you Iberostar for a great time away, we hope to come back some day ☀️

Came here for a short weekend break from life. The hotel was just what I needed and was truly gorgeous! The beaches were mesmerising and the rooms offered the zen I was looking for. Recommend!

We were unfortunate 3.00am arrival flight delays so stayed in room allocated not happy and should have requested a change. Food staff and all aspects of hotel first class. The only problem is management will not engage unless fully discussed in public with reception NOT Good enough

Excellent experience! It was our first family vacation to the beach and it was wonderful! The staff was very friendly, the food incredible, pools were very clean and the ambience kid friendly. My kids enjoy a lot the water playground. Special thanks to Ana from Animations.

Great spacious new room for a family of 3. The beds were huge and comfortable. However, be aware of the hidden costs. We paid 200 euros for a room for 1 night and ended up getting billed 90 euros for drinks. We had breakfast and dinner included in the price but the water or other drink are paid separately. Dinner was 41euros, 31 for a bottle of wine and 10 for water. The remaining 50 euros were spent in coffees and 1 cocktail. Will not be coming back.

  • 4/5 Stig Aleksander K. 1 year ago on Google
Stayed there as a family of five! Well designed hotel i terms of the visual and facilities. The pool area and room balconies overlooking the beach. Small draw down was room design, no door into the bathroom. It would have been more practical to have a door with people using sink and bathroom at night. We will come back. Btw, the food buffet was amazing
