This is a great museum, more because of its contents than the container. What is even more impressive is that it is free, at least for EU citizens! The biggest highlight is of course the sarcophagus from the Phoenicians, inmacutely preserved and displayed. The one from the lady even had some decorative bronze eye lashes! The paintings are also interesting, and although there are no world-knowns masterpieces there are plenty of Murillos and Zurbaran's

A great marine museum with very nice unique exhibits. I was the only guest in the house in spring 2020 and was treated courteously. Unfortunately, the ambivalent history of the Spanish navy in the last century has not really been dealt with and Franco is still seen as a great hero. After more than forty years of democracy, this should have reached a museum like this.

The last time I visited the museum, it was before it moved and it was chaos. I don't know who has reorganized the exhibition, but from here, thank you very much because it was needed. What a success the change. Not only have the facilities improved, but the collection is also easy to read. Even better with the guide, who, apart from being charming, was an incredible professional capable of adding even more value to everything we were seeing. I don't remember his name but for what it's worth, we went on Tuesday, August 29. So I hope you have the same luck and I'm here to show you the museum and you enjoy it as much or more than we did. The museum staff are super attentive and friendly in general. Super helpful and always looking to make your visit easier. We were going with elderly people and a baby and we had not finished one floor when they had even prepared the elevator so they could go up without any problem. The big surprise is that the visit includes the Capitanía palace. Without a doubt a gift. If you like history, this museum has plenty to have a good time and learn a lot.

A fabulous visit led by the guide Celia, a modern museum that tells Spanish naval history to the present day. Recommended, it is totally free only the donation for its conservation.

(Translated by Google) Modern and very complete museum where the history of the navy is shown up to the present day. We did the guided tour at 12:00. It was very pleasant and we were also able to visit the Palace of the Captaincy. And the best thing…it's free.

(Translated by Google) We have loved it, we went 4 years ago and we left very happy, so we have gone again and again we have been surprised. Everything is still just as well maintained, they have also added a new military aviation area. Admission is free and the guided tour that you optionally include is wonderful. The staff is very very nice and knows a lot about the history of said museum. In short, a magnificent experience.

The museum is excellent. The museum tour by Ana sparked my further interest due to her knowledge and enthusiasm. Additional information was provided by Toñia, a helpful museum attendant. I had recently finished reading El Asedio, by Perez Reverte, as well as the first 10 volumes of the Episodios Nacionales of Perez Galdóz— and the Museum helped bring to life these novels!
