I've been visiting Bidwell Park One mile (Sycamore pool) for over 30 years. I've got many fond memories of swimming in Sycamore pool as a teenager. I love this park! The grassy lawn area is perfect to put a blanket down and relax or play Frisbee with friends. It's a wonderful place to spend an afternoon alone or with friends and family. I still occasionally pick up some lunch at a local restaurant, head to one mile and sit on one of the benches around the pool. It's a perfect place to relax, listen to the birds and enjoy a peaceful lunch poolside. One mile is among Chico's most beloved parks! And a place I hold dear.

Beautiful, quiet, clean . . . All my favorite things. There do seem to be some homeless living there. Let's pray for them! Also, the water level and current is treacherous. Please be VERY VERY careful.

Great memories from my teen years living near Bidwell Park in Chico. We spent many many hours "hanging out" here. (running around like goofy teen girls do - flirting with boys!).

I grew up in a nearby city and Idk why I NEVER had been to Bidwell until just recently. It's gorgeous and great for a walk, bike ride, swim, activity, or just somewhere to relax. My 5 year old LOVES it here too.

Beautiful area. Grandson jumped in the creek/pool to cool off and we wondered in the park. Nice and relaxing. Wonder what the area looked like when Robin hood with Earl Flynn was filmed there in 1930s

Nice Park. Some families, jogging and running with their kids. Others are just chilling under the shade of beautiful trees. Some are swimming. I saw a few dogs swimming too. The water didnt look too clean other than that great place.

A beautiful place for a picnic or to take a dip in the creek. Thankful that the city has worked hard to relocate and reclaim this special place. Hot tip, do the polar plunge January 1 at 1pm, super fun community event.

A beautiful park with a creek that's been expanded into a swimming hole with depths between 1 foot to 6 foot deep before the water escapes and continues down the creek. Wonderful green area. Great reflections for photography.

Love One Mile. It is about the closest we can get to Paradise this side of Armageddon. People are happy and friendly, even the homeless enjoying the California sun. It is a great place to exercise. I do a little Gramma jogging and walking to One Mile and back to the house. Good workout!

Amazing place for some short hikes, sight seeing, and picnicking. I was able to find lots of spots including picnic tables, benches, and other open spaces. They also have extra tall swings if you're looking to swing as an adult.

My parents live about 25 minutes from Chico but when I visit, my Mama and I always make it a point to go walk the trails at Bidwell Park. I love all of the trees and foliage along the paths that make for a peaceful and scenic walk. The park seems to be well maintained and seems rather safe. We have been on the weekend and on weekdays and it's never too crowded. There is a swimming hole and a really cute playground for the kids to have fun. There are plenty of spots to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day relaxing.

It was my first time going and unfortunately we didn't know the pool was opened and didn't get a chance to enjoy it. I love the place. The trails are long and the scenery gorgeous. There's even places that you can still on the banks of the river and cookout and even put your feet in the water. Water was clear and breath taking. Excellent spot for riding horses as well.

Great place! Took my grandson and my dog, but the dog got us asked to leave, so we went right on the other side of the dam bridge and walked the creek. Beautiful, clear water, lots of access, picked up some trash and sat on the bank to enjoy a little snack. Great day all day!

I love Bidwell Park, it has so much history and the vibe makes you want to go exploring or ride your bike down some hidden trail to a clearing by the creek you want to take pictures of and capture the lightweight magical experience. Not to many places you can be at a shopping plaza then smack dab in the middle of the wilderness. From 1-mile to 5-mile, monkey face, bear hole to 12 tables and the circle pit with the massive trees and the 2 foot tall owl watching over you, Bidwell Park has to be one of my favorite places on earth.

We drive from Oroville to come visit the one mile. It's a nice spot to go play at the park and then head over to the water to cool down have a little picnic. I love how it has a little area for the little kids definitely huge help having two toddlers that think they're independent AF. Definitely one of our go-to spots when we come to Chico.
