I have only eaten here once. I had the "Meat lovers" breakfast plate and I must say, aside being very tasty the portion was huge. I think I ate for 20 minutes and the portion never got any smaller! Lol. I would definitely eat here again. I also need to add that the staff is friendly and the prices are great. Edit. Ate breakfast here again on Saturday. Again I had the meat lovers plate, To go this time. Like before It didn't disappoint! For $15 I had a breakfast plate that I was able to make 4 full sized burritos out of with a little bit left to snack on later.

I have been wanting to try Carlillos Cocina for awhile. Today I finally found it. The landmark to look for is the sign that reads "Landrum Cafe", picture attached. Entered the building and found neat, clean counter seating. Most of the seats face the prep area. Fascinating to watch the cooks prepare each dish. The cooks were friendly enough to explain what they were preparing. Server was pleasant and attentive. The food was darn good. I ordered a breakfast burrito and the wife had cheese enchiladas. The surprise here was that we could have potatoes in lieu of the standard rice and beans. My burrito was flavorful but not very spicy, which I like. I can spice it up with hot sauce or the jalapenos provided. The wife's was the same, however she chooses not to use anything spicy. Again the surprise was that the potatoes were well made and tasty as they put some enchilada sauce and cheese on top. Overall a very pleasant experience. I will be returning and bringing friends. 9/1/22 Update: Nothing has changed. Still great food and service. Also still a bit of a dive, building wise. I have posted new pictures of the current menu.

My first time eating here. A friend talked me into stopping for breakfast, I had the breakfast burrito and it was fabulous. Don't know if I would've gone in by myself, and now it a giant thumbs up from me

Super good! I happened to be parked next door and just went to the nearest place for breakfast. Wow what a surprise! The place doesn’t look like much from the outside. Doesn’t look like anything special on the inside either but the food is good and that’s what counts. (I got a steak breakfast burrito)

Carilillos Cocina is definitely a “hidden gem” here in Sparks, NV off of Rock Blvd. Locally owned, authentic delicious mexican food, and the service is always friendly and great. I recommend Carlillos Cocina highly! It’s a must! I ordered takeout and it is one of my favorite dishes here. It is their Shrimp Burrito smothered in their green sauce, topped with cheese and a side of beans and rice. Spectacularly tasty and one of the best burritos that will have your taste buds dancing!! Takeout or dinning in which dining in is also an incredible experience as well. Sitting bar side and watching they cook directly in front of you as you get served with excellent customer service. I personally love watching them cook and their portions are very generous. Definitely one of my favorite place to eat for breakfast/lunch. Come to Carlillos Cocina if you have not! Such a Sparks delicacy!

Oh yea, This place is good, its clean, service is excellent. The staff is super friendly. I dig that they cook the food right there in front of you. Can you get some big portion size for a good price. It’s kind of hard to find .

My husband and I flew out to Reno to get my brother, and we decided to grab a bite. We found Carlillos Cocina on Google maps and gave it a try. This place is a hidden gem. Authentic Mexican food. Service was great. Everyone was very friendly. It was fun watching them cook/prepare food in front of you. They are also very generous with their portions. Also, im not really a fan of horchata, but Wow, theirs was delicious!! This place is definitely worth it!! Gracias!

Fantastic first experience. I ordered the enchilada plate. I got chicken and shredded beef. Delicious! Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Having service like this shouldn't be rare but it is. This place has it dialed in.

First time coming here, I searched for good places to eat brunch and saw they had a ton of positive reviews. Have to say those reviews are accurate as the food was outstanding. Next time I’m in the area I am going definitely coming back.

Very small diner. Counter seating only. Food is cooked right in front of you. Good menu selection and awesome service. This has so far been the best and most authentic Mexican food I have had in Sparks. Highly recommended if you can get a seat!!

Absolutely delicious Mexican food. Husband and I both had Chile Relleno, Cheese enchilada, and steak taco. So happy with the attention to detail, lovely garnishes, and perfectly seasoned and presented food. Mexican is our favorite cuisine and we’ve had tons of experience eating in Dallas, Houston, and Southern California. This restaurant knows it’s stuff. Hope to make it back some day.

The Chile Verde plate was delicious. Big portions was worth the wait. Don't look around for any other Mexican restaurants for breakfast this is the spot . Authentic. Great prices for all my California people you won't regret it

Holy Wow!! Serious breakfast business! Juevos a la mexicana could not have been more perfect. Absolutely divine ratio of veg and eggs, added bacon and house made hot sauce. Boom! Huge portions, excellent flavor. Definitely accurate representation in the reviews.

My absolute favorite breakfast place, with the best costumer service and Mexican food I’ve ever experienced. Always greeted with an “hola amiga” as soon as you walk in the door by the incredible staff who’s love for what they do is made clear as you watch them prepare your food right in front of you. The team knows half of their customers by name because after you’ve eaten there once you’ll likely love it so much you become a regular. Huge portions and great prices, so much love and appreciation for this small local business.

Wow! That is the gist of things here. Proportions made my jaw drop. I was like, that's not going on top of the burrito is it? Yes, yes it is! Loved watching them cook. The food is magnificent. A must stop. Service was great. Always attended to. Loved it so much.

Food is delicious, fresh, and cooked in front of you. The staff are kind, and effortlessly accommodated a difficult allergy to tomatoes. Serving portions are generous. Cute small diner vibe. Ordered 2 breakfast burritos: asada and chorizo, a chili Verde with carnitas, and fish tacos. Horchata was super refreshing with a perfect amount of cinnamon. A++++ wouldn't change a thing
