Specifically went to check out their disc golf selection. Great place! Worth the drive and challenge of finding parking on the weekend. They require masks but offer at the front door if you don’t have one which is a great service.

An old school game store. Used to be one of the best in the bay, but now at a newer and better location than when last I visited. They used to have gobs and gobs of role playing books from every genre including used and out of print copies but now it's been condensed to a singe side of a single shelf, and that was mostly D&D 5E. (#sadtimes) They still have a super collection of board games and disk golf equipment. I kind of feel bad deducting a star for not having many RPG books, but I gotta do it.

don't be "that" person. don't toss the frisbees they sell inside the store!!! in fact, don't even touch them unless you live to frolf and plan to 110% buy one. look at them from a safe distance and resume your tabletop game browsing.

Very good game store located near UC Berkley. Knowledge staff that is very friendly and helpful. Great selection of games at very fair prices. Along with a big selection of game supplies (dice, counters, chips, etc). We haven't rented game space/library yet, but it's on our to-do list so we can try a few games before we buy them.

Really nice store, they have a good variety of board games of TCG. Prices are pretty high when it comes to TCG. Pretty much your only option in Berkeley. Not worth going to Berkeley for how ever.

Great people and awesome location, my only issue is pricing of your products specifically the Collectible card games like Yugioh and Digimon more so being over priced. I've bought the same box of Royal knights from another store and GoB is definitely way more might by like another 40 bucks. Probably would just never buy those products from here.

Super new to gaming and the staff was so helpful with choosing out my first die set!! Was able to get in and out quick, but it's definitely a store you could wander and explore with the friendly layout and gaming room in the back!!

If you're a board game, cards, or game night fanatic, this is the place for you. So many games to choose from with such great variety from the classics to your newer additions. They even had a game room which I assume they host game events which is pretty cool. The guy working there was super helpful in suggesting us some great games and was so passionate about telling us his favorites- it was such a wholesome and pleasant experience!

TLDR: Big, open, inviting, helpful staff, well stocked and varied, and family friendly. Highly recommend. Family is visiting Berkley to escape the Phoenix heat. When my son decided the summer camp MTG decks were nop up to par one of his camp mates suggested we go here. Boy are we glad we did and what an amazing place this is! Not only is this game shop huge and open but they carry a giant selection of games, cards, puzzles, and novelties. They have a sizable game room in the back and stuff to look at for days. Besides the size and variety here another big distinction is the staff. Back home our game shops are lorded over by mostly rude and obnoxious gate keepers who scoff at newbies and their parent asking " dumb questions", not at Games Of Berkeley folks.. Wow are they friendly and helpful and best of all, inviting. I had serious apprehensions about my son meeting his buds for a few rounds of cards at the stores in phx because some of the other players can be mean and horribly foul mouthed and have no regard for anyone else in the area. I would not have the same concern here.

This historic establishment is the oldest and largest game shop in the bay area. They have a fantastic selection of board games, puzzles, RPG , figures and lots of cool geek items to discover. This is a great local store that is well worth supporting. 5 stars all the way.

Again, super impressed with the selection of items available at this store. The gaming community here is next level. Specifically I enjoy their tarot card selection and their staff is well versed and have educated opinions of each deck available, even more so than most metaphysical stores.

Fantastic selection, logically laid out by genre, right down to minis and painting supplies. Even a game room with a nicely stocked game library for a small entry fee.

I've been visiting Games of Berkeley for about 20 years now and I always am impressed. The staff is incredible, very friendly and knowledgeable as well as more than happy to help educate customers. There's a used game area too which is a complete bonus!

The staff is super helpful and really nice. The gentleman who helped me, offered to stream videos of the games I was interested in on the tv to help demo the games. They have a huge selection. I got hive pocket (travel), per his recommendation. My partner and I ended up loving the game. If you like chess, you'd probably enjoy it too.

I’ve been to a lot of tabletop game stores and this is probably the best, biggest, and most well stocked one I’ve been to. The biggest plus for me is I’m a huge Pathfinder fan and places don’t usually carry a lot of that stuff. Games of Berkeley had plenty of whatever I was looking for. A bit of a drive for me but it’s well worth it. Love this place!

Awesome table top game store! Wide selection with helpful and knowledgeable staff. Friendly and considerate, too! When I mentioned I was from out of town they asked if I had a local store I could buy from instead because they didn't want to take their business away! This wasn't the case, and I made my purchase from here anyway. But still shows a level of responsibility from them that is astounding during this downturn in physical sales. Their website was very useful and I was able to see the copies of a book I had been looking for were in stock. I overheard they ran one-shots for games, which is really amazing. Would recommend this as a place to visit if you're into(or looking to get into) TTRPGs.

I’ve been to quite a few game shops all around the world and in the US, and games of Berkeley is incredible! The availability of game ROOMS (not just tables to play at) is wonderful. The events are lovely. And the selection is awesome. Also love that they encourage and support local creators. Welcoming environment, great customer service. Extraordinary variety of products with appeal to all ages. Very friendly, low-key, knowledgeable and helpful staff who are themselves enthusiastic gamers. Fantastic D&D game rooms. The only criticism is a comparatively limited selection of miniatures. 100% worth a visit.
