Beautiful collection of plants from around the world in classic glass greenhouses, frog pond, and gardens. The entire campus is a long established arboretum featuring well labeled and cared for tree species.

One of my favorite places to stop when I'm passing through the campus. The greenhouse is filled with many different varieties of plants and each room is a different "biome". Great place to stop the winter blues with a little relaxation around some cool plants

Awesome experience waking thru the various green houses. It's technically free, but they suggest a donation. I donated $5 per person and it was worth the experience. See pictures, then go here for yourself!

Beautiful little botanical garden with a quite impressive collection of species housed in different interconnected greenhouses. Must be an absolute joy in the depths of winter. Admission is free, but a small donation is requested and highly deserved.

Love this garden. The main attraction is the greenhouses where they have 100s on different plants including some rarer crosses. It's set up well with little ponds in each room. Entry is free but they accept donations.

The botanic garden is a wonderful mini-getaway when you have cabin fever or are sick of winter. The large greenhouses are nothing short of spectacular. We were fortunate to catch the Bulb Show in early spring that offered an intoxicating array of amazing flowers. Special events can draw a crowd, so there may be a bit of a wait. I don’t think it’s particularly wheelchair accessible. There is a bench or two for those with mobility issues, but they might not be available. Parking is on street and can end up being a bit of a hike as well as the street parking being uphill from the place, so if you have mobility issues it’s best to be dropped off at the door. There are bathrooms but no concessions- however, you are in Northampton and a slew of dining and shopping options are nearby. Kids seem to enjoy it - I don’t think the facility is very good for strollers since the paths can be narrow. It’s a slam dunk for an afternoon date. There are exhibit spaces as well as the regular greenhouses.

We visited the botanic gardens and greenhouse for Earth Day. The admission is free ($2 donation suggested upon entry), the greenhouse is well kept and was not crowded.

This is my new, favorite happy place. Such an awesome hidden gem!!! Encouraged donation to enter - worth every penny! Spent about an hour and a half wondering through each room.

Great collection of flora from around the world, well organized and curated. Free to enter but they do have a suggested $2/person donation. Great gardens outsides and they have some kids activities as well.

Lovely, well-maintained gardens both inside & out. Many varieties of plants and a dry section for desert species too. This special place is well worth a repeated visit.

I’ve been coming here since I was a child. Every time I go, I’m awestruck by the magnificent colors, textures, and environments captured in this haven. Observing plants from around the world is transportation, as well as educational. It’s a perfect rainy day activity, and I recommend it to anyone. Family friendly location, and even a great solo spot. There is no “fee” to get in, but it would be great to donate to this amazing place. Downtown NoHo is walking distance and there are plenty of options for lunch (or ice cream) to top off your day. Enjoy, and be sure to take pictures of your own!

Nicely laid out, compact outside garden. Not too many unusual varieties outside, but worth the visit.

The outdoor gardens are great to walk around in the sunny weather, and it’s awesome having the lyman plant house warm and green year-round, even in the middle of winter. Particularly love the bulb show, benches for photos, succulent section and resident frog 💚

Love it. Especially in the middle of winter. You go into the tropical rain forest room and it feels like you're in Florida or on a tropical island. I highly recommend this botanical garden. ❤️

The Floral and Garden show at Smith College in Northampton, MA is a lovely prelude to the Spring season. The flowers are simply beautiful carefully arranged in a variety of colors that makes your sense of sight go wild. Not to mention the aromatic scent of these gorgeous floral display just warms your spirit. It can be quite crowded especially during the weekends, it is free but with a $5 suggested donation. The show which usually is held for the month of March runs for about 2 weeks.

A slice of paradise year round. The spring bulb show is not to be missed (visit weekdays to avoid the crowds)! It smells absolutely incredible and the variety of plants is impressive. The succulent rooms are spiky, and the tropical room... it's like being in a rain forest. Sitting on the bench amongst the trees and plants is serene.

Bulb show, only two weeks in March, usually first two, is astounding. Line out the door this year, was worth it! Beautiful & peaceful, year round, also. 🌺 🌸 💐 🌷

Great place to visit with or without kids. We went on a cold winter day and it was like an oasis of green. Looking forward to going back in the warmer months to check out the outside areas.

Beautiful gardens on campus with indoor and outdoor areas!

What a great place to spend an hour or two. Obviously the indoor greenhouses are warm and humid but that's what you would expect. The plants were absolutely stunning; such a variety of unique and special plants. Well worth the donation for entry, I would even donate more if I were to visit again.

A hidden gem. A select group of unique plants. I loved the cactus room. Everything is understated. Very appealing.

They were closed to the public except for locals so I was not able to go inside the greenhouses. I was able to view part of them from the doorways outside. I walked around the outdoor gardens which were in full bloom and really beautiful.
