I’ve been going to Baystate Dental for many years and, after moving, specifically to the West Springfield Office for about 4-5 years. In all those years, I have always had very positive experiences. I have good teeth but I’m also getting up there in years so I’ve needed a few root canals and caps, mostly before I began going to BSD. Some turned out good but there have been one or two that still bother me to this day. That said, last year Dr. Chin did 2 root canals on me during the same appointment. It was completely painless and so very efficient. Just a week or so later, I had the new caps on and those teeth feel completely natural and pain free. Unbelievable. Yesterday, I had another great check-up and cleaning in a brand-new section with state of the art equipment. More importantly, my hygienist, Jessica, was extremely professional and so friendly.

This place is great! Staff is always friendly and welcoming. They are all also incredible at their jobs! Never feel any pain when I have any work done. 100% recommend coming here for any dental issues! Dr. Howen is the best! Always makes me feel so comfortable and takes my nerves away. Susan was great too and very helpful!

I say it every visit: if this isn't your dentist, you're doing it wrong. Just the most knowledgable, kind, available dentists on staff. I have yet to meet one that I don't adore. I have SERIOUS dental trauma from a previous dentist and it makes coming in challenging, they work with me EVERY time and make sure I'm ready! Keep. Being. AWESOME!

I started coming to this office in the summer of 2023 for an emergency tooth crack. The office took me in and immediately started working on my teeth and even completed the work from the past 3 years that I needed. This office is amazing! The dental assistants and the front staff and the doctors all were very accommodating, skilled, kind people! This was amazing

Everyone there is amazing. I have had so many negative experiences with dentist, but definitely not here! Staff explained to me initial plan after my first visit and when I went for my second visit (fillings), everything was explained step by step, very thorough, and efficient work! Great experience.

I am curious how you think it is reasonable to bill someone for services that you did not provide them. Facts: You sent me to collections for a bill that is not mine, and is not my responsibility. I disputed said bill with the collections agency. Given that you couldn't provide evidence to them that is was my bill (it'd be a darned tough call, since it isn't my bill), they appear to have returned the account to you and not pursue collections... ... AND THEN you have the unmitigated gall to bill me directly again and add a collections fee? All for a bill that is not mine? Absolutely rubbish treatment of patients. Potentially illegal billing practices that at least border on attempted fraud. I sure wouldn't recommend anyone seeing YOUR dentists any time soon.

Horrible!!! They said I missed 3 appointments in which I did not!! I called 24 hrs in advance for 2 appointments as I was sick. They have a 48hr policy which makes no sense especially if you get sick. They want a sick person coming in there? Ok! Then I called back in November of this year 2023. I had a infection in my tooth. They wanted to make an appointment with me a month out. I said that isn’t possible I need to come in now. They must of made the appointment anyways which I wasn’t aware of. They dismissed me from the practice. The dental hygienist I had was awesome. But how they run their practice is horrible.

Dr. Chen is an out of this world, incredible dentist. She’s hands down the best dentist I’ve ever had, she works quickly but does such quality beautiful work. I don’t know how she does it, but novocaine isn’t even as bad when she gives it! Thank you, Dr. Chen.

The staff here is always friendly and kind. I see Jessica and she is amazing! Very informative and helpful. You can definitely tell she is passionate about her job and it shows through her work!

Dr. Chen is Amazing. She pulled my tooth without any pain, the tooth came right out. It was by far the easiest dental appointment ever!! She is now my Only Dentist!!

Baystate Dental in West Springfield is the Only place I’d ever go for any and every dental work! The Dentist, Dr Howen, is wonderful, gentle and thorough and the entire team is friendly.. makes you feel very comfortable and easy to talk to. I had a bunch of problems with my teeth that needed to be addressed over the last several months and I'm so glad that I ended up at baystate dental in West Springfield. My dentist is Dr. Chen who is the most pleasant and empathetic dentist I've ever had. She's super accommodating and kind to me which helps with my anxiety surrounding the dentist. I've had a lot of bad experiences in the past and Dr. Chen has really helped me through everything and gotten me through all the work my teeth required. I'm so thankful to her for all her help and understanding. For most of my appointments I also had Guli as the dental assistant and her and Dr. Chen are the dream team. They work really well together and provide the best services. I couldn't be happier with my experiences with this practice.

My experience here was fantastic! After checking in, I was brought back almost immediately. Dr. Chen was professional, personable, and very knowledgeable. She walked me theough the steps it would take to get Invisalign (or equivalent) and I left feeling really good about my next steps!

Called here 735 AM with a broken tooth that needed to be extracted, got the only available appointment and got to see the amazing Dr. Chen. I can't say enough about how well this doctor listens to what you have to say, and will make your experience as painless and prompt as possible. Every instruction I gave the doctor, every question I asked was given a detailed answer. The procedure was painless and she understood my anxiety and breathing techniques I use to get through the dentist. I will be coming back here for all my future visits. I was not a patient but I needed to get in on a Friday, there was an infection in my tooth and I needed care for it asap. I called on that Friday morning and got an appointment for 12 noon that same day. I received meds for my tooth and an appointment for the next Thursday for a root canal. I am so appreciative of everyone's help in the office for getting me in and Dr. Jen was wonderful and made me feel at ease. I will now be a patient at this practice going forward and I would recommend them to everyone I know.

I was BEYOND nervous to have the procedure done that I was told was "painful". I had never been to this location of Baystate Dental so I was a bit more apprehensive. Well I was VERY pleasantly surprised. First, Melissa at the front desk was wonderful. She was friendly, funny, and tried to help calm my nerves. Next, I had Marilee as my hygienist. HOLY SMOKES... she is a TOTAL rock star! She was not only super kind and told great stories while my mouth had tools in it - she has a super calming energy AND great skill - no pain (seriously, it didn't hurt!). Next came the dentist... oh man, my fears were back. I'm glad to share they weren't needed because Dr. Howen was amazing. She was funny, gentle, and didn't make me feel silly for being a scaredy-cat. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice for your dental needs.

Just came from Baystate Dental, New patient visit, early phone call to verify insurance, they email forms to fill out, takes about 10 mins to do and return. Arrived, front desk copies ID and insurance card. Front staff friendly and courteous. Met with hygienist who did fast xrays and a thorough cleaning. She was awesome!! Have appointment in only 3 weeks for an extraction and then a permanent bridge. I NEVER liked the dentist, but they were EXCELLENT ALL AROUND !!! Glad I called and switched!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!! I love the way my teeth feel after they are cleaned. My Hygienist, Jessica, was super gentle and very professional. I got tangerine flavored toothpaste and it was yummy! I would highly recommend Baystate Dental of West Springfield and Jessica, if you are looking for a great experience.

I was very impressed with my entire experience. I’ve been putting off finding a new dentist for much longer than I should, but I was easily able to make an appointment online, call to reschedule when I needed to and was seen quickly. This was my first time is this office and I was greeted with a warm welcome at the desk. I was then called by Evelyn and she was great and made me feel comfortable. As with most people this is the least favorite place to visit (The Dentist). My next introduction was with Dr. Mujtaba and another pleasant and professional experience with her. Baystate Dental of West Springfield was one of the best dental experiences of my life. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was in and out of the office in less than hour from my appointment. They were even able to accommodate with providing me with a filling service the same day of a cleaning. Would definitely recommend family and friends to utilize them as your dental health providers.

Had a wonderful visit. My dental team is very fast and attentive in taking care of any issues that I may have with my care plan and billing. They resolve problems and make you feel welcomed back. The office in West Springfield is clean and well organized. The building is kept in a good condition so you don't feel like your walking into an old building that has seen better days.

Doctor Howe is always congenial and explains everything to me before she does it. She is friendly and compassionate . Her assistant Evelyn was helpful at prep and answering my questions. I absolutely love this place! I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking to get dental work done. They never make you feel bad about your dental situation. The West Springfield branch staff is full of kind compassionate people. I had such bad experiences with my previous dentist, and when i asked to find a new dentist Baystate Dental came highly recommended. Honestly so happy with them and i don’t plan on going anywhere else for dental work. If you are looking for a great dental place, this is it.
