The rooms were clean and had lovely balconies, which allowed us to soak in the breathtaking views. The staff's service was commendable, ensuring our stay was comfortable. However, there were some drawbacks to our stay. The room service, while not exceptional, was satisfactory. A major concern was the presence of a large number of monkeys in the vicinity. These curious creatures, while fascinating to observe, were a source of worry, particularly if you're traveling with small children. They are known to enter rooms and can even pose a threat to kids. Premises of gandhi nilaya can be maintained better and the corridor was untidy and wet . One of the most disappointing aspects of our stay was the food. 'Pathetic' is the only word that comes to mind to describe the quality of the meals. The taste of the dishes was far from satisfactory. It's evident that the management is not particularly concerned about the restaurant service, perhaps knowing that guests have limited dining options in the area. It's unfortunate that this facility, run by the government (KSTDC), adheres to the stereotype of 'don't expect much from government-run facilities.' If only they had a decent restaurant with good food, this place would have been far more appealing.

Superb location and the view from the room was spectacular. The food could have been less spicy and of better quality but everything else was great! Monkeys were everywhere and often can come close - need to be cautious and careful! Great for trekking, view sunrise and have some quiet time with friends/ family in this hotel. The road to the top of Nandi hills is narrow and car drivers should be careful especially with the hairpin bends.

Food: The food at Hotel Pinetop is tasty, but it can be a bit spicy for kids. Make sure to ask for milder options if you're dining with children. Wildlife: Be prepared to encounter lots of monkeys around the hotel and Nandi Hills in general. Keep an eye on your belongings and be cautious. Location: The location of Hotel Pinetop is incredible, nestled in the beautiful Nandi Hills. It's a must-visit place for nature enthusiasts and those looking for a peaceful getaway. Weather: Nandi Hills offers breathtaking views, but clouds may not be visible in every season. Check the weather forecast before planning your visit to make the most of the experience. Staff: The staff at Hotel Pinetop is very helpful and polite, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay during your visit. Timings: 6 am to 6 pm

The overnight stay in Hotel Mayura Pinetop Nehru Nilaya was bad as the room given to us, I.e. Nehru Nilaya room no 4 was covered in black mould, and we couldn't sleep properly at night. There was no proper maintenance done to the property. Also the TV was not working, towels were not provided, bed sheets and pillows were unwashed and dirty, room service was non existent, hotel staff extremely unfriendly, breakfast, lunch and dinner was hideous with exorbitant prices. Apart from the location of the property, everything else was negative. The only reason to choose this property was KSTDC has absolute monopoly and no other companies can operate above Nandi Hills. Overall a bad experience for me.

The restaurant has very simple menu, but reasonably priced and very tasty The hotel has two main places of stay - Nehru Nilaya and Gandhi Nilaya. The "Reception" is near the parking (and near sunrise point). A road goes around the hilltop connecting all places. We had half the family staying in Gandhi Nilaya and other half in Nehru Nilaya Gandhi Nilaya is a historical, the Mahatma stayed here in 1925. It is also quite a bit below the nearest road line, so those who have problems climbing stairs should definitely avoid this In general this place should be avoided by people with weak knees or heart issues, but Gandhi Nilaya really requires good feet But if your health allows it, and you don't have a problem climbing a couple of floors, Gandhi Nilaya is the place you should book In fact you should take New Block and upper floor rooms We took a delux room, and it was reasonably big (11ft*14ft) Room is good and Gandhi Nilaya has it's own viewpoints for sunrise Nehru Nilaya is at the top of the hill and only a bit about the nearest road point The room we got was small in Nehru Nilaya, about 10*11ft. The place is set in a sort of forest and garden. Building in beautiful. The sunset point is not a point but a wide expanse of open granite rock, just awesome

Property is really good and like an old heritage building ...stayed enjoying here ...don't expect much in terms of service as it's a govt. Hotel ....otherwise worth staying if you love nature ...

The experienced we think of is not what we get there, there isn't proper reception nor any concerned person for providing the room. We had taken 2 cottages for a single day and the rooms had a very unpleasant ambience, it is a very isolated and not a safe place at all. The experience we had there for 2 hours was really upset and not at alll up to the mark. The cleanliness of the room is extremely poor and hence we didn't stay there and asked for the cancellation. After having multiple calls, we got the return amount.f I hope this condition what happened to us wouldn't take place with anyone else.

The place is located at the heart of Nandi Hills. Owned by the Tourism Department of Karnataka, this place provides an exclusive experience to stay INSIDE the Nandi Hills border after the forest curfew hours. We stayed in the room called NND-8, which wasn't so great to be honest, especially not worth the money we paid. Lord Cubbon used to stay here and hold meetings is what is written, but I think he must have held all the meetings in the huge but unnecessarily spacious washroom. Jio and Airtel provide good range, but enough for video calls though. The property does not offer WiFi. The property is monkey infested which is pretty cool, we just have to be cautious. The food tasted good and the pricing was more or less the same amount compared to a good hotel. In case you wish to step out of the compound, kindly do it before 8PM after which the border closes. The compound is also not lit up at night so there is not much to see around either. The view point is open to the ones renting the property, do check it out.

We stayed at Nehru Nilaya Delux room. I wonted to rate 3.5 for the stay and restaurants combined but since I do not have an option rated 3. It costed approx โ‚น2.9k for a night (weekend), food costed average โ‚น500 for one times meal for 2 people. Also there are a lot of monkeys around, donโ€™t leave the door open. And yeah, no AC, but you would not need it. The hotel is right inside Nandi hills so approx 100 mtrs from the Sunrise point. Pros: The rooms were clean, warm. Pictures attached. Food was good. Super close to the sunrise point. Room service was quick to deliver anything requested like hot water or towel. Cons: Bathroom did not have a lock, strange right? Had to call and ask for towels Had to call and ask for hot water, they brought that in a heater but did not bring the plug. So once the water was chilled had to call again for water. Food was slightly expensive and the restaurant always confused. Every time we went they would make us wait for 10 mins before taking the order. At times it would be self service and at times waiter would service. Just couldnโ€™t find the Tv remote, not sure why would they not keep it.

Cons: Lack of connectivity: no intercom, no mobile network, and no WiFi available. Unhygienic conditions: The premises are filled with monkey feces and urine, emitting an unpleasant odor. Cleaning activities were not observed during our stay. Absence of room service. Limited food options: Only South Indian cuisine is available. Basic services like tissue and water on restaurant tables are not provided. Overpriced compared to the services offered. Pros: The property is well-located, offering a good view. Property / Hotel: KSTDC Hotel Mayura Pine Top Nandi Hills Room Type: Sunrise Viewpoint room Booking Date : 24/11/2023 Check In Date : 24/11/2023

Rooms are old but decently maintained. Service can be improved. The location is very good especially in the morning sunrise and walking in the early morning fog. The food is average, and monkeys everywhere visit the room balcony as well.

Stayed in Gandhi new block with family. Location is awesome and it's a great experience to watch sunrise. However the rooms are very overpriced and the service is pathetic. Faced issues with geyser and locks. Will not be able yo access the balconies, as monkeys will be there till late evening. Stay just to experience sunrise and early morning vibe

Stayed in Gandhi nilaya. Please donโ€™t go with any expectations from the star rating of the hotel. It says 3 star but you donโ€™t get the amenities of 2 star. Not at all recommended with family. Restaurant and food is sub standard and not at all recommended for kids or babies. We paid newly 4500 per night. If it is managed by private sector. The experience would have been way better for that price.

This place can be used to beat the early morning queue to visit hills. Apart from this privilege you get amazing views from the balcony. No other special privileges for staying here. At 6pm ,you will be shooed away from hill view point by hooligans with loudspeaker ๐Ÿ“ข like all others who visited with a Rs 20 ticket ๐Ÿ˜† Rooms were ok. Carpets could be cleaner. It can get uncomfortably cold in winters so carry warm clothes. There is no room service in this hotel. Monkeys can raid rooms for food so keep doors closed. Food at the restaurant is below average. Not hygienic either. Consider getting your own food.

Restaurants has bad hygiene and quality. To manage crowd, restaurant should use Bio Degradable Disposable Plates and cups. If it is not allowed, they should have sufficient staffs to clean and serve the customers. In my view, you can stay in the rooms, but arrange your own food.

Overall decent experience, cant call it great. But to expect more from a state govt corporation will be asking for too much. I will request them to provide a decent mattress and enough blankets for the 3rd adult in the room. They charge for the 3rd person, its not a charity. Even the towels given were only 2 for triple occupancy. However, the room boys were courteous and willing to help with whatever possible. Main restaurant was a complete mess in the morning, with many people around waiting for long time for breakfast.

Clean rooms with scenic views. Service was very slow, we checked ourselves out rather than wait for the housekeeping staff. Rooms are placed at good spots. You can witness the valley from the road just outside the rooms.

Hotel Mayura Pinetop is the best stay in Nandi Hills, Gandhi Nilaya, and Nehru Nilaya are the name of two different stays. I will suggest you book Gandhi Nilaya because the view from the balcony is amazing you can witness the sunrise as well from a balcony. Stayed for one night and amazing experience.

A nice hill station retreat near the city limits with fabulous weather & view points. Food is not served in the rooms, reason being primarily the monkeys who are part of the habitat there. One has to be careful not to open any food packet inside the room, as a small sound is enough to invite the whole monkey family. Post having a good view from the balcony in Gandhi Nilaya block, ensure to close the balcony doors to avoid havoc by the monkeys. Rooms & bathroom are clean, well maintained, spacious & provided with basic necessities as water, towels n toiletries. Santhosh, the room service guy for providing water & towels is always reachable on his cell for any basic requirements. Food available at the restaurants, which is situated at a lil walkable distance is served hot, good & average priced. Night is super windy & the morning is fabulous with mist, wind & rain, giving complete feeling of a hill station. Do carry light warm clothing. Carry Maggie & hot water kettle, if you don't want to walk down to the restaurant but be aware to close the balcony & the main door before you prepare so. Ensure that window meshes are properly secured & your TV is working before you check in. One can watch sunrise from the balcony itself, if lucky enough for the fog not to come into picture & avoid the general crowd. In short, you would love staying for a night, if you love nature in true sense & don't have rocket high expectations.

While the location itself is heavenly, the crowd is sickening and service is pathetic to say the least. If Karnataka tourism focuses on the quality of service offered, this location as well vacation would be unbeatable. All my stars go to the location, however, the service offered is so poor that one would think twice for a revisit.

I travelled here on a solo bike trip. Positives- 1. Excellent location of the room. You can have a great view from balcony. 2. Spacious room. 3. Night view is amazing. Negatives- 1. Around 30 mins wait for check-in check-out. 2. No wifi. 3. Water leaking in bathroom. 4. No water, tea, coffee packets or hot water kettle in the room. 5. Reception office and restaurant is 100 mts away. 6. Breakfast is ordinary.. No dosa, no eggs. 7. Parking is on the road on one side. Monkeys may damage your vehicle. 8. Overpriced.

This info is about Mayura hotels/restaurant on Nandi Hills . The location gets all the stars, but not the hotel management. Accommodation has been restored beautifully , alas, the service is pathetic. I have to appreciate Ramesh- Receptionist- made his effort to check in /checkour effortlessly. There were no drinking water, no hand/bath towels, no Coffee/Tea making facilities even in so called Deluxe rooms. Tariff is international, Service is less than local. Evening dinner at Hotel was kind of rushed to cook, felt like it was from pre-packed /microwavable food. So spicy. you must ask them to cook according to your needs. Morning breakfast is OK, but not to the level of price you paid for. Big compensation is the natural beauty of Nandi Hills , gardens, paved paths. Some tips would be to keep a towel, water bottle, may be carrying a kettle? When the hotel reception calls you to confirm- ASK them to keep towels/water etc. Reaching the hotel- once you are up on the hill, DON"T go to carpark, continue on your left- in-front of Electricity office, an attendant will stop you to collect parking fee, then thro' all the way till the road ends- there you'll see information cum reception. Take your own padlock for safety . For morning walks, carry a sweater , it could be too cold. Make a point to complaint, if you are not satisfied. Best wishes.

Except for whatever nature has given by default-the awesome views and foggy hills, these people at Hotel Maurya are good at spoiling your entire experience of the place, let it be the rooms or the restaurant. It's horrible place to stay but awesome place to grab a view and get back to business. The pricing of food is sky high like the hills and the quality is vice-versa. The stay at the hotel room was a nightmare. No room service High pricing of food Worst room maintenance

Booked Gandhi New Block. Eventhough the room is spacious but not painted the walls for years. Seen small fungus on walls, curtains and cot headrest. Room didn't had a electric kettle. Due to monkeys everywhere need to be cautions while carrying food items.

5* to rooms and location. But actually thereโ€™s no room service. Except water, you donโ€™t get anything in the room. Not even tea. Even water will take ample of time and several follow ups. Rooms are super expensive!
